Beach and hotel”
The calm beach is good. A walk day or night by the beach was great. This hotel is dated. The AC is not as cold but good. Breakfast buffet was so good. One morning the staff prepped a breakfast to go (it was more like lunch food), no coffee. Otherwise the place was awsome.

Staffs are friendly and very accommodating. Doing an extra mile for the guest, we do have a request for our child and the inroom dining & chef accomodate our request. KUDOS to the chef & inroom dining team. Tho, just a comment to have an extra iron at the property, as we have requested 3times but till we check out no iron available. Thank you

Good hotel with facilities for training ”
Was in this hotel for training, rooms are a bit far from the lobby, but there are porters helping you to your room. Rooms are older, but still cozy and acceptable. No ipis, rooms are clean.

Comfortable stay with mom ”
I had a comfortable stay with mom in this hotel. Staff were very friendly. It’s a perfect place to go away from city life. Food within the vicinity is a little pricey; might consider booking free breakfast next time or order via delivery. Will go back here next time. although aircon is centralized it’s very quiet, it’s just perfect for light sleepers like me.

More than a hotel, it's a resort. It's a stone's throw away from the bustle of the city but the surroundings will make you forget that. Our room,- albeit old and a bit worn - was very clean and very comfortable and their staff was very accommodating. You get value for your money :)

They upgraded our room from Standard to Deluxe room which is amazing! One thing I wasn’t able to enjoy is their swimming pool because I can’t swim and the deep is 5 feet. But overall, we really enjoyed the view, it’s so relaxing having a picnic and taking pictures…

they enjoyed their stay for 2 nights. it was their first time to come to davao city and theor 50 years dream to be able to stay at the waterfront (davao insular hotel)for the first time too. special mention to Mr. Elorde the security guard in the lobby. as QR code was a requirement for entry, and we as seniors , he helped us log in and organise our QR codes. all staff we encountered were courteous and lively.

Great for staycations”
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at waterfront. The place is huge and you won’t feel cramped unlike most modern hotels. The facilities and rooms may be a bit dated and could use a bit of upgrade but they do not lack in cleanliness. We love eating at restaurant UNO. We enjoy their buffet dinner and breakfast. Although not so big they do offer a really great selection of food with very good quality. My favourite is always the desserts station.

Sure there are newer places (if multistory hotel rooms are your thing). But the grounds and relaxation at Waterfront Insular are beautiful. Just being around all the coconut trees and immaculate landscaping when walking around the pools, beach and ocean are wonderful. The morning breakfast is essential to purchase ahead of time, so good and plentiful. Its great to be outside under the canopy there and just soaking in the tropical vibe. You can have drinks by the pool, wish they had live music though as it would be perfect for that sort of ambiance. The rooms are a bit dated, but so what is my opinion. Its part of the old school charm of this place. ALL the staff are so friendly, from the daily housekeeping to the servers and cooks at the restaurants. If you want to just take a walk for some fast food nearby is Jollibee, McDonalds and Chow King right outside the gated Waterfront complex entrance. Also a Choice Mart convenience store is there for beers and sodas and snacks nearby for chilling in your room. Vacationing is what you make it, this place can be a great time if you are fun and not super picky. Keep up the good work.

Nice Hotel”
Room was clean and had needed amenities. Room needs some upgrading, but I would return in current condition. This was a very quiet place to sleep at night. The staff goes above and beyond. It has a beautiful view of sunrise/sunset with bay in the background. We had a wonderful stay.

Still My #1 Choice!”
Going in, we knew the property has seen better days. This hotel was THE place to be during its prime. However, despite signs of aging and less than optimal maintenance in the rooms, this is still the Grand Dame of Davao City. Customer Service is outstanding, the grounds are truly fantastic and its location is tops.
