Nice place to rest before heading to Bali”
Since we prefer took ferry to Bali in the morning, we choose to stay 1 night in this hotel, really nice ambience next to beach just to relax for a while before continuing Jakarta Bali road trip, one thing that could be improve is the lighting, especially in the bathroom, we think it's too dark at night, but the rest was perfect

Great view from our room over the sea to Bali, would of stayed longer but it meant moving rooms and we didn't want to pay the same price for a room without that wonderful view.

Convenient and pleasant hotel”
Spent a couple of nights here. The roms offer a great view on the Java/Bali straits and are very nice. I also like the food at the reastaurant. Not expensive, and clean.

Short stay, but nice”
The hotel was nice. It has a view to the the sea. The pool looks also nice, too, even though we don't have much time to try to swim in the pool. The cleanliness, aircon, bathroom, and staff was okay. The location is near to the harbor and station, but it was quite far from the city, so when we try to order food (from online transportation app) we just couldn't because many resto were closed, and if it's open, the resto's location is quite far from the hotel. Sadly we have to early check out from this hotel because of our schedule, but we'll be glad to be back to explore more about this hotel.

Quite far away from Banyuwangi. I stayed 1 night because it was very close to gathering point for snorkelling tour to West Bali. Hotel is quite old but room was clean & spacious. Much plaster on bathroom ceiling had fallen off ; a lot of water dripping from ceiling in the first hour, staff had to wipe vanity counter & floor. Hotel is by the sea with good views (no beach, cannot swim) , has nice swimming pool. Good restaurant. Receptionist’s English not good and made me almost miss my 9:15 am train to Surabaya.

Seaside cottage with swimming pool”
The hotel and the rooms are clean. With Wifi, TV , refrigerator, bathroom with hot shower. The staffs are friendly.. The swimming pool has 3 level of depth but the deep one is too deep (2 m) that I think too deep and can be dangerous. The breakfast is alacarte but it is too simple for ex.rice with soto. It should be improved

The only plus point is Location very good & food and the resto is nice! Minus : bad wifi signal, bad Gsm signal, room looks old, towel looks old, clean but old, Staff service VERY BAD. Not worthed with the price I pay.

Location close to ketapang port”
Old hotel, big room, std facility. The room is not too clean, lots of ants in the room. We stay here just for transit before go to bali via ketapang ferry port.

Wata lovely watu”
We recently stayed 2 day at watu dodol and it was wonderful. Quite isolated but met our needs at the time and transport was available. We were driven to our train and the staff were terrific. Always smiling and helpful. Great, clean, comfortable room overlooking the pool and ocean. The atmosphere was friendly and not sterile. Restuarant has everything especially happy staff Loved it.

Hidden Heaven”
Pros: Love everything about this hotel. The rooms are divided into cottages, with the inside layouted like a usual hotel room. Big wardrobe, cable TV, AC, water heater, big semi-open bathroom, complete toiletries and sandal. The swimming pool is open 24 hours, and the beautiful lamps surrounding it makes it ideal for a night swim before bed. BIG CONS: The view is really great, you can see both sunrise and sunset as the hotel is facing the Bali strait and you can actually see Bali Island from your room. We eventually stayed one more night in Banyuwangi just to enjoy relaxing at this hotel. Cons: The only thing I found uncomfortable is the fact that there is a door connecting our room with the next room (as one cottage building is divided into two rooms). This way, sounds of people talking can be heard.

A very nice stay, great view”
We have a very nice 2 night stay. The view of the hotel is the best. The room is clean and comfortable. It is located at watudodol beach, very easy if you want to go to menjangan island. But from centre city of banyuwangi it's about 30min by car. I would definitely come back to this hotel though. It is highly recommended. A great value for money.

We chose Watu Dodol because of the reviews available here and the discount they offered. For 1 bedroom villa (plus 1 extra bed) the place is quite spacious. Relatively clean although the bathroom can use more clean ups. However, awaking to sunrise, beats all odds.

Good launchpad to Ijen ”
Watu Dodol has decent rooms set around a pool by the sea about 4 km north of the Ketapanf Ferry Terminal. A word of information - all rooms are called "Sea View Room" whether they have a sea view or not, so ensure you are booking one that actually does. Some face away from the sea. I think the difference is Sea View 1 has a view of the sea and Sea View 2 doesn't! The food is pretty poor, but the breakfast was ok.

Very good sea view, cheap price”
It was a big surprise for me. The room rate was just more than 30$ but the garden and the sea view is stunning. The staff is friendly also and the food is extremely delicious. I already recommended my friends to stay there. What a nice hotel to relax. From the pool you can even see Bali.

We stayed in one of the rooms with sea view. The terrace was beautiful, as was the pool with a nice view towards Bali. The rooms were spatios with nice outdoor bathrooms, everything very clean and tidy. The only drawback of this nice hotel is that it is not close to any restaurants so one has to eat there. The food is not extraordinary good but o.k.
