Had a great stay at the Mango Beach Resort”
Had a great stay at the Mango Beach Resort. My son enjoyed the private beach. Unlike other beaches where you have heathens running amok and you having to worry if you are gonna be robbed or your family harmed, this is private/secluded resort. There isn't another resort for at least 1 kilometer in either direction. Good bar in the lobby and at the beach front. Sands must have been brought in because they are white. The landscaping is professionally done and maintained. Everything is kept clean. A few kilometers down the road is a great and classy coffee shop/restaurant called folkways. Breakfast is complimentary and there is an omelet station in addition to a buffet style breakfast. The only issues I found were some plumbing fixtures may be loose due to usage, Satellite TV doesn't always have good reception due to overcast, water needs additional filtering, and on a full weekend, parking is limited but if you don't mind parking on the grass, you are golden.

This resort is so nice and foreign supportive. good for relax and truly peaceful rest, in Facilities i give only 4star because TV's cable can't watch and wifi at room often loss signal, fitness also air-conditioner broke, pool is magnificent if you don't mind about facilities too much and y'all don't care to stay at middle-of-nowhere, This one is good choice.

This was a beautiful place to relax and just have quiet time! Disappointing that the garbage had to be cleaned up from the beach everyday but that wasn’t their fault.

Great staff”
We went 18th June for one night while on a motorbike trip. We arrived wet and the staff were great for getting all our clothes through the laundry / dried and back to us by early next morning. We were the only people at the resort, it was great, not much round about for restaraunts or things to do but good for one night rest. I would return if ever down that wat again.

Great resort with wonderful staff. It’s out of the way and a bit challenging to get there so plan your travel ahead of time. Beware of Trat taxi drivers!!!

Isolated”
Isolated while remaining on the mainland. This place is far but cozy and quiet as if we were on the island except that we didn't have to take a boat. Good choice for travelling with toddler or elderly.

Above average”
In the hihgsaison maby it is perfect. But not in the outsaison. It is not like on the website-the photos and video are different to the reality. For exampel the beach-bar. It‘s out of order!!!

Total relaxation in a beautiful setting”
The resort isolated which was the reason I choose it. The drive from Bangkok Airport was straightforward about five and half hours. I drove a rental you need one if you are to get around Trat. Valerie the manager is the perfect host and manages a very professional friendly team. The staff were second to none. The grounds of the hotel are large, well maintained and very tropical in appearance. The pool is large with great views to the beach. The beach is private but you can kayak and surf. Next year the hotel will have a speedboat to visit Koh Mak and other offshore islands. Breakfast is adequate if unadventurous serving American and Thai. Limited options. Lunch and dinner choices are very good - the fresh fish is excellent. Drinks and wine reasonable prices. I took a deluxe bungalow on the beach - bliss. Housekeeping is efficient and timed to meet your needs. The local town Khlong Yai is a type small Thai town with a food market. It has ATMs, 7 Eleven etc. the area is very rural and non tourist. The border and market ( copy goods etc) is a very easy 25 minute drive. Be warned, this is mosquito country, spray well or be badly bitten. Thoroughly recommended if you want somewhere new away from typical Thai resorts.

Fantastic!”
We stayed 9 nights in this beautifull resort with our 1 year old baby. The general manager Valerie and her staff made everything possible! Their service is incredible! The rooms are very comfortable and super clean! Very good bed, shower, white fresh linen, towels etc. The restaurant offers a lot of specialties and if you have a special request they made it possible too! The cocktail bar is fabulous! The staff are specialists! Maybe the Mango Beach Resort is a little isolated, but if you re looking for a relaxing holiday in a luxurious resort with excellent staff from where you can walk along the beach for many kilometers...then you re at the right adress!

Such friendly staff”
Our stay at Mango Beach Resort was perfect. We initially booked just 2 nights but changed our plans because we were enjoying ourselves so much. The no.1 thing you will notice is how friendly the staff/manager is and that they really will do anything they can to help you enjoy your stay. It is a brand new hotel so everything is in perfect working order and very clean. They have bicycles and kayaks to use free of charge which is a great way to explore the surrounding area. The food in the restaurant is nice and very nice place to enjoy a drink of an evening. I highly recommend this hotel for a quiet couples holiday.

Great stay”
From the time of arrival till the time we left the staff were terrific. All very friendly including the host who spoke with us on a couple of occasions. The man at reception was most pleasant. The resort was spotless as was the beach. There were very few guests which made the stay more enjoyable. Very clean pool plus it had a spa attached. The breakfast was really good, cooked part by order and the rest buffet. Healthy selection of foods. Evening meal was very tasty with excellent service. Have stayed at a lot of resorts in Thailand and the Mango Beach would have to be up with the best of them. Definitely will return when next in the region.

Romantic, relaxing and spoiling vacation”
Perfect getaway vacation. The hotel is only one year old so the facilities are great. It's located on a beautiful beach (private for hotel guests), and offers kayaks and surfboards for guests. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was super gorgeous and spacious, if you book the deluxe room, the mini-bar is free and refilled daily. Breakfast buffet is good, the restaurant doesn't have too many vegetarian options for other meals. They also host nice performances at nights (we saw a music and fire show). The hotel feels like a remote paradise, if you're looking for bars&parties, it's not for you as the hotel is the only thing around. If you're traveling from Tart, you can take the minibus to Cambodia, the driver will drop you by the hotel and they'll come to pick you up, you can also catch it on your way back to Trat. It costs 80 baht instead of 1,500 a taxi would.

Mango - A shining star or a rotten fruit?”
The Mango Resort is a great little newly opened resort along the remote Trat coastline. The overall layout and structure is both logic and nice, but is just opened December 1st, 2012, so expect some start-up problems. In the bungalow I stayed at, one of the taps had the hot/cold water reversed, the shower drain was plugged flooding the floor, the curtains felt out of the sealing, the door could not be locked from outside and a monster spider was in the room at arrival. The spider was just Thai nature paying a visit, the room was really well cleaned and tidy. On the up side, everything in the room from towels, bed linnet, Jacuzzi, magnifiying mirrors, TV, aircon are top quality. The restaurant needs a lot of improvement too, the menu is full of spelling/typing errors and is too French for the average tourist. Most food was not available for dinner and there was no bread for breakfast, because the morning delivery was late. Un-uniformed staff and a general manager walking around bare footed in flip-flops and shorts was a little too laid back. A pair of shoes and a shirt with the resort logo would make a world of difference. The guy who build the resort sure got it right and The Mango Resort has all the potential to be a shining star at the Trat coast or Thai chaos will take over and it will just be another rotten fruit alone the road.
