Nice hostel not far from the action”
I stayed a couple of nights while in Melaka, it was close walk to China Town & Junker Street. Breakfast was included which was nice. Generally the places is clean -(the bathroom mats could do with regular changing). Nice facilities in the hostel & I did the night bike which was a good way to see part of the city. Only thing that annoyed me was in the morning when I left there was no ibw st reception so I couldn’t get my deposit back.

Exceptional”
Had a great time during my stay at Ringo’s Foyer. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Howard the ower is very generous and sociable. He gave everyone a red envolope containing 2RM (for good luck) in celebration for the Chinese New Years. Would stay there again!

The owner and team were very welcoming and inviting, lots going on always if you want to meet people. Bike tours, going out for food and loads of information and smiles available at every corner. We enjoyed the atomsphere and the rooftop was awsome.

Very old building”
It is 10 minutes walk to the bus stop. Near Jonker. I stayed on the third floor single room. The place is old but kept clean. If you want to experience living in an old house, this is it. It's not scary though.

Great Location and thoughtful staff”
The two nights spent at Ringo's Foyer Guest House were quite pleasant. The Location is good and the host is so nice and helpful that everybody makes friend with him! Though the AC is a little noisy and shared bathroom not very convenient, still, this place provides the best service at this price.

Cheap and Comfortable”
Ringo's Foyer is located right in the middle of Malacca City. Most of the attractions in Malacca are located just a stone's throw away. The owner of this establishment, Howard, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. After checking out, we were still allowed to use the bathroom for a shower before catching our bus out of Malacca. The room and other facilities were surprisingly good for the very low price we paid. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling on a budget.

Amazing experience in Ringo's”
This is my first time staying in a Hostel. I did not expect Ringo's to be so amazing! Place is clean, serve breakfast and coffee, you can walk 5 min to the main attraction of Malacca which is Jonker street. I had an incredibly amazing experience while staying in Ringo's!! Highly Recommend to all travelers.

The owner makes this one of Melakas best ”
The owner makes this such a fun place. He lives there and always has some fun random thing oraginesed. whether it be a BBQ on the rooftop, free bycycle tour through town, taking you to good local markets and cheap restaurants. Furthermore Ringo's Foyer attracts all sorts like fire twirlers, local magicians and a friendly snake. I have stayed here many times and always have fun. My advice... go with the randomness.... The breakfast is ver basic but there is a small kitchen and the staff will always help you to find a good place to eat.

Owned by an "Angel"”
howard is simply awesome! we got lost looking for ringo's as there are no street signs and people don't know where the street was (not ringo's or howard's fault btw!) and after more than an hour roaming around, we found him... looking for us! in my years of travelling, i never came across a hostel owner who will personally look for his "lost customer" other than howard. we consider him as our "angel" for our trip in malacca most especially his efforts in making us feel very much at home and one with the other guests. for that, i will stay again in this guesthouse :) facility wise, it has the very basic set-up and is generally cleaner than most i have been too. good enough for us!:)

Friendly, welcoming, clean and well managed”
Excellent place to stay. Just outside the hub and buzz of china town, so about a 3 minute walk to Jonker Street, and in the other direction, to the beautiful riverside walk. Howard will show you around the guest house, introduce you to guests, make you feel very welcome. There are bikes to rent and a beautiful rooftop hang out area. Howard's friendly and professional personality makes everyone feel comfortable and promotes a great opportunity for travellers to meet and hang out. Its not a loud party place at all. Very chilled.

Nice stay”
Stayed there for only 1 night, when the owner Howard was giving us a tour, another guest came down and Howard introduced us, even his nationality, this shows Howard is a very detailed person because he did the effort to remember everyone's name and nationality. The house isn't super big, and super clean like hotels, but it has a warm feeling, make you feel like you're in home. The location is superb, Chinese restaurants downstairs, only couple minutes of walk to Jonker street. Rooftop is worth to check out, a nice place to hang out. Overall it's a nice stay, I will definitely come back to this house if I'm visiting Melacca again.

Cheap accomodation”
The owner, Howard, is very friendly. He had organised a short trip to the Jonker street in the evening and introduced the guests to the local food stalls. We did not join the introduction trip as we were already quite familiar with Jonker street. The location of the guest house is near the end of the Jonker street(Centre Stage) and it is just two shops away from Xiang Ji satay house. The guest house is big and the rooms are scattered on the 2nd and 3rd floor. It felt like a maze navigating in this narrow and deep guest house. There are two toilets/bathrooms on each floor, and only one bathroom on the 2nd floor has a heater. They have a free tea/coffee area in the lobby, Wi-fi, TV, a book exchange and a bike rental service. The rooms are basic and the guest house is a bit run down. Even though some of the reviews indicated that they have a nice rooftop leisure area but when we explored the area it is quite shabby. The bed that we slept had bed bugs, it had a small blanket and the bed is uncomfortable. It creaked for every turn we made and we had backaches the next day. The first night, the aircon stopped working twice in the wee hours and it was pretty stuffy, however, Howard got it fixed. Overall, it is a good place to meet and mingle with other travellers but not too much for comfort.

Helpful staff/owner”
The guest house was still under renovation when my friend and I were there. The staff got us a room at another guest house called Discovery which was not bad. Looking forward to staying at newly renovated Ringo next time.

Definitely will be back ”
Had an amazing guest experience here, most of it because of the hostel owner, Howard and the friendly staff helping out. I also took a bike tour with the hostel, which was a unique but recommended experience. Will definitely be back the next time I’m in Malacca!

Great host & clean”
We arrived in Melaka at around 8pm on a weekday. The city is already so quiet and no one around to ask. Thankfully, the hotel has big signage so it is really easy to find. Howard, the host, is definitely friendly and helpful. He introduced us to other guests in the lobby and show us around the hotel. The room is nice with a good working AC. We were worried about the bathroom since it's a shared bathroom but thankfully turned out each bathroom was clean. Howard also help us to order taxi from the hotel. Overall, staying there was really nice and great experience.
