I was so impressed with this hostel. Though it is incredibly cheap, it is still very clean and comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. For my opinion, this place is best value for money in Japan. Thank you for the owner who is the Buddhist monk in Nara.

it's not that convenient to go for the kyoto station.i book a single room for myself,which with big wardrobe,a small tv ,big window(can't see any veiw) and bed stuff.it's in the second floor,and i get up early and get back late,have not met any issue in using the bathroom and toilet,no need to wait even a minute !not near any store though,you can use the fridge for food needs low temperature storage！

Pros : The only GH that has TV while my stay throughout Japan. The room is quite spacious for three people and you have cupboard to store your bag. As we are staying for one night the GH is totally worth it. Cons : You need to paid additional 200JPY for cleaning I guess. They didn't provide towel but you can rent it at GH.

about 10 mins from JR Kyoto Station's Platfom on walk, not bad considring price. Friendly Staffs. just one shower room in each floor. aisle is little dark in night. caution.

Very cheap and quite near to Kyoto station (15 minutes walk). Facilities were pretty complete. Sadly the laundry doesn't have dryer but the staff nicely showed me a coin laundry not too far away. Close to mini market and others. Very recommended.

It was nice staying in this hostel. Very near to kyoto station and staff is very nice also. If you're a light sleeper, better bring or rent headset as you will hear when someone is walking or talking.

Surprisingly Nice”
The place is relatively far from popular tourist spots but just 15-20mins to Kyoto Station, so that makes up for it. The look of the place from outside won’t tell you much but you’d feel the relaxing vibe almost immediately once you get inside. The staff are so nice, & the walls in their hallway are decorated with informative posters/pictures of Kyoto’s sights & festivals. The room is quite big for a couple so that’s a plus. ‘Will definitely go back.

This hotel is located near Kyoto station and easy to find. It's very convenient as starting point for your trip. Since it's near main station, the area around this hotel is well built, you can find what you need by just walking. The room is quite big, unfortunately the bed type is bunk bed, so if you travel with your beloved one, you may end up sleep by yourself :)

Pros: fairly close to kyoto station. Had the triple room, it was large and clean. Cons: You had to put and remove the bedsheets/duvet cover/pillowcases yourself. Throw rubbish yourself, etc basically do most of the stuff yourself makes you wonder why you pay so much.. also you can hear people walking in and out of their room

Within walking distance to JR, Kintetsu Kyoto station, bus terminal, Kyoto Aquarium and a park with cherry blossoms. 1 down side is that the hostel don't enforce guests to lock the main door so anyone can enter.

PROS: - The location is quite good as you don’t have to take the taxi or bus after the arrival at Kyoto main station. (10 mins walk only) - It’s a good deal if you just need a bed. - Shower pressure was great. - Washing session only 100JPY. - Internet is fast. - Extension cable in the room. - Main light in the room can be dimmed. - Bed sheets are white and clean. CONS: - Check in first at 16:00 (u can store the luggage). - Two committed staff but the third staff member we had contact with had quite an attitude after asking him to also mention the city tax in their agoda description in a humble way AND that it will be first added AFTER total payment amount though it said clearly incl. fees and taxes on the receipt. 200JPY/pax/night. - Carpets everywhere except the bathrooms. - Instruction overload: From how to put on/remove your bedsheets and where to place them before check out... - For smoking they send u 400m away. 😂 - Could use some interior love. - Partly sleazy.
