Surprisingly best accomodation for backpackers”

Good Environment, Friendly Staffs, Free Bicycle Riding

I was very surprised that the existing for such a good place for backpackers in Ipoh. Clean, comfortable accommodation with the international feel that every backpacker seeking for. Provided with free bicycle for you to go around old town.Near to Ipoh railway station and old town. Just one thing to mention is it's a bit hard to carry the bike up and down from the studio. However, I like BBBS very much and definitely will go back to there if i got a chance to travel to Ipoh again.

best hostel so far!”

first time in ipoh, the staff were super friendly towards me, people were nice too, sadly i just stay for a night only, you could also use the bike freely, the hostel is great easy to find, near bus terminal, around 5-10mins walking distance (you just have. to go straight and cross the busy road, ipoh is small city but have lots of things to explore and you will love it, missing the time when i was staying there:(

Clean, friendly, new

I've booked a couple of nights here and I've ended up to stay one week. Ipoh it's a nice place to explore and the hostel, even if it's not in the center, it's easy to reach with bus (n°117). The staff is amazing helpful and friendly, one of the best hostel in Asia!

Not recommended”

The location of this hostel is good, you can go anywhere in ipoh city centre on foot if you live here. But the facilities here is terrible, there was only one big room with 6 beds ( if I don't misremember it) and there are no differences if you book the cheapest one and the most expensive one. (because you can choose any bed you like) the staffs here are mostly backpackers and some of them are not so friendly. It's hard to get any useful information from them.

Chill vibe”

The hostel is super chill and the people friendly. The only issue, which was a non event, was that the private room is not a real room but a makeshift one on the edge of the boys dorm. Does offer privacy, but for the price I would've booked elsewhere for a real room.

A lovely friendly hostel. ”

The owner is really friendly and makes it a lovely hostel. It is a great set up with a comfortable living room with a tv, DVDs and books, a kitchen with free tea, bread and jam and a good shower. The location is also good. I arrived by the train station and left from bus station, both walking distance and the town is very close. My only negative comments is that is was extremely hot in the upstairs bedroom where I was put, im use to the heat but it was stiffling. Also the plastic sheets have been left on the mattresses and therefore make such a noise when anyone moves and also might have added to the heat.. Other than that a good place 😀

brand new and cheap prices”

brand new, spotles clean and relaxed atmosphere

If you're happy in a open plan dorm room (four set of bunks, two single bed separated by curtain) this is a really good choice: everything's brand new, there are heaps of comfortable couches and the WiFi works well. Bike rental and basic breakfast available. Can get crowded at weekends when people are sleeping on mattresses on the floor (even cheaper rates for that). Now they're working at installing a second bathroom. Feels more like a homestay than a hostel. It's difficult to find though (look out for the blue door that leads upstairs).

something uncommon”

cheap rates, all nice and modern, free bike rental

I agree the place is hard to find; look out for the tiny sign at the blue door that leads upstairs. But in the big open room of the studio you'll find everything clean and modern; the place is brand new you can tell. Well working Wifi, free bike rental, free basic breakfast, tea and coffee during the day. Heaps of couches to relax on. Only one bathroom plus an additional toilet, but it's still okay as the place only sleeps up ten persons, including the two volunteers that run the place. The IKEA bunks are comfortable enough, two single beds are separated from the others by a curtain. Great value for little money if you're willing to share room and facilities. It feels less like a hostel than more like a shared flat or a couch surfing place.

Very good”

It's overall not a bad place it's easy to find, easy to get to and out of. Big TV with movies and a Playstation. good amount of space around the beds and they care about bed bugs. The building is hot more often then not, hotter inside than out. the two ac units are off more than on and when they are on takes so long to cool off the area it just seemed pointless. The owners are cool and will do anything for you. But you got to find them first. They could be upstairs or gone for a few hours. I didn't know one of the people there was a volunteer until about a hour before we left. he probably said 7 sentences to us over the course of 2 days. I'm not sure what the point of being there was because it had nothing to do with us 4 guest. I know electricity cost money, but sweating regardless of whether your inside or not doesn't win points in my book. And blackout curtains around 2 beds doesn't equal a private room, or the price. but we're kind enough to down grade us to dorm.

Very good”

We were pleasantly surprised by the full kitchen and large lounge space that was avaliable to guests. We loved the natural light in the hostel with the great homey vibe. Do note that the double room is not strictly a private room; its more a corner of the fan dorm room that has had some chip board put up as wall. Reccommend getting the AC dorm room as the fan dorm and private room can get quite hot (and stay hot) as it has huge floor to ceiling windows for one wall.
