It is ok. But not good. No service, No water bottle, bed sheets are not clean.”
If don't find any other hotel then it is ok. Otherwise don't recommend this. They don't provide even water bottles also, No room service. You can find ANTs on the walls in bedrooms and living room. Bathroom smelly. All are very OLD items. Only good thing is very near to beach.

Great To Be Back Again !!”
I return back to Sanctuary Resort Cherating as I had a Very Good Impression of this place and had a Very Relaxing Stay on my Last Visit and I needed it again very badly on the ending part of my travel in Malaysia. The Overall Hotel and Operations have improved a lot since, as evidenced by their many added business coming back.... and I am most impressed by their special Holiday Seasons decors and excellent Festive Foods provided during the period of celebration ! I appreciate them staying close to the culture of Malaysia, my Flying Color THUMBS UP !!

Great Outdoors, Fully Refreshing & Value for Money”
This is a All Suite Family Apartment Resort Hotel, with Large Bedroom Room with attaching Bathroom. The Apartment is clean and comfortable, I have a direct Beachfront Seaview with Private Island and Fishing River at doorsteps; great for outdoor activities and fun under the sun; staff are friendly and helpful. Dinner queue maybe little long but the food is great and worth the wait. Don't forget the Nasi Minyak gulai kawah infront of the apartment, Superb ! Will certainly be back to stay for my next holiday with friends.... Bravo !

SANCTUARY RESORT & APARTMENT HAS GREAT POTENTIAL ACTUALLY. IT IS JUST THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN WELL-MAINTAINED AND THEREFORE LOOK A BIT RUN DOWN. THERE IS A FISHERMEN'S PORT WHERE THEY BRING HOME THE CATCH EVERY AFTERNOON. IF YOU INTEND TO BUY AND COOK THE FISH, SQUIDS, CRABS, ETC. YOU WILL GET IT AT A BARGAIN. THE 2 ROOM APARTMENT HAS AIR-COND IN ALL THE ROOMS. A FRIDGE, A KETTLE, AN IRON ETC. MY STAY WAS QUITE COMFORTABLE. I HOPE THE MANAGEMENT WOULD UPGRADE THE HOTEL IN ORDER TO ENHANCE ITS IMAGE AND REPUTATION.

Clean Friendly Resort”
I read the reviews before booking and noted that there were several negative views from locals while foreign guests gave good ones. My personal experience was that the front desk, housekeeping and maintenance staff were all very friendly and helpful, the rooms are what is to be expected for the price you pay and remember that it is in front of the sea, so deterioration from the salty air is to be expected. Yes there were some minor breakdowns with the apartment facilities, but the maintenance came almost immediately and fixed what they could. We did not get to try the food facilities as they were catering to a government group meeting. The CEO/Owner was a very cheerful man who was obviously very busy running around getting things done, First time I have met a CEO in shorts and T shirt which was very refreshing versus the usual guy in coat and tie using his finger.

Great hotel to stay in although needs refurbishing”
My family and I (Total of 03 adults and 03 grown up children in their teens) found the resort excellent for our stay between the 05th - 07th of Nov 2010. The place was cozy, near the beach and other food outlets (breakfast buffet was not thrown in under the package)and hence the stay was quite comfortable. The friendly, quick and efficient service by reservation staff 'sha' is one major factor that made our stay a very pleasant one. I would definitely recommend the chalet for families and small groups as it is perfect, in terms of providing apartments with rooms and cooking facilites (although we never used the cooking facilities).

It was a long weekend & very hard to get good hotels room. I read reviewa about this resort and it had made me & family prepared mentally for the worst. The hotel staffs were friendly & welcoming despite the overwhealming checkins the were receiving. They even gave us oranges. As we open the door to our apartment there was this sense of relief. The rooms were clean, the walls newly painted & the bathrooms ney renovated! I thinking of coming back to Cherating but this time with friends & yes I would recommend Sanctuary Resort. Thumbs up. Keep up the good work.

Good location, Poor maintenance”
Stayed here in the 3 bedroom premier apartment. Total of 5 adults and 4 young kids. Good: 1. Resort is easy to find. The large signage goes as far as almost 10km before it. Even at night, you can still find the resort easily with the signages. 2. Location is good. Few kilometres before the turning into cherating beach area. Near the exit from the highway. Area has many places to find local food especially at night. 3. The resort is directly in front of the beach. Our apartment had full seaview. The access to the beach is easy and near, which is great. Resort had a pool too but we didnt try it because at the time there were 2 big groups staying there as well. We figure the pool must be filled with people. So we opted for the beach instead. Bad: 1. Poor maintenance. When we arrive, the floor were dusty. Few of the lights were not working. Had to shower in the dark. The aircond in the living hall is not cold at all. Giving only breeze of air. The aircond in he master bedroom room was worst. Not only it was not cold at all, they didnt provide any remote for us to make adjustment. Because there were no fan in the room, we had to just make do and sleep in a rather uncomfortable room. Other rooms seem quite alright with their air cond. 2. Security : our apartment was on the groud floor. On ine of the evening, few local teenagers from outside the resort came and hang out outside our balcony. We suspect they are using the free wifi. It doesnt feel safe leaving the apartment with them lingering around our balcony like that. The resort security should have make rounds and deter this. The resort was full at the time and theft can easily happen. Summary : the resort has potential. It offers 2 and 3 bedroom apartment which cater for big families on holiday who wants to stay together. But the need to upgrade the place and maintain them.
