Friendly owners and very good value for money”

We really enjoyed our two nights at Treasure Isle. Nick and Alma were very great and helpful. Alma was a wonderful cook and we enjoyed all of the meals. They helped us with a boat tour of the islands and the food package was great for breakfast, lunch on the boat, and dinner that evening. We enjoyed telling stories with them and playing with their children. It's a simple accommodation but it was perfect for what we were looking for and for the cost of the room. I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing couple of days in Alaminos.

Best value for the price! I spent there 2 nights and if I wouldn't have another plans, I would stay there for longer... Nick and his wife were so nice to me..! She is really good cook. I had special requirements for meals and she did the best. The room was clean, beds comfortable and place silent. They can arrange any trip for you. I went to hundred islands tour and was really satisfied. If you are not looking for 5* resort, go for it.. I can just highly recommend. I spent two amazing days in Treasure Isle guesthouse and I would go back...! (Thank you for all!)

Treasure Isle is a lovely little guest house. Nice family running it and animals (kittens right now as well) all over the place. It's like living in the nature but with electricity. Nick (the owner) is extremely helpful with all tours and Alma is an amazing chef when you return hungry. They will also provide for the tours though. Great place.

    Great value for your money.

If you are on a tight budget, this is a good place to stay. It is not a fancy hotel that anyone would expect but a comfortable place to spend your night prior to your island tour. If you want to experience the country style living this is the right place to choose. Away from the noise and concrete jungle city life. Nick and Alma (the owners) are very hospitable & accommodating. Ernie (their 7yrs old son) at early age he is of great help to them, he makes sure to keep the area clean by picking the litter around and our used plates & utensils after our meal. While Noah (their youngest son) seems to be our little tour guide & entertainer during our stay. They make sure to take care of our needs from our food on board & at the island tour, to our boat rentals, environmental fees and transfer to & from the port & bus terminals. They are most willing to extend their help/assistance if you needed so and very tranparent and honest in all money matters that you are dealing with them. Staying there feels like home away from home...

    Fantastic accommodation choice”

Briliant value for money - such a lovely hospitable family. The food was great and varied, the accomodation - in a lovely garden setting- was cool, clean and comfortable and most importantly the owners looked after my each and every need- exceptionally well. They organised my 100 Islands tour - negotiated a very fair deal for the trip and provided lots of great tips, as well as transport and lunch - what more could one ask for? I highly recommend it - it was the highlight of my Philippines trip. There was such a warm friendly welcome and attention to a travelers' needs. Stay there if you can - you'll have a lovely homey, friendly and informative experience with Nick, Alma and their wonderful kids. Best place I stayed in the Philippines!

    Humble Acommodation, Grand Treatment”

Nick & Alma, made us forget about the imperfections of the place. Gracious hosts who are eager to please their guests.

It's not a fancy hotel. It's not even an inn. Your own house may even be better. But the place does not pretend to be something else. It's a camp ground, which interestingly uses mini kubo instead of just tents. It doesn't look much; in fact it feels like your staying at some secluded farmlot and had to sleep in the one of the adjacent huts because the main house was full. But I do not fret, as I know I got what I paid for. Good thing the hosts, Nick and Alma, more than compensates for what the property is lacking. They treat you like old friends and make you feel right at home. Alma cooks the best Bicol Express but I wish the serving was more generous as it was really delicious.

I booked here because it was really cheap - around Php300+ with promo, and the hut was already good for 3! The place was quiet at night, which I liked. It's just a tricycle ride away from the town proper and from the port going to Hundred Islands. Each room is equipped with an electric fan so it wasn't hot. There are also a couple of electrical outlets inside the hut so I had no problems charging my gadgets.

It is not a garden. It is just a backyard. ”

The place looks rundown. It might have looked nice in the olden days but right now it needs renovation. The mini cottage and floating cottage that I reserved were not ready when we arrived and the owner was convincing us to use a different type of accommodation because I think they overbooked that day and didn't know how to manage all the overbookings. Aside from that, he told us that he would have to move us again in another room the next day because somebody else would be using the dorm type room he was offering. The room he was offering us did not have an aircon (or it might have but didn't feel like it.) If your are claustrophobic, the mini cottage is not for you because it has a very low ceiling. Although the owner was friendly when he spoke to us, he was also holding a bottle of beer (which I think is not good especially when you are with children). He was also not attentive. After I finished filling out a form, I had to stand and wait for him and his wife to finish talking/arguing over where to put us. In the end, because we were so dismayed by the condition of the place and we wanted to avoid more stressful situations, my companions and I decided to just look for another place to stay. (We did not get a refund). I just feel that it is not fair that we booked from agoda to make a mini cottage and floating cottage be available to us but they were not ready. I even emailed them for an additional mini cottage because when I communicated with them before arrival, he said that we need an additional one for the number people I would be bringing. And yet all of these were not reserved/not available. LESSON LEARNED: Take into consideration the number of stars and the reviews of people before booking. I've read a lot of negative reviews about Treasure Isle Guest House but because we were after the value for money we still made bookings. In the end, we were not able to save money. We wasted money on this place.

    The perfect escape”

The hospitality, the food, the tours

We felt we struck gold. It was everything we love- rustic surroundings, amazing people and such value for money. We felt so welcome and like part of the family. We were truly sad to leave the family and animals behind this morning. Nothing was too much bother. You don't need to leave the site as there's so much variety on the menu and it's so delicious you want to try it all!! And booking tours has never been so hassle-free and kind to the budget... We never do them and we did 2! If it's not making you happy, maybe you should! We would recommend it to everyone!

    Accommodating & Worth the Money”

The staff is very accommodating and my youngest daughter even had fun playing with the owner's son... Good value for money if you only need some place to spend the night over... They also have a convenience store that we were able to drinks and chips... Next time we visit, will definitely stay there and try the other rooms :)

    Excellent place”

Food was very good. You just have to order ahead of time. If you're ordering breakfast then order it the night before and ask them when they should serve it. Proximity to town and port is ok. They can help you with transport if you don't have a car.
