Wonderful Stay”
We really liked our stay at Sai Gon Book Hotel as the location was really handy just 5mins from the airport.It was handy as when we had a flight early or had come back late it was just a quick ride.The rooms were amazing very spacious clean and comfortable.The staff were very friendly and helpful as they would book a taxi for us and recommend us were to go.Also they woke us up when we asked them to early in the morning to catch our flight.The food was not the great. The breakfast included was a very selective menu with not that many choices and mainly had a vietnamese choice. Eventhough there was no safe we could leave anything at the reception and when we left for a few days we could leave some off our stuff in the luggage room.I would defiantly recommend it.

Hotel near airport which is value for money”
I stayed for a night at Sai Gon Hotel as a resting place before my early flight the next Morning. The price is extremely cheap for the room size and breakfast included as well (I did not try due to my early flight timing). The reception staff is very helpful and recommended a good place for my pho craving after midnight. The room toilet and bed are clean but the chairs are otherwise. It didn't bother us since we didn't plan to use the chairs anyway. Cable TV channels are comparable to other 5 star hotels which is impressive. The water takes a long time to heat up though (about 3 minutes). Overall a great place as a stopover with plenty of supper options.

an affordable airport hotel”
The Saigon book hotel is basically an airport transit hotel. It lies 5 mins by taxi from the domestic and international airport of Ho Chi Min City. The reception was very efficient with a warm welcome. The room was compact and very clean, the shower had good pressure and an abundance of hot water. The soap/shampoo containers had not been refilled!!The breakfast had only one western choice, eggs + bread, the other options were Asian. If you have time to spare turn left out of the hotel, and approx. 300m is a factory outlet mall, with a beer bar on the top floor. On the bottom floors there are a KFC. and two other restaurants. Outside there are two coffee shops. In the street adjacent to the mall were several Thai and Korean resaurants

Great place to stay.”
This hotel was ideal for our overnight stay close to the International and Domestic airport.We arrived from Europe late in the evening Having been to this hotel before ignored the taxi touts outside the International airport, we walked round to the Domestic airport,which is to the right as you leave the International. There is a taxi counter near the taxi stand where we booked a taxi to the hotel which is approx. a one kilometer ride. I informed the lady at the taxi stand that i had stayed at the Saigon Book Hotel before and that it was only one kilometer. She had a quick conversation with her co-worker and we agreed on a fare of 90,000 dong. This is a lot different to the fares quoted by the taxi touts of around 400,00 dong. The price on the meter returning from the hotel the following morning was 28,000 dong. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with a free breakfast, a very tasty steak,egg,bacon and coffee/tea. It is not too far to walk to from the airport if you only have hand luggage but this is not recommended in this area. A notice giving this warning is posted with the hotel.

No taxi to airport”
Only stayed one night to be close to airport for departure next day., however, when we tried to get a cab to the airport from the hotel, no one would pick us up because we were so close! This resulted in 3 people, each with 2 cases, struggling on the pavement against a flow of mopeds, who believe the pavement is just an extension of the road. The receptionist asked the bell boys to help us, but they refused. All in all, not really the hotels fault, just the way it is in Ho Chi Minh.

Exellent staff”
I booked hotel at night and moved in at 12 AM and left the next morning. It is not much to talk about if I don't have a painful leg. It is so painful that I can barely walk in the morning. A staff name Tan approached me and went to buy for a pair of crutches right away. Defintely book again should I need to stay near to airport area again.

Walkable from the airport, clean, helpful”
This hotel is highly recommended to a) those on a budget, b) those who need to be near the airport, or c) those who are staying in Saigon for just one or two nights. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help me with some odd requests, even acting as interpreters for me when I had to meet a Vietnamese person for some personal business, for half an hour! The porters and security guards are friendly and helpful, if a little tired-seeming (which I guess is understandable given that they are open 24 hours). I would recommend springing for the more expensive rooms, although all are more than adequate. Complaints about street noise are exaggerated. You can get a great night's sleep here, no doubt about it. Views nothing to write home about although that is true for many hotel rooms in Saigon, even the considerably more expensive. No international TV channels, but a good chance to brush up on your Vietnamese! Food is the only real minus here. It's not terrible but it's certainly not worth eating dinner or lunch here by its current standards… eat at a pho place, there are many! I can recommend the small convenience store round the corner for water and other supplies. ATMs are also abundant, including one right next to the hotel. Porters and the front desk are happy to flag taxis for you, although be warned that taxi drivers are generally annoyed to go such a short distance either to or from the airport. Expect to pay 50000 VND for this 5-minute drive — the unscrupulous taxi drivers will demand it, the nice ones you should hand it over as a tip anyway! For the slightly more adventurous, you can attempt the 15-20 minute walk from the airport. Quite a fun way to get introduced to the city! Basically, if you're in Saigon for a short stopover, this place is great. 'Nice' hotels are relatively expensive in this city, so if you don't fancy dropping $100 USD a night for one of the nicer riverside places, it's perfect.

At this point due to using HCM as a bit of a stopover spot ive stayed in 3 different hotels at the same price point in a month in HCM and book hitel was by far the nicest. It is so close to the airport you should pay not a dong more than 30 000 in a taxi from the airport which is fantastic, the staff are lovely, the room is so clean and the bathroom is really lovely. The breakfast was really excellent and well organised. We stayed in the cheapest room they had so i can only imagine the pricier ones being incredible.

The best choice ever!”
My flight would depart early at 5:55 am the day after, so I chose to book Saigon's book which is the nearest and the most reasonable one. The room was very clean and confortable. The staff were very polite, they even prepared the breakfast for us because we had to check out too early to have breakfast at the restaurant. I must say it was the best choice ever.

Nice 2nd visit.”
Our second stay here. Closest to airport, with shopping and food choices in the immediate area. Definitely not a walking street. Number 152 bus stops outside (5000 dong), and will get you down town just as fast as the 125,000 dong taxi. WiFi spotty. It was a business trip so that made a difference. Hotel breakfast much improved over our last stay. Cleaning staff simply wonderful. Note to front desk: We booked for 4 days and stayed 5. We're fresh off a 26 hour series of plane rides. Don't give us a hard time about checking in 2 hours early. We don't want to hear it. You have your schedule, we have ours, and your customers are all most always from the airport, which has their schedules too. Having lived in Vietnam with my wife, and traveling the country for all most 3 years, I find it interesting that this is the only hotel that ever checked our marriage certificate.

it was a great hotel with excellent customer service. I booked the hotel by selecting a wrong date and after a failed contact with Agoda to change the date, I turned up at the hotel and explained the mistake. The staff immediately let us change the date and was very happy to assist. Very nice/big room and quite comfortable with everything.

Great place to stay”
Our stay was short, but it was perfect. Located just minutes from the airport and many local restaurants near by. The rooms were very spacious, could easily fit our family of 5. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had left my luggages at the hotel while traveling to another city, everyone thought I was crazy because I may 'lose' things. They were wrong! Everything was there, made me worry for nothing!!

Great value, great staff”
Our stay at the hotel was very nice. However I had my bagged grabbed from over my neck by a man on a bike round the corner from the hotel on our way to dinner.It was outside a karoke bar where none of the staff or security did anything to help. This may mean the area is one to be approached with caution. Luckily the staff at the hotel went out of there way to make the best of it. Even taking me to the police station twice. The very helpful lady from reception also went with us to translate my statement. The breakfast is a coffee and choice of traditional dish or bread and eggs.Only problem with the room was that the shower didn't get warm.Otherwise great value. Only 5 minutues walk to the airport.

Best Hotel for Airport Transit (overnight)”
Highly recommended for those in transit flight. Hotel Staff with English speaking and very friendly. They help me to bring luggage to my room, share tourist location, estimated taxi fare and even prepare breakfast (Sandwich) for my family at 6am to hand carry to airport. Normal breakfast time 6.30-9.30am. I arrived at 10am, they help to keep my luggage in a small room and send my luggage to hotel room when I check in at 3pm. The room is big and with basic things that we need like TV (with ~66 channels), hair dryer, tooth paste/brush, slipper, shower & hair shampoo and etc..

Good overnight stay hotel”
We needed a cheap hotel near the airport. It was about $aud2.00 by taxi. Bellboy polite & helpful. Checkin was quick & gave us a quiet room. Impressed with the twin double beds which were very comfy & fresh smelling. bedside lamp wasnt plugged in & was quiet the effort to do so with powerpoint behind 1of the heavy wood framed beds. Room was of a decent size. No room safe but you could leave valuables in reception safe. No robes but wasnt expecting that. Bathroom was a good size but we found next morning, water wouldnt get hot & the shower & floor drains were blocked & bathroom flooded while waiting for water to get hot (which it didn't). Maintenance was there quickly after we called reception, however, after opening up drains, he left & never returned,leaving us with a very wet bathroom & cold water. After a request to reception, we were allowed the use of a different rooms bathroom. Breaky was included in cost if room which was nice. No buffet, you order from a handwritten notepad which had eggs/bacon or eggs/ssge. Rest was dinner type food. We ordered eggs/bacon. Mine came smothered in white pepper & my daughter's undercooked with 2 ssg as bacon ran out. (I had 2 tiny bits). I just scraped off as much of the pepper as I could, cos it was great to have breaky included in the low price so not worth complaining. Checkout also easy, & our cases taken out front for us & a taxi hailed. All staff were very nice & very helpful. Pity about the bathroom but I think that was a once off-just bad luck. All up a nice little hotel if you need a quiet overnight stay.(we had windowless room which suited us for that night).

The hotel is perfectly located close to the airport The rooms are confortable and clean The breakfast and the staff great Some rooms have no windows and can be a disadvantage There is no hot water during the day Be advice if one of you in your couple is vietnamese and not married yet, this hotel will make you some trouble. Good stay near the airport”
We enjoyed our short stay there. The hotel is very near the airport (5 minutes), so ideal if you have an early flight or need a stopover. The price was very good and everything was exceptionally clean. The shower was a little leaky, but this was the only tiny issue we had. Would definitely stay there again - the restaurant was good for western tastes, and we ate well at a reasonable cost.

Good hotel for a stop over”
We had a very short stop over at this hotel due to our flight being changed. It was only 1km from the airport. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing to do with the hotel but we did have an unfortunate encounter with a taxi driver who stole money from us. Would stress strongly to make sure the taxi driver has credentials and the taxi is marked. The cost to this hotel should be about $5 AU so beware of being ripped off.
