I was not satisfied!!!”
I just recently stay there. All the staff was friendly everything goes well until we notice our money was missing $1200 Canadian, we reported to the reception, they told us they’re going to check the cameras to see who came in the room, after they told us nobody did nobody does. To all the traveller if you want to stay at The Secret hotel, make sure you keep your money safe or bring her with you ,do not leave the money out in the open or unlock.

Very nice Hotel in a Ghost Town. ”
The hotel was excellent. I can only recommend it. When I booked it first i thought it's a scam because of the cheap price. But this literally is the best and cheapest 3-4* hotel i have ever been too. You can use the rooftop jacuzzi if you tell the staff in advance, because it needs to be prepared. Thank you for the nice stay!!!!

Stayed at thus beautiful hotel after our cruise on Ha Long Bay and it did not disappoint. I may be biased because we did stay here 1 night before our cruise but the hotel is amazing. Extremely comfortable bed, hot flowing showers and a heater. We came in winter so the heater was an added bonus. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful with any needs. They even remembered us from the stay before which was an added bonus. The included breakfast was fantastic omelettes made to order and great coffee. Staff always had a smile on their faces which made us feel welcome. Definitely would stay here again.

Hotel was very nice and clean. As we stayed there off season, we had no breakfast buffet offered. However, we could choose from different meals. Reception staff was very friendly. Construction work startet quiet early in the morning… very loud…

Wouldn't stay there again.”
The location is in an up and coming area, but right now, there is nothing there, so not an ideal location. Luckily we had a motorbike and were able to get around. The breakfast was catered to Vietnamese, nothing for westerners. The hotel is located across the field from a major nightclub and the room was not soundproof so we were up all night until the nightclub shut in the early hours of the morning, as the music was too loud to be able to sleep. The shower door didn't have a proper seal, so the whole room flooded with water every time you took a shower. Only only decent thing about this hotel was one of the workers, not sure what his name was, but he seemed to do a bit of everything (clean, cook, etc..), if it weren't for him, would have been bad. Oh, and the hotel did not accept all major credit cards, something they should tell people or advertise before they get there, if they expect people to be able to pay for their room.

We just wanted to visit Ha Long Bay and stay at a nearby Hotel and just booked this one because it had a nice looking whirlpool, but let me tell you, this is the best you get for this price! Very clean rooms, very friendly staff and good breakfast! Definetly would come back again!

The staff was super helpful and spoke excellent English. They arranged my tour of Ha Long Bay. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The room was big, comfortable, and clean. They sell beautiful purses. I would go back. It's a wonderful hotel.

Not for english speakers”
The best thing about the hotel are the rooms. They are spacious and clean. The breakfast doesn't have a lot of variety and things that should be refrigerated (milk, juice, yogurt...) are not because there's no infrastructure for it. The jacuzzi in the rooftop is a nice addition but it was very dirty (clumps of hair, black things floating...). We realized that after getting in since we couldn't see it with the bubbles on. Most of the staff doesn't speak English so whenever we needed anything they had to call the only receptionist that could help us (Duc). He was always really helpful and nice.

I would say, Eric (staff) is the best staff , I ever met. Super helpful! Even it is a little bit far from sun world but staffs are super helpful. He help me to corporate with local van pick up from airport , support me for the bus to Sapa. Order deliver food for me and more Food is delicious!

Not professional!!!”
I know this is kind of their culture, but they never know how to say "Sorry"! There's also no coffee for buffet in the morning, and when we asked why, they said "Because no one in here drinks coffee, we just drink tea" :) okay, so hotel is for local people only??? When we borrowed the iron and scissor, they said they have only 1 iron and 1 scissor in the kitchen, even the only iron was not available at that time, so they have to borrow from the next hotel :) The mindset of people in this land really bad in service! I feel so regret travelling here! The only good thing is just wonderful nature!

Trap for tourists”
Pictures on Agoda were nice. Hotel works well, clean, nice. I would like to say, cover was excellent but inside - empty. No genius loci. Rooms nice but no windows, if any - view to the the wall of next building... Developers dream, maybe, but ghost city. Empty streets. Every building the same. Very sad.

Good enough for family trip”
The hotel is located near by Bai Chay beach. It has good decoration. however, room is quite small and not clean enough (we saw an used cigarette on table). There was no buffet breakfast. In general, it fit with the price.

L'hôtel est quasi neuf avec un personnel sympa mais le quartier est en total construction à priori en attente des Chinois. Des centaines de futurs hôtels s'alignent comme des fantômes, ce qui donnent une atmosphère quelque peu lugubre... Si les Chinois reviennent cela donnera un quartier peut-être vivant mais sans intérêt pour moi...

Situé dans un nouveau développement encore vide, le prix en tient compte! Très moderne, propre et assez grande chambre. Le téléphone ne fonctionne pas, l’internet occasionnellement, et la douche n’évacue pas l’eau suffisamment.
