I stayed 2 nights at the hotel and everything was wonderful. The hotel is located in the city center with many facilities nearby. Staff were enthusiastic and professional. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and clean. The swimming pool was beautiful, and the breakfast had a wide variety of dishes. However, I was disappointed with the hotel’s Spa voucher. At check-in, the receptionist gave me a voucher for a 15% discount when using the hotel’s Spa service. My girlfriend and I had many massage options around, but we wanted to support the hotel’s service. We went to the Spa and booked a massage for 2 people. When it came time to pay, the Spa staff told me the voucher only applied for 1 person, while the other had to pay the full price. I checked again the information printed on the voucher.

Both myself and my best mate decided on a last-minute stay in Bali and chose Ramayana Resort and Suites for its location and price. I’ve stayed at Ramayana many times since childhood, and now years later as an adult, it was great to return. The resort has had a huge makeover since my last visit — it’s beautiful, very trendy, and up to date while still holding onto its Bali charm. Although one of the pools has been removed, the main pool is stunning: tropical, with great pool bar service and plenty of lounges and seating throughout. We stayed in a Club Room on the 9th floor (though with the skipped floor numbers, it’s actually the 4th and highest floor). The room was spacious, beautifully presented, overlooked the gardens, and had all the fixtures you’d expect in a Club Room. Dining is a real highlight, with multiple options: the main restaurant, a Mexican spot, a sports bar, an Italian restaurant, and more. The location is also perfect — everything is right at your doorstep: shopping, day spas, countless restaurants, plus just a 5-minute walk to Kuta Beach and the famous Waterbom Park. You really can’t ask for more in terms of convenience. The only let-down for me was the restaurant breakfast. It’s very busy, often difficult to find a seat, and while there are many choices, the quality just isn’t up to the standard of other hotels in Bali. There’s only one egg station, which means lining up for up to 15 minutes while the rest of your food goes cold. They do offer large Western selections, with smaller vegetarian and Indonesian options, but overall, it felt underwhelming. We upgraded to have breakfast included and honestly, I wish we hadn’t — we ended up heading elsewhere for better options. If you’re just after something to fill the tummy it’s fine, but for good food, I’d recommend skipping the breakfast package. All in all, Ramayana is a lovely hotel that works for all types of holidays — solo travellers, couples, or families with children. I’d definitely recommend it and would stay again, though I’d give the breakfast a miss next time.

We stayed for 4 nights with the family. It seemed possible to request a shuttle bus from the airport, but we didn't since Grab taxi was cheaper. You can walk to the beach, and although it takes a bit of walking to reach Discovery Mall and Beach Walk, it is a convenient location. There are many shops around, and you can enjoy sightseeing. The hotel's facilities are old, but the luxurious decor is lovely, especially around the restaurant on the first floor which has a lot of plants. Only I was bitten by a mosquito once among my family. (We used insect repellent.) The breakfast at this restaurant had a rich variety, and we were able to enjoy Indonesian cuisine. The meat menu was limited to about one dish per day, so it might not be enough for meat lovers. There is an abundance of vegetables and sweets. Additionally, there are Italian and Mexican restaurants available after lunchtime. The room was spacious, and the facilities were sufficient, but I was bothered by the fact that the tea and coffee packs were dirty. The shower temperature was warm, but the water pressure was lacking. I also felt that there was variability in the quality of cleaning depending on the staff in charge. There is a kids' area and pool for children, but the kids' area is not designed for infants. The kids' pool is set in a natural environment, so there are floating plants, but the water looked clean.

Yes I have stayed in Ramayana as a repeat well over 20 times in past 15 years ++ .........comfortable, with great food - including an amazing breakfast buffet. The renovations are very largely a significant improvement. Great Rainfall showers!!!! BUT. We all want to use WIFI and over the years Ramayana improved the WIFI so it WAS great in all rooms. This was a progressive improvment from 2010 onwards. NOW it is the cause of my BUT - I cannot recommend to anyone wanting to use a Laptop PC in the room....it is horrible to struggle with and have to seek so much help [given very nicely indeed by Front Office staff] - this only partly helps until it FAILS YET AGAIN........all because a "hotspot" system was introduced with the renovation. It was NOT a technical improvement = a series of HEADACHES has been introduced; this particular hotspot solution is spotty to say the least. It is also "infuriating" to the level of "money back please" on my vacation!!! As it is this is a major degradation in the "guest experience". I do hope Ramayana "top" management rectify - PCs use a lot more bandwidth than cell phones and tablets. This is a "known fact" - and if you cater for only cell phones and tablets let's be clear about that. You are not for me until this is resolved. I invite you to try your own laptops [serious busineses people do need to use them]. Your guest experience is unnecessarily let down.........technology is a challenge - it needs proper understanding. “Had a wonderful experience for us and my son”
The whole flow was amazing and memorable. Facade of the hotel shows modernized hotel yet gives Bali vibe thanks to the frangipanis, water fountains, limestones and wooden partitions. The staff guided us to the cozy Suite Lounge right after we arrived since our Lumbung Suite wasn't ready yet. The pathway to our Suite is a bit circling the main pool and was lush with flowering lantanas and heliconias which gives a comfortable yet tropical feel. The Suite itself was beautiful and homy -- my son loves it thanks to the cute & friendly squirrels jumping around. Microwave, induction stove and JET SHOWER are must haves in a suite and this one has it all. Bathroom area is comfy, well lit and huge, which has the size of about 2/3 of the bedroom itself. We had comfortable sleep every night thanks to the medium-firm bed. The pillows could be bit smaller, though. The hotel is connected to several restaurants i.e., Gabah and Buka -- the latter gives free breakfast for suite occupants. Both restaurants are not exceptional. More varieties and better taste would be nice. However, both resto's open access to the main road and the property's close proximity to the beach and other destinations is the highlight of the hotel. Also, thank you for the anniversary and birthday perks for me and my little family. It does make our stay much more memorable and will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Kuta Bali! :)
