Overall not bad and good value for money. We paid for the lake view room the actual view vs what was shown online was extremely different and disappointing.

Great location”
The hotel is located at the opposite end of the main Sun Moon Lake visitor centre. You will need to take a boat over to Ita Thao where the hotel is situated. It's conveniently located to the ropeway station and the overrated Aboriginal cultural village. The drawback is that check-in time is only at 3pm and check-out time is 11am the next day! Moreover, there are very limited eating places in Ita Thao and most are quite expensive. So, do prepare to either 1) bring your own food; or 2) buy cup noodles at the 7-11 convenient store nearby. Otherwise, the hotel is clean, value for money and the staff are friendly. Also, there are dense fog that engulf the lake quite often and if you are rushing for your next bus out of Sun Moon Lake to the HSR station, please do remember to give yourself a couple of hours advance notice.

I had fixed feelings staying in this hotel. First of all, their hotel staffs are nice and friendly. I really enjoyed talking to them and their services. However, their staffs in breakfast place was cold and unfriendly. Second, I got 10 more bed bugs bites on legs during the second night of my stay. I was woken up and couldn't sleep due to the itchiness. I couldn't find the bed bugs and didn't want to wake my family up (all of us was exhausted after spending a day in 九族) and so I just stayed awake all night instead of calling the deak to change a room. When I complained to the desk and show them the bites, they offered to bring me to a doctor. Yet, I was about to check out for next destination. I thought they would have been compensate me with discount, but they only gave me a cup and tea. I was very irritated by the itchiness in the following days while traveling in Taiwan. The manager called me 2 days later to offer to bring in medication from Sun Moon Lake to Taipei the next day. but again, I was about to leave Taiwan the next day. Thinking of troubling him of traveling all the way from Sun Moon Lake to Taipei just for one antipruritic. I rejected him and he kept apologizing. Although I am touched by the manager's sincerity, I still believe there is a better and more efficient way to handle this issue. Hope the management can read this review and introduce some trainings to their staffs-- Bed bugs is a SERIOUS issue in USA. I hope I didn't get some of the bed bugs back to my home.

Superb hotel at Sun Moon Lake”
Lealea Garden Hotels is at the Itachao Pier. Very modern, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is offered at a different wing - but with a gorgeous view of the lake. Cable car ride is just behind the hotel - very convenient!

More than expected”
The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Booked twin bed mountain view room, came out to double bed lake view and I think it's for four. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The lake view is beautiful. Location is good with lots of food stalls with native food ingredients.

Nice boutique hotel”
Hotel has modern furnishings, relatively new and very well maintained. Room is not big but like the layout as it has all the nessistites like the wardrode, mini fridge, TV etc. The beds are huge (2 Super single combined) and roomy for 2 adults and 11 year old child. Our room faced the mountains and looking down to Itashao village view. It would have been perfect if we were given the lake view though. Breakfast spread is decent nothing to shout about. However, we can enjoy the lake view while having breakfast at the restaurant. Our toilet bowl was choked on the 2nd night as we were unaware that toilet paper cannot be thrown in Taiwan toilet bowls like our home country. We called the hotel staff and a lady swiftly came to unclog the toilet. The staff was efficient and polite. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to this hotel.

Lake view rooms, quiet location, helpful staff”
The stay overall was very nice. The room was quite good, with a good view of the lake. The counter staff were very helpful despite their limited English skills. The hotel is located near the boat jetty, tickets are available at a cheaper price at the hotel. Otherwise, the location is very quiet with no nightlife. I felt the Shuishe pier to be more active. Breakfast was good, with limited choice for vegetarians. The hotel doesn't have much food choices during odd hours of the day otherwise.

Booked room with lake view. Nice night view with a small balcony. Room is clean. Has a club house with a range of facilities like swimming pool and pool table. Near yidashao boat terminal. Good food around the area.

Comfortable and convenient ”
Great stay at this hotel. The bed is huge. the location of the hotel is superb as its just a few minutes walk to the ita shao old street. A lot of nice food there and 7-11 is conveniently located near the hotel. Free shuttle service to the tourist information centre at 水社. You can take the bus back to Taichung.

Professional hotel just as you would expect from a hotel chain”
Beautiful room that is a bit worn off. Good location and clean room, friendly staff that may seem a bit choreographed and business-like reply without the warmth of Taiwanese. Facilities (such as breakfast / swimming pool ) are located at another building, which makes it slightly inconvenient. Despite the shortcoming, this is still one of the more presentable and pleasant hotel in the area.

overpriced hotel with poor management”
we choose this hotel mainly because of the location and the rating from agoda. Sun building is a new building, the room is new and clean, however the quilt was ageing tear. In addition, the hotel just combine two single beds as a double and placing two single quilts. It's not good for couple. The hotel doesn't care about couple guests therefore can't provide double bed for couple and all lake view rooms just for four guests. Furthermore, the management of sanua was very poor, no staff to clean up the washroom therefore smelly around the changing room.

Clean room and convenient location”
Had comfortable stay at this rather new hotel. The only issue for the elderly in our party was the walk to the sister hotel for breakfast. The walk involved a flight of stairs up to the hotel lobby and then a longer flight of stairs down to the basement.

Very new hotel linked to 木屋 where the Facilities are at. Hotel is at itasuo so u need to take ferry or bus there. Must go to take the ropeway and amusement park up there to know abt the aboriginal.

Not wheelchair friendly. Inconvenience to move around. Restaurant for breakfast was away from the hotel rooms. Located at another block especially if staying at Sun hotel. Confusing for driver because of 3 hotels bearing the same name. The breakfast spread was poor with slow replenishing of food. The pool was small.
