We've been here quite a few times now. If the tariff is competitive I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Check in was friendly, efficient and helpful The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Everything works as it should. Poonsook is very close to some great places to eat (our pick is District 65). Our first choice depending on the rate. Highly recommended.

Great staff, always welcoming and friendly with big thai smiles. Perfect location very close to the bus station. Quiet clean hotel with good sized rooms. Nice thai buffet breakfast. On this trip the wifi was unstable at times. Would I return here? Absolutely, always the only place I stay. Looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent value for money. 4 minutes walk to the bus station that takes you right to Sukhothai historical centre. Quick Grab ride to train station. Breakfast was a buffet, they change dishes a bit each day so it can be hit or miss for Westerners depending on what they serve that day. Very clean room, well-built with no bugs. Good TV. Good shower. Soft bed. My only complaint was that the staff weren't very helpful. We used our Google translate app to ask them a few questions in Thai and the advice they gave us was short and inaccurate (for example, they said we have to take a taxi to the train station and as we waited the next day, two songthaews drove by us). Not a huge deal as we are quite self-sufficient and the price was great for the quality.

Room is clean and comfortable. Location is good for transit as the Poonsook Bus Terminal 1 is few minutes walk from the hotel, and Wat Pra Si Rattana Mahathat, Wat Racha Burana and railway station are in walkable distance about 20 to 25 minutes if don’t take local bus (bus is look like songthaew). Room rate against the aforesaid is worth to stay while a visit to Phitsanulok.

2 mins walk from the bus station (buses to Chiang Mai etc), but tucked away so that it was not busy. Taxi / tuk tuks are cheap, honestly priced and metered (if you've been to Bangkok, you'll appreciate this) and therefore this hotel, 5- 10 mins drive from the train station (60 baht) is excellent. I can't fault the hotel (breakfast at 80 baht was perfectly acceptable) . Fantastic deal. Phitsanulok is worth 2 nights - 1 to settle and 1 to have looked around (unlike Lop Buri - get off the train on the way to Phitsanulok to see the monkeys and get back on the train 2 hours later). A small town, with a few interesting places to visit and you feel as though you are in a Thai town, with friendly people where farangs pay Thai prices. Again, if you have been to Bangkok, you'll understand.

Perfect location for the bus station”
Perfectly located for the old bus station. Only 5 minutes walk. Staff friendly. Rooms are a good size and clean. Always quiet for a good sleep. A small buffet breakfast is normally included. This hotel has always been perfect for my needs and I look forward to staying here. If using this hotel as a base to explore Phitsanulok then you will need some form of transport. Motorbike, car or taxi. Plenty of parking available. I normally have a rental motorbike which can be hired near the bus station. My first choice budget hotel in Phitsanulok.

Quite place, close to the Phisanulok bus terminal ”
My second stay at Poonsook Residence and I´m very happy again. The Poonsook Residence is a nice, clean and professionally managed place which is just half a block from the bus terminal. My room was clean and everything worked as it should. There´s plenty of food just a few foot steps away. The breakfast is very basic, but considering the room price, its absolutely ok. All in all great value for money…

Booked this hotel because it was extremely handy to the bus station. It was excellent value and the staff were fantastic. My room was large and perfect for me. And I also received a free daily breakfast. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Phitsanulok.

clean and well maintained hotel in a convenient location in Phitsanulok. I've stayed here quite a few times now but took a break because I thought the level of hospitality had dropped. The rooms are comfortable, there's a lift, and it's within walking distance of any number of restaurants. The interchange area where highways 11 and 12 meet is subject of on going roadworks, yes it's 6 km away but it's a bit messy depending on whigh way you come to town or leave the next day. The big change, I'm pleased to say, is the breakfast room has reopened which makes the tariff of about baht 500 even better value. It's basic but adequate and beats stopping again 5 minutes down the road. Recommended.

Poonsook is a new no frills hotel. I used it as a transithotel with good rooms an affordable price. Breakfast was simple but good enough to survive a morning. If you are not in transit then there are better options in Phitsanulok but at a higher price.

Hotel is just a short 2-3 minute walk from the old bus terminal. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff at the reception could speak good English as well which is pretty rare in Phitsanulok.

New hotel close to Bus station”
Chose this hotel because it was very close to the bus station which we needed to access a day trip to Sukhothai Ruins and our onward journey the next day. It was also very cheap but seemed to have good facilities. Arrived to find a brand new hotel with a very nice room and all the facilities you would expect in a modern hotel with the exception of an in-room safe. The only issue was the free Wifi which we had to step out into the hallway to access. The area is virtually all Thai which is kind of cool and adds to the travel experience. If you are using Phitsanulok as a base or stopover I would recommend this hotel

Great for an overnight stay!”
We stayed at Poonsook for one night on our way to ChiangMai. The room is clean, the shower has no curtain or door, so it is all over after we had a shower. I guess it is a typical Thai hotel. Good breakfast with options for Thai or western food. Overall, it is a good value for money.
