We stayed in the two bedroom villa which was brand new. It was very spacious with two bathrooms and a kitchen. There was an aircon in each room which was effective. The beds were in a very good condition. The staff was friendly and Gorya from the reception ia an angel. She arranged two trips and the taxi to the airport- perfect!

Vipa is okay for a night’s stay if you’re in-between Krabi and one of the islands…perhaps because post covid the tourist scene is only just reviving, Vipa doesn’t have it’s A game on as yet.

Lovely resort in a fantastic location”
We're big fans of Vipa Tropical Resort! We loved the location, right under a karst and toward the end of a quiet road. Breakfast was good and made to order. The room was clean and had a huge bathroom. We enjoyed swimming in the pool at night with the changing colored lights. The staff were very sweet and helpful and happily arranged excursions for us. The hotel was close enough to walk to other restaurants, shopping, and for a massage. But the hotel also provides shuttles to the beach. We hope to stay again in the future and highly recommend the Vipa Tropical Resort.

Super location to stay in Ao Nang Beach”
Very nice garden, several bungalow styles with a small pool near the cliffs of Ao Nang Beach. Very friendly staff and good service. You can use the free hotel taxi to get to Ao Nang Beach. I stayed there for more than one week and rent a scooter, organized by Vipa Tropical resort staff. A very good and nice place to stay in a bungalow at Ao Nang beach

The name says it: tropical and lovely”
My friends and I had a lovely visit at Vipa Tropical. The staff were so kind and helpful, and the reception staff spoke fluent English. We were very happy with the breakfast (you can get muesli, fruit, yogurt and toast etc. and delicious coffee). The location was also great because it's really quiet already 20 meters into turning from the main street into the hotel's street. You can hear the chants coming from the mosque faintly, so it sounds pretty. Too close to the mosque it would be very disturbing, as it's pretty loud. The hotel's not too far to walk from the centre when you feel like it, but if you're going back and forth much, the mini bus from the hotel is very convenient. I definitely recommend this hotel. I also recommend asking the staff when you need to book a taxi or a trip etc, as in general people in Krabi have weak English and it's pretty hard to communicate sometimes.

Quiet and Nice place”
We stayed here for two nights and wished we stayed for more. Vipa Tropical is away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang beach, which makes it a peaceful place to rest. It might be a hassle if you're taking a bus because it's a few minutes walk from the main road, but not a problem if you're renting a vehicle. The staff are very friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcomed. The accommodation was clean and well kept.

Great hotel, Great place”
A great hotel, I was not very lucky when i stayed at Vipa Tropical because there was the storm, with very difficult climate conditions. The fact remains that the hotel is in a very beautiful place, very quiet, and the hotel staff absolutely lovely. This is not the beach, but you can rent a scooter for 200 baht a day and there is only 5 minutes to get there and they have a nice pool too. It was not the best conditions, but they did everything to make my stay more enjoyable and helped me when I needed. There are two types of bungallows, the most upscale are really top I would definitely return next years Olivier

Good holiday place.”
We spent 6 nights at Vipa. Our unit was clean and well appointed, the setting is beautiful, the pool was clean and attractive and staff were friendly and helpful. The hourly free shuttle service to Ao-nang beach was useful. The breakfast was relatively basic but OK and restaurant prices were very reasonable. The only current drawback might be construction work just restarting on the property next door, which might possibly lead to some noise at times.

Quiet and privacy amidst Nature”
I stayed in the Standard Aircon Room with 54 sq m space. It was a really spacious chalet/bungalow. The bedroom itself is airconditioned and comes with a double bed and single bed (you have to pay extra if 3 people occupy the room). The living room has a sofa and a nice flat LCD TV (which we never used). Sofa could be better as it sags. There's a pantry area with a bar fridge and 2 sofa single seater chairs. The bathroom was just next to it. Nothing fancy but a lot of space and privacy. All the rooms here are really chalets/bungalows so guest can have quiet and privacy compared to rows of rooms in corridors for big hotels. Best thing is the hillside location and the gardening they do. Makes the place really "naturey". The hill/cliff blocks out the morning sun so the entire place is shady for most part of the day. And the view of stars at night from the hotel is priceless! All because the area is dark at night (compared to the hotels in well-lit areas) The only con is that the hotel is not near to the beach. It takes 5 minutes to walk to/from the main road and another 15 min leisurely walk from main road to Ao Nang beach. Good thing is that the hotel offers free transport to the beach every hour from 9am. However, the distance from the beach makes the place nice and quiet. It can be noisy to live at hotels on the main road. The wide variety available at breakfast was good, from pancakes to American breakfast and pancakes. Breakfast is served only after it's ordered and comes fresh and hot. Better than having a standard buffet breakfast in a way. I loved the muesli with yogurt/milk and fruits! The only thing is that you might have to wait awhile for food to be served if there are a lot of people eating at the same time. Something the hotel can look at improving. Perhaps getting the guests to indicate their choice of breakfast and time to serve the night before.

Comfortable, clean, convenient, affordable.”
We booked a standard room with air conditioning. It was clean and comfortable, though we had to deal with a few critters in the bathroom. The AC is only in the bedroom, but there's a fan in the living room area. The staff are very nice and friendly, and will help you if they can. We paid for breakfast with the room price, and it was worth it -- not necessarily gourmet, but fresh and quite good. There is a beach shuttle every hour -- sometimes you have to ask them if no one else is there. But they are always ready to take you there. The location is not right in the area with the shops -- maybe a 20 minute walk -- but it's nice because it's quiet. It's right up against the cliffs, so it's got an incredible view. There's a smaller night market on the street where it's located, with more local food and local clothing. It's great if you're looking for a good local meal for much cheaper than the touristy areas near the beach. Overall, we were very satisfied with the Vipa and would go back if we were there!

Great place to stay, very recommended”
We stayed here over Christmas and were very happy with our choice. The bungalow is very basic but very good, the garden is lovely, the pool area is well kept, the restaurant serves great food (at reasonable prices) and the staff is absolutely charming and extremely helpful. Since the hotel is located outside of Ao Nang town, a free hourly shuttle service is available for guests. We can really recommend a stay in this resort! Wifi is available, but only in the reception and restaurant areas.

Nice resort with beautiful garden”
This resort has a real tropical garden that thrills. Carefully groomed, various tropical plants that gives pleasant scents. Really nice location, next to the cliff, very quite and relaxing place. Pool is nice, clean, enough big, not crowded. Standard room is very nice, good size with balcony. Only objection is the bathroom which is old and very small, our sink faucet didn't work properly. Room has an air-con and small fridge, so you can keep your water/beverages cold. 15 min nice walk to the beach, but usually takes longer since the street is full of nice places with food, bars, shops and massage spots. Resort provides free shuttle tuk tuk to the beach every hour, and also can pick up you back to the resort. Staff are very polite and hospitable, they can book tickets for day trips and organize transport to the other locations in Thailand. Breakfast is tasteful with fruits. I would stay here again.

best value for money”
i love the location because it's quiet and just next to a limestone hill. Ao Nang beach is just about 15min walk away. For those who are lazy to walk, the hotel provides transfer to the beach, at least once every hour. Sometimes more. If you are a big group, they'd oblige if you request. Their breakfast selection is one of the best for the budget. Since it's not pre-prepared nor the buffet type, you'd typically have to wait 10 minutes for it to be prepared. Their service provided was impeccable. And their small swimming pool lovely. It even has poolside blue lights for those who would love to indulge in a night dip. their free WIFI coverage was excellent even in the rooms. One thing to note, it's Peak season during December and January. Low season is in June where room prices are substantially lower.

Pleasant relaxed atmosphere”
This is a very pleasant place to stay under the overhanging cliffs amongst the tropical gardens - an excellent setting. The bungalows are clean and well equipped with decent WiFi/TV/Aircon/etc./ good shower and are secluded. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. The pool is more of a large plunge pool. It's a bit of a walk (20/25 minutes) to Ao Nang beach, which, although a pretty beach side and views, isn't much of a beach. There is a shuttle until 8pm, a bit too early finish. However, there are some restaurants and bars at the bottom of the road - 10 minutes and they are cheaper! If you stay out beyond 10pm, take your room keys with you as the staff finish at 10pm, normally. Car hire is good idea as this is a very pretty area to explore.

I was very happy with my stay at the Vipa Tropical Resort. The staff was so helpful in making me feel welcome and was glad to help with any travel or tour I needed arranging. The food was decent and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

excellent service. they made our stay fabulous. breakfast options available were very good. love the nice quiet environment set by the hill amongst lush greenery. Ao Nang Beach is just about 10-15min walk away. And hotel provides a ride to the beach every hour and on request if group is big. Great value for money especially during the low season in May and June. Do note that Peak season for Krabi hotels is in Dec and Jan.
