Very good experience with the hotel. Sheets were clean, new towels were provided promptly, and the location was ideal. They provided shower necessities but not other items like lotion, toner, moisturizer. Breakfast was also filling.

I like this hotel. Although looks old but the room is considered big for a Japan hotel. Just that my son complained room is warm as they only have heater, no air con.

It sure is a standard Japanese business hotel. Close enough to the station, clean and generally quiet. Nothing special, but if all you need is a place to rest (and a decent buffet breakfast), it's a good, inexpensive place.

They have pornography on TV and show schedule in the room. You can imagine what type of people go there. Have stayed at other Smile hotels but this is the worst. Booked for several days but changed hotels after one night. Will not stat in Smile hotel anymore.

fantastic hotel”
I felt really great at this hotel. Maybe I'm just old school and the older style feels nostalgic to me but even though it is older, it is still super clean! The staff makes the rooms even when you dont request it unless you specially put do not disturb, and even then, will put new towels, bath robe, toothbrush, etc in a bag for you so you have a clean pair for the next night. Wifi was decent minus another guest abusing it a few times and slowed the speed, and contrary to other reviews, there were a handful of staff that spoke wonderful English. I read one review where someone said the JR station is 20 minutes away... WHAT!! It's literally a 5-7 minute walk, and im walking in the snow here. Do yourself a favor and exercise a bit more. Anyway, great hotel close to everything you need in Asahikawa. Check out time is a bit early 10 AM but cleaning staff start promptly at 10 AM so maybe it's needed for the cleanliness. Also, bus to Kamui ski, right in front of hotel!

Best choice for budget traveler”
I booked 3 days single room. The service of reception desk is really nice. Guest room is clean and warm. It only takes me 3~4 minutes walking to JR Asahikawa station. And that is really close to downtown. I would like to advise you to choose Smile Hotel Asahikawa no longer for business trip or travel to ski, Biei or Furano.

It takes you 4~5 minutes walking from Asahikawa station to this hotel. The service of this hotel is awesome. You can see the smile faces as the hotel's name. The room is very clean. There are many restaurants nearby. This might be the best choice for budget traveler to have a trip in Asahikawa.

This hotel is right on the shopping street of Heiwa Dori, 5 mins from the Asahikawa Train Station, and Aeon Mall, and just minutes from many eateries, restaurants, coupon restaurants, and izakayas. Very convenient! Free Wifi. No Password. Good Connection. Love that.

The location is close to JR Asahikawa station and a few shopping malls and restaurants. The staff were also nice and the rooms were clean. Although there was an incident were I think the cleaners forgot to lock my room and left their spare key in. But other than that, it was a good stay. I was quite surprised with how cheap it was considering the facilities. Will definitely book here again!

It’s a 5 minute walk to Asahikawa station, important bus stops for going around Asahikawa, near great ramen places, and shops. The location is just perfect. Will definitely stay again when I come back for winter.

Quite small room”
No complain just not recommended for those who need bigger space of room. The room very small compared to the other hotels I stayed during my vacation in Hokkaido. I think all Smile hotel are the same since I experienced the same small size of room at the smile hotel otaru.

Great room for couple in a small double bed room. Good space, private room, got heater, water heater, bidet, refrigerator and others good facilities. Near tu asahikawa station and aeon mall.

All Smiles in the heart of Asahikawa”
Brief but pleasant stay. They really put a smile on your face with little touches such as senbazuru (paper cranes) as a welcome gift in your room. The bedding and layout are also comfortable and more than adequate. The location is excellent, just a few minutes to the main shopping street, bus terminal and train station. All in all, a value for money accommodation that will leave you smiling.

They introduced parking car building near hotel 750 ¥/night. โรงแรมตกแต่งแบบเก่าๆ หน่อยคาดว่าเป็นเพราะเปิดมานานแล้ว แต่ถึงห้องจะดูเก่าแต่อุปกรณ์ก็ครบครัน ที่ตั้งสะดวกสบายมาก ใกล้ถนนช็อปปิ้งเฮวะโดริ แค่ข้ามถนนไป และใกล้ห้างอิออน พนักงานมีความเป็นมิตร ที่นี้ไม่มีที่จอดรถของโรงแรม แต่พนักงานจะแนะนำอาคารจอดรถที่อยู่ด้านข้างให้ เวลาใช้บริการให้แจ้งชื่อโรงแรม แล้วเอาบัตรมาให้พนักงานโรงแรมประทับตรา ค่าจอดคืนละ 750 เยน
