A Good Stay! =)”
A good and affordable homestay which is nearby to the beach and Siti Nurbaya bridge. The room was comfortable and clean. Cell phone shop just beside the homestay, you can buy the SIM card once you reach here as there is no cell phone shop at the airport. Plenty of restaurant around, just a walking distance. There is no 24 hour mart/convenient store along the road, maybe you should bring along some snack before the nearby shops close. Maybe the homestay management can provide a couple of free drinking water in a room or a water dispenser outside the room where the guest can easily to reach. The shower water pressure was too slow and need to be improve.

Amazing staff and amazing new rooms! ”
Pros: brand new rooms (across the road # 10 & above), plastic still on metal! Very clean, free water, tea & coffee, comfy bed, English channels on flat screen TV, amazing staff, spoke good English, he booked our flights for us online using his card as ours was blocked and he charged exactly the online price, he also booked us a car to the airport and again it was the exact price on the app and it was cheaper than we could get on Uber or Grab! Near to cheap food, ATM and the beach around the corner! Cons: cold shower, small blankets, smoking outside the rooms

the room is clean - was opposite the main building of Yani's Homestay - but very stark - just to pass the night - very simple small room with double bed. No atmosphere, nothing. Ok for one night before catching the fast ferry to the Mentawai Islands as it is not so far from the harbour, but nothing for a longer stay.

This place is close to beach(not swimming beach, to dirty and I swim almost anywhere. But great for sunset and relaxing) awesome restaurant a couple places to the right. Can buy SIM cards and credit out front of hotel. Good room, I had shared bathroom which was fine. Fridge to use upstairs as well as water machine.. I hired a scooter here for 5 days and rode it to Pantai Carolina and lake maninjau which was great-60k idr a day and just leave passport which I 100% trusted them with. Would definitely stay again!!

Near the beach (not for swimming), restaurants (rumah makan) & shops. Room is clean and spacious. With air-conditioner, fan, table, chairs & cupboard. Good enough for 2 persons. They have 2 shared bathrooms (always clean). They also provide scooter rental for guests.

There's not much to the place, but for $12 a night who could expect more. But the room was clean, the water ran, the bed was comforatable and the street it was on is full of shops and places to eat. I thought the place next door has a nice breakfast.

I went into Padang for the night and stayed at Yanis. I heard I was great from a friend with a great restaurant just down stairs and great massage just across the road. Unfortunately a very loud group of people watching the soccer World Cup were staying next door, it was a Friday night and the street and traffic didn’t stop till 2am then the mosque started their chants about 4am not far away. Besides those unfortunate noises the staff were friendly, it was clean and I thought the price was reasonable.

Très bon Homestay”
Nous avons été très satisfaits de nos 3 passages dans cet établissement. Le personnel est très sympa, serviable, ils ont gardé nos bagages pendant notre trip chez les Mentawais et nous avons dû les lever tôt le matin du départ, désolés. La chambre était très propre, très lumineuse et assez spacieuse. Il y a plein de restaurants sympas tout autour. La laundry est vraiment au top du top, bravo !

Accueil chaleureux et sympathique, La chambre était très propre, confortable avec climatisation mais odeur de parfum trop forte ! Par contre le coin cuisine / canapé est vraiment très sale , le sol est n'est pas du tout propre et il faut marcher pieds nus ! De plus certaines personnes fument à l'intérieur ce n'est pas très confortable...La salle de bain n'a pas été nettoyée pendant les 2 jours . Bref , dommage car ça pourrait être vraiment bien !
