Huge room with comfortable bed”
Tropicana Motor Inn was helpful enough to allow us to check in via the phone so that we could arrive after their reception was closed. The location of the hotel is good as it is just off the main street. The main attractiveness of the motel was the size of the queen room. It was huge for the price we paid. It was also very comfortable in the room. There was a heater bed and I remembered I had the most comfortable sleep of my holiday in this motel. Aircon / heater was working fine despite it being abit old. The bathroom, though big, lacked a heater and it was rather cold to bathe at night. Overall, this motel is highly recommended as compared to the rest of the few motels on Phillip Island.

Great location”
We stay at Tropicana motor inn for our time spent in Phillip Island. The room is clean and very spacious. we love the tropical feel and the nice swimming pool. It is 2 min drive to cowes and 10 min drive to Penguin Parade. I would stay in Tropicana motor inn again if I travel to Phillip Island in the furture.

The Tropicana Motor Inn is a super clean, budget Motel in the heart of Cowes and makes a good launching pad for all of Phillip islands attractions. The room service and cleaning outshine all of the upmarket Hotels & Motels we have stayed in. Our room seems to have been the subject of some quirky renovations in the past e.g. a towel rail continuing through a drilled hole in an improvised bathroom wall, but this just served to make our stay seem more homely. A microwave would be handy. But all things considered, the happy hosts and staff should be rightly proud of their Motel.

Great Location Clean and good service”
We enjoyed the friendly service and the room was very clean It was very relaxing to sit outside looking at the beautiful garden and read a book. When we usually go for holidays we take the pillows with us from home because the pillows smell but in the Tropicana Motor Inn we didn't need to use our pillows we used there pillows because the pillows there were very clean. Thank you for your Hospitality and wonder full service.

Quiet, Tranquil Surrounds”
We had a great time at the Tropicana Motor Inn. We drove down from Melbourne Airport in a Rental car so it was easy for us to access. The rooms were large, clean and spacious. The room we were in had parking right out the front and an operational spa. We had a peaceful stay here. The owners are very nice and accommodating to requests. Would stay here again!

Great Fantastic Stay”
First of all, we will like to thank the staff in Tropica Motor Inn on upgrading our room at no extra charge to a suite. It was very spacious with a living room and the stay was fantastic for my family. This suite is comfortable with nice beds enough to fit in 5 persons. The kitchen facility provided is good for simple meal preparation needed for my young kids. Overall, this is a very good motel well catered overall to the needs of travellers and it should be seriously considered for anyone planning a stay at Philip Island.

Fantastic great for drive-in travellers”
Our stay was fantastic, upon reaching the Inn, we collected our keys from friendly staff who would tell us the place of interest and eatery, the parking was great, we just park directly to our door step unit. The room we had was big and clean, we had 2 singles and a queen size beds for 3 adults 8 yrs old kid. The location is great you can walk to a small shopping town or eatery restaurant, and driving to penguin parade is a quickie, just 10 minutes drive. overall our stay was an enjoyable one and would come back to Tropicana Inn again.

Tropicana Motor Inn was conveniently located off the main centre of Cowes. It was easy to find and once there, enjoyable to stay at with spacious rooms, good bathroom and multiple sinks and mirrors.

We were therefor 3d2n, and we were offered a free upgrade to a cottage opposite this inn. The name was Philip Island Cottages and instead of just a queen room, we also had a kitchen area fully equipped with utensils and cooking ware. We are truly happy with our stay, and hoped that we have stayed longer. Thank you again to the management of this lovely accommodation.

Clean hotel ”
This hotel was adequate, clean and comfortable. We had a breakfast basket included in our stay however when the room was serviced the basket was taken away. We thought our basket would be replaced with a full basket as promised but no replacement and half of the firsts days supplies taken away. That was our only complaint and found it very odd! Other than that would highly recommend this hotel if in the Cowes area.

1 night stay to see the penguins ”
We only stayed 1 night at the Tropicana, I booked here because it was close to town. Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and did the check in super fast as I had explained we were running late to see the penguins! The room was clean & spacious enough for a family of 4!

on philip island, what i would say a cheap but great place to stay in! 20 mins drive to penguin parade , 25 mins drive to nobbies. 2 mins drive to the nearest woolworths (supermarket). really spacious room, clean, comfortable and nice. staff there are excellent in service! quite a popular place to stay. was there on a weekday and was almost full house! fully equipped room with flat screen tv, bedside lighting, large mirrors, day and night curtains, relatively large sized bar fridge and whatever else you will find in a typical hotel room free parking available just outside your unit. overall a wonderful stay!

Everything is great except for a power failure”
Pros: located next to the busiest street on phillip island. Smooth check in and check out. Clean and newly refurbished interior. Cons: Power failure at 10pm and again at 2am... probably it's my bad luck.

Small hotel but clean and helpful”
Located in a small island, all the tourist spots are easily accessible by car. The hotel staff is so helpful to send us promptly a microwave to heat up our simple meals at night. The hotel is not far from the information center also sells the entrance ticket to the Penguin Parade. As we reached Philip Islands in the afternoon and would not want to be disappointed if the tickets were sold out by the time we reach the place, it is most convenient for us to buy the ticket there. This is a tip-off from the hotel staff too.
