A lovely hotel in an unvisited part of the world!”
We booked the Oasis Atjeh at the last minute, due to a change in our travel plans, and we needed an overnight hotel in Banda Aceh. We picked this hotel due to the reviews on a couple of different websites. We didn't use the transfer services, as we had the service of a gentleman called Fidos (if you need a taxi service in Banda, please message me for his details) from the Ulee Le port to the hotel and then to the airport the next day. We booked a suite, as it was cheap enough and we were very pleased with the room. Two armchairs in front of a large LCD screen and a work table. Plus there was a dressing table in the bedroom area. The bed was very large and the linen was clean. The bathroom was large, well lit and the towels were also very clean. The toiletries and essentials provided were good too. There was a tea/coffee tray in the living area, which was good for a coffee first thing. The restaurant was deserted on the 3 occasions we used it (lunch, dinner and breakfast), however, the service we received was excellent. The prices were reasonable for a hotel too. The food was freshly cooked to order and we had no complaints with the food at all! The wifi signal for all 3 of the access points was reachable from our room, with no lack of range. We were on the first floor, opposite the lifts, but could get access from any place in the hotel we were at. Overall, I would recommend this hotel! Room Tip: Pay the little extra and get a suite, it's worth it!

I (27) and my friend (30) had a blast staying at Oasis Atjeh. The hotel has approximately 90 rooms with great WiFi connections. They had such an amazing front desk and room services. Free airport transfer included if you request it early enough. Aceh, itself, has a remarkable landscape to enjoy so it's fitting to complement your stay in a hotel like Oasis.

So during Fasting month, hotels in Banda Aceh are discounted. Oasis was especially so. We booked an executive room which was super spacious for the price of a smaller room during the rest of the year. Everyone was courteous and they even made sure we had breakfast everyday although almost everyone else was fasting. Would come back for sure!

Very nice hotel, the greatest staff!”
The staff at this hotel went way beyond expectations helping us solve a problem. They couldn't have been nicer! We enjoyed the tsunami museum and their recovery from that disaster. Banda Aceh is also the gateway to Palau Weh, an island with great beaches and excellent diving.

this is a small unpretentious establishment, tastefully appointed, comfortable, thoughtfully laid out with a pleasant dining room located in a tropical garden, complete with fish ponds, and access to wefi. the staff understand discreet service. the breakfast are worth getting up for, the coffee free flowing (after all sumatra is coffee headquarters. mainly used by domestic business travellers these days, there is a lounge area in the foyer which allows for business visitors to wait or for informal meetings to take place.you will need a car or car and driver if you stay here, but then that is going to be the case where ever you stay in banda aceh.

I don't like my stay at Oasis Atjeh Hotel because every room has cigarette smell and I really hate cigarette smell. Moreover, the pillows still smelled. We asked to change the pillow when we went out for having dinner outside. When we were back, we asked whether they have done it. They said they did but nothing changed. The pillows still smelled. We asked again, and we went out to visit the grand Mosque. We went back to the hotel and found out, that the pillow (whether they have been changed or not, hard to tell), still smelled. So, we just gave-up to ask again.

Decent Hotel in Banda Aceh”
The staff is very poor as they were not able (or willing) to organize a taxi with a driver to do some sightseeing for an appropriate price. They did not even have a map of Banda Aceh and the directions they gave for the must sees were incorrect. If you want to get around, you really need to book a taxi somewhere else!! Oasis Atjeh Hotel is a decent Hotel in Banda Aceh, nothing more, nor less. The rooms are not new, but still okay. The breakfast was good (also Indonesian food, freshly made omlettes). The food served in the restaurant at night is okay, but overpriced.

Nice Enough for a Transit Hotel”
The hotel is nice enough for a one or two nights' stay if you're transiting from Pulau Weh or elsewhere in Aceh to the airport. Unfortunately it's a bit far from all the sights to be a really good base for exploring Banda Aceh itself, although from what I saw there really isn't anything better closer-in. There also isn't anything nice in the way of shops or restaurants near the hotel, so your options are to either eat in or arrange for a car to take you someplace. That said, the hotel is comfortable. The rooms are well fitted with most of the standard amenities. The breakfast buffet was really basic, and oriented almost entirely to Indonesian tastes, but the menu of other dishes had a nice selection and the food was good enough. The wi-fi connection in the rooms could be a bit iffy, but the lobby and restaurant usually had a good connection.

for a three star hotel, this oasis atjeh hotel is quite a good hotel to stay. the room is nice and cozy with a great service with smile from the staff. however the bathroom was not really in good condition.

Oasis Atjeh Hotel is a decent 3 star hotel, nothing more, nor less. The breakfast was good, the food in the restaurant at night is okay, but overpriced. very friendly and great receptionists with good english ready to accommodate all requests. the room was clean and made up well and upon request quiet. oasis hotel has a nice and cosy atmosphere despite it has many rooms, breakfast was acceptable and had of course more asian than western choice.

we only stayed 1 night while in transit. There was a mix up with the booking but the staff were professional and sorted it out with little fuss. Food was OK but there was little choice for Indonesian breakfast, you'll do well if you want a western breakfast. TV reception was abysmal and WiFi very unreliable. We did not stay at any other hotels in Banda Aceh so have nothing to compare it to but for the price I was expecting a little more.

Pleasantly surprised!”
We didn't expect much from this hotel initially considering it's price but we were pleasantly surprised by it! Breakfast was great, staff were accommodating and our room was clean and comfortable. There aren't any nearby shops though but you can always transport yourself there easily.

Not great but there isn't much choice in Aceh”
Banda Aceh is a developing area so the choices for hotels are limited. This hotel is about 10 mins drive away from the main center. The staff were nice but overall, it wasn't a great place to stay. We changed rooms 3 times because ants were all over the bed. The breakfast is mainly local food and a small selection of western food. The wifi kept cutting out. It wasn't a cheap stay either.

Enjoyed it very much”
I loved this hotel - I was there for three nights, and found it to be really nice. The rooms are a decent size and very comfortable, and the gardens are very tranquil and a lovely environment to eat beside. The restaurant is good, though as someone with a chilli intolerance, it was sometimes difficult, but they were friendly and helpful. It is easier if you speak in Indonesian rather than English, as sometimes the English level isn't great, but the staff will approach you in English. It isn't located in the centre of town, so it's not walking distance to anywhere, but becaks aren't expensive, and the concierge will call you one. When I come back, I'll stay here again.
