I would return to the Ruean Thai Hotel”
The facility is beautiful, the staff very helpful and personable and the pool and restaurant very nice. The room was not huge, but was large enough, and the setting more than compensated for the room size.

Style”
I have 4* Ruean Thai for location simply because it is 14k from the Ancient Monument Park which is why I visited Sukhothai my mistake. The mistake I didn't make was staying st Ruean Thai, everything is +5* for me. Restaurant food range is excellent at right price breskfast plentiful quite enough to put me through until evening. Ths staff and owners are helpful, friendly and very welcoming. Accomodation spotless. A sure return for me if I'm in the area again.

Charming hotel in the new city”
My husband and I traveled over a long weekend to visit Sukhothai and stayed at Ruean Thai Hotel. It's an incredibly charming hotel, stylized in traditional Thai architecture. Staff are very warm, friendly and helpful when we asked for advice on how to get to the old town and places to eat. This hotel is walking distance to many restaurants, bars and cafes, placing it at a very convenient location. The only issue we noticed was the bugs in the pool. Please closely examine the pool before jumping inside it. Other than that, nothing to complain about! :)

It's just OK”
Basically staff is nice and good service but I found dead cockroach in my room which is super terrifying as I'm really scared of it. Anyways after I informed staff, she immediately change the room for me and apologized. Anyhow I wish the hotel would be more carefull about this cleanliness.

Beautiful traditional style hotel”
So you're coming to visit Sukhothai. Let me guess, you plan on seeing the ruins of the ancient capital – and they are beautiful. So why stay in a chain hotel of cookie-cutter design or crummy guesthouse when you can rest at this amazing thai style location and enjoy the good life? I stayed here for several nights and fell in love with the place. It's convenient to the main thoroughfare, an easy tuk tuk from the historic park, or you can hire one of the hotel cars for the day and have a personal driver. This hotel seems to mostly cater to holiday travelers from France, Germany and Holland, perhaps the traditional style is the draw, but visitors from any country should consider making this their stop for Sukhothai. It's family run which means they're quite dedicated to service and all employees there from the cleaners to the cook seem happy and interested in making my stay pleasant. The included breakfast is quite good, an excellent selection of fresh fruits. I also broke one of my travel rules and opted to eat at their hotel restaurant, usually an overpriced mediocre idea, the food at Ruean Thai Hotel is delightful. Enquire about their ancient recipe pork dish, a house speciality, and something unlikely to find in any other restaurant, it's delicious. Very reasonable prices, a great pool area to relax in. And their pet bunny rabbits hopping around the grounds, frogs abound at night, no insects in your rooms. The style of the hotel is traditional, but the construction is not. The owner used reclaimed wood materials, doors, windows, ancient teakwood timbers to construct a unique and lovely space. Highly recommended at twice the price. I felt like royalty and family all at once.

Wonderful place to rest ”
We stayed this hotel for 3 nights and we felt would like to stay longer if we had more time. It was such a nice place to be. I strongly recommend to visit here if you have plans at Sukhothai. - Wonderful exterior. Beautiful Thai building made with woods. Rooms are big and decent enough what I paid for. - the nicest swimming pool I've seen in Thailand. The length and depth is perfect for swimming. - Impressive housekeeping service. The housekeepers and staffs are seemed to be hard workers. Also they are always very helpful and kind. -The ladies at the reception was SOOO nice and always willing to give you information. - You have to keep in mind that the location is little far from the old town where most of tourisms are: such as Sukhothai historical park, ancient ruins and temples. And to be honest there are nothing much to see in the New Town so you have to go to the old Town anyway. However they give you several options to get to the old town so it was not a big deal for us. Moreover we rather love the place where the hotel located because it was middle of a quiet and peaceful Thai village, quiet at night and day. Tips: -Bycycle is for free, but you have to pay for motorbike rentals. -Free rides are only for heading to bus stations: the terminal in the New Town and the bus stop where you can get on local shuttle bus to the old Town. You should pay for other places.

Beautiful grounds and helpful staff”
the ruean thai hotel is well maintained and is situated on beautifully landscaped grounds. the hotel is a 5-10 min drive from the bus station and from the historical park. the staff provides free transfer to and from the bus station and are very prompt and friendly. they also provide transfer to the historical park at reasonable prices along with free bicycles for your use in exploring the immediate surroundings. staff is extremley nice with good english. breakfast is good. rooms are clean and quaint. not a lot of modern luxury but all basic needs are provided as expected by the price. definitley recommend!

Unique, small hotel with excellent service”
Ruean Thai Hotel is a small hotel with unique character and plenty of antiques on display. It is quite refreshing staying in this hotel compared to other standardized hotels. Service is excellent, esp. at reception. Owner is available for advice / recommendations. English language skills acceptable. Hotel has nice swimming pool. Breakfast (buffet) is acceptable but nothing special (e.g. instant coffee). Rooms are not that big and somewhat dark. Given the fact that hotel is made from wood and rooms do not have glass windows it can be a bit noisy. Bed is large enough but somewhat hard. Restaurant is very good with acceptable pricing. Location is a little bit outside center of Sukhothai but night market is still within walking distance. Overall, we had a pleasant 3-day at this hotel.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, and good food”
We've been in Thailand for a month now and the Ruean Thai was probably the nicest place we've stayed so far. The most striking difference to the other hotels we have stayed is the staff all appeared to be happy and actually enjoyed working there. The food was great (try the wontons!), and the pool and rooms clean! Cool old antiques and rabbits (real, bouncing) also littered the place. Also worth mentioning is the wifi was really fast in our room. The hotel will drive you to the bus to the old city for free, or straight there for a fee. They also took us to the bus station when we were heading up to Chiang Rai, once again for free. Stay there!

Charming backstreet guesthouse”
the ruean thai is a pleasant backstreet hotel in the suburbs of ruean thai. while it has lost some of its former sparkle through aging, it still has a charm about it that makes it a worthy place to stay in sukhothai. while the rooms are adequate, the pool is excellent as is the onsite restaurant. some added charms include the tame rabbits and pleasant common areas. overall then the ruean thai was a good place to stay made even better by the bargain rates available through various booking sites.

Delightful, traditional Thai resort hotel”
From the moment you are greeted, and relieved of your luggage by the charming young Thai staff you are transported into a dreamlike atmosphere of relaxation and pampering! The staff are very helpful with advice for how to get the best out of your sightseeing stay in Sukhothai. The breakfast is delicious, with a choice of menus to cater for all tastes. The rooms are gorgeous, with traditional Thai style decoration, including mosquito nets. The restaurant serves divine traditional Thai food which we enjoyed both nights of our stay. We enjoyed a Thai massage, which is available on site - simply heaven. Ours was accompanied by the faint flashes and crashes of a distant electrical storm, which added to the magical quality. Our stay here was one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. Our only complaint - we wish we had stayed longer!

Splendid hotel with nice swimming pool”
This hotel has free pick-up and drop off from/at the bus station if you contact them. The hotel is about 5 minutes by car from the bus station andin the centre of modern Sukhothai and it might be a bit tricky to find the hotel, because it's in a narrow street. The best thing about this hotel is its friendly staff, who helps you whatever you need and with smiling faces. The swimming pool is fantasticly situated in a quiet courtyard. We had an excellent dinner at this hotel so there's no need to leave the hotel by night and anyway modern Sukhothai doesn't seem too exciting.

Beautiful building”
Beautiful building looks like a museum. you feel peaceful and you know you are in sukhothai Thailand. upon we arrived at bus terminal, called hotel and they picked us up which is very convenient. my parents who usualy stay big concrete building hotel. so first time my parents had staied such a lovely boutique hotel. unique wooden door and windor. They enjoy Ruean Thai. Hotel restaurant is reasonable price and good. Break Fast is nothing much to eat.

Lovely quiet paradise place”
When we arrived at the bus station in Sukhothai, it was late at night. As we could not find a cab or touk touk, we had to call the hotel and the owner came to pick us up. When we waked up the next morning we were amazed by the buty of this small hotel. The pool was mignificent, the restaurant was nice, the breakfast was good, rabbits were going arounds and we did not felt that we were in the city. Actually, the hotel is a little far from the action but the owner is offering free suttle to the main and the city bus station to get to the main site.
