Pleasant Stay”
My stay at the Richmond Hotel was very satisfying. Although the rooms are compact (as is the case with most “business hotels” in Japan), they are very clean and comfortable. It has all the necessary amenities for a business traveler (i.e. wifi in the rooms). The hotel staff were also very pleasant and friendly. The hotel is a short walk from the main downtown area of Hamamatsu and about a fifteen minute walk from the station. It is probably best to get a taxi from the station to the hotel (about 700 yen at the time of this writing). There is not much around the immediate surrounding area but it is very quiet ensuring a good night’s sleep. Overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel to a business traveler.

Great place and food”
Richmond hotel hamamatsu never failed us to experience the best which includes free buffet b/fast for all. Wont forget our 3days-2nights stay here cause we did celebrate our 10th in this hotel with unexpectedly tasty take out japanese foods for dinner even from 7-11 which is just nearby and other places to eat. It is cost saving and the bed are huge for a family of 5 with small children.

Very comfortable, with polite service”
I went for a business conference and I seemed to be in a much more comfortable place than the others I talked to who were close to the station. The staff were very polite and friendly and patiently let me use my Japanese, even though I later realized they were quite good at English. My single room was a good size and even had a view on the top floor. The breakfast was a spectacular deal, just don't expect much from the coffee. I heard a lot of comments about the distance to the hotel being an issue, but the walk was only about 10 minutes, not much to worry about if you ask me. Overall, I had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again when I visit Hamamatsu.

its quite far from train station but while you walk to the hotel, u will cross all the shops and popular place in hamamatsu. the hotel is very clean and staff is very attentive and if you want to hire a bycycle, there is one bycyele shop just next to the hotel. 2000 yen per day, good bycycle!

Highly recommended”
Staffs are very accommodating and some of them can speak english. The location is 9mins by bus from Hamamatsu station and 14mins by walking. Rooms are very spacious. Beds are bigger than the rooms in other hotel here in Japan.

We've stayed at 3 different Richmond hotels in Japan & they are all consistent with their service. Cleanliness is spot on, food is good and the room is just the right size. Also, the staff are all helpful and nice. That's why we always come back. The service is worth the money you pay.

Nice hotel”
Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff and bed was really confortable. It's a 10 minute walk to the main station. Breakfast was ok. Would be nice to point out wich dish contains meat/gelatine/fish for vegetarians (and dairy/eggs for vegans). Didn't know if the fried noodles/rice had meat in it so I did not eat it. It was a bit pricy. Paid around 12.800 yen for one night, breakfast included. I think 11.000 yen is a better price.

Great Hotel”
It was a nice stay. In fact the best business hotel I've ever stayed in Japan. They provide everything quickly. The room I got was facing the street, but it was so quiet! The breakfast was great, got some varieties that i really like. even the hotel is quite a walking distance from the station, I still like it. You can take a taxi for less than yen, too.

Location not great but amazing hotel!”
We stopped over for one night on our way from Hiroshima to Mt. Fuji. The hotel and room were really clean and comfortable - the bed was particularly comfortable - memory foam pillows! The staff were very helpful and spoke English. The only downside is that the hotel is quite a walk from the station and with underground crossings for the roads - not good if you had a large heavy suitcase or a wheelchair!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The room was made up daily. All amenities were provided. The staff were courteous and helpful.There is a nice restaurant just next door where you they do a buffet breakfast at a reasonable price. The food was good and we ate there during our stay

I stayed 3 nights and was very pleasantly surprised. The price was very cheap but the service was excellent. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Free internet and cheap/excellent breakfast buffet. A 10-15 walk from the station but even closer to the main restaurant/shopping district.

Modern hotel with many services”
It was near freezing outside, but very warm and comfortable inside. The staff were friendly and helpful with our limited Japanese. They provided a key for each person in the room, and had everything a traveller might need on hand for free or a small charge.
