Quiet, simple, elegant. ”
A great little oaisis - lovely big rooms, beautiful gardens, perfect swimming pool, decent food, terrific staff who will help you organise everything from a daily tuk tuk driver to further transport to a band aid. Away from the chaos of Siem Reap, but close enough to dip in & out & 25mins in a tuk tuk to the temple complex.
We enjoyed very much our stay at Angkor rural boutique.
Downtown Siem Reap is noisy, grimy, and full of impersonal huge Chinese-owned hotels. I was looking for an authentic Cambodian experience and thank goodness I found it! From the minute we walked in and were greeted by fresh-faced, smiling ladies holding cold passion fruit drinks, I knew we had picked the right hotel. It is 20 minutes away from the grind of the city, but very convenient to Angkor Wat. They gave us a complimentary ride in a local farmer's ox cart, arranged massages and a Tub-Tuk driver for us for us, and prepared us delicious meals using fresh organic veggies straight from their garden. The beds were comfy. The AC was cold. Bathrooms clean as a whistle and fresh flowers in the room. The pool was refreshing after long days of climbing on the ruins. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly to those looking for a relaxing Cambodian experience! - Whitney Justice Colorado USA
All is perfecto.. Tranquil”
As per topic, everything's is perfecto. I did put 5* for location due to my personal motivation. My mistake is I put this resort at the last day where else it should be on 1st day. Rejuvenate with nature & having a good session of breathing before losing your breath during Temple Session STARTING WITH BAKONG (ROULUS GROUP). YES my preference is Roulus Group as stater & this resort is only 15min by remork to Bakong. Until Next time, I shall lodge here for STARTER.
Dear Guest , Thank you so much for your review . We look forward to welcoming you again . Warm regards , Team ARBR
Rooms were very large, and the place was charming ( not stunning). found the staff super friendly and accommodating. Rooms could do with upgrading . We got our bags folded due to heavy rain and lots of wild life made it!s way into the room . Food was very nice and they tried to accommodate the kids with alternative dishes.Love their connection with the local charities and village
Dear Cecile, Thank you for your review . We try our best to promote our local culture and community . We appreciate your acknowledgement . Warm regards , ARBR
$600 stolen from room, secure your belongings.”
I write this with some trepidation as I understand how poor reviews can affect a business, but I feel I have to share to prevent a similar experience for guests. Basically, myself and my partner checked in after being picked up at the airport by the hotel. I class myself as a seasoned traveller, especially in Asia and always use a safe to keep my money. In this instance, the safe wasn't really fit for purpose as I was able to pick it up and remove with ease. I decided to keep all my US dollars on my person (around $800) which wasn't ideal and thought my partner was doing the same. I had some currency from the country I live (42 Bahrain Dinar - I'm from the UK but ut live in Bahrain) which I put with my underwear in a separate pocket in my backpack. We finished our fantastic tour of Siem Reap and moved on to Battembang for the next leg of our Cambodia trip. On arriving at our new hotel, I unpacked and noticed I was missing 40 Bahrain Dinar (around $100) from my bag but 2 Dinar still remained. I thoroughly searched and started to get a little concerned. I told my partner of this and she started panicking. Instead of holding onto her $800 she had put $500 into her make-up pouch which was in her bag, of which I was unaware. She checked this straight away and it was gone. The bags had not left our sight from leaving Angkor Rural so straight away we know where the cash had been lost. We contacted the hotel and they were obviously quite surprised (the communication was good). They informed us they would carry out an investigation amongst their staff. A few days later they told us they could not find a culprit, but as a gesture would offer us a few days stay in the hotel. This obviously wasn't really viable and I was extremley disappointed some form of financial compensation wasn't offered. I understand we were rather nieve with the storage of the money so wasn't expecting the full amount of $600 to be reimbursed, but a gesture would have surficed seen as the money
Dear Andrew, Thank you for your review . Such an incident has never been reported at our resort since its inception , our reviews speak for itself . We received no complain during your entire stay with us & even during your checkout no theft was reported . Also you did not use the safety box provided in the room & neither was your luggage broken into .The safety and security of our guests are of uttermost importance to us and we thrive to ensure that our guests are well looked after & enjoy a memorable stay . Regards ARBR
Cute and peaceful small resort”
Great little resort. Very quiet with view on rice field. Very friendly and helpful staff. Just a 15mn drive from Siem Reap. Perfect to avoid the noise and mess ;)
Excellent and Unique!!”
If you are planning a trip to Siem Reap, please consider staying at the Angkor Rural Boutique Resort rather than one of the many costly, "traditional" tourist hotels. The resort was on the outskirts of the city in the rice fields. The grounds were very beautiful and it was very quiet (outside of the hustle and bustle of the city). They booked us a car to take us to the temples at the Angkor Was Complex and a tuk tuk for trips into the city. They also provided a car to pick us up and returned us to the airport. The employees were wonderful and extremely helpful. They helped make sure that we had a wonderful trip to Siem Reap. It was all fantastic. Highly recommended.
Dear Coleen, On behalf of the Angkor Rural Resort team I would like to thank you for your review . It gives us immense satisfaction when we are able to make our guests comfortable and meet all their expectations . We are a small boutique property and thrive very hard to promote sustainable leco tourism and appreciate your support in spreading awareness about saving our environment . Hope to see you again . Warm Regards Team ARBR
Again and again........really great!!!!!”
In february 2017 I came together with 2 friends and my oldest daughter to angkor rural boutique resort. It was so great that I decided to take all my family ( and friends; all in all 10 persons) for christmas holidays there again. Sokun, the owner, did a wonderful christmas eve dinner for all of us. Everything was perfect!!!!! If I would visit angkor for a 3rd time in.my life I would just stay in angkor rural boutique resort!!!! A little bit outside from noisy siem reap, but they arrange everything for you!! ( transfer, driver, guide.....) . Very good food at the resort, no need to eat outside. We really enjoyed our 4 nights stay! Thank you very much for our wonderful days, Sokun!
Amazing eco resort”
We stayed here for 4 days at family luxury room. It was amazing. Resort is beautiful with garden and rice field around. Room is well decorated and huge. Staffs are so helpful, always smile. Food are yummy. They serve you water unlimited for free of charge. There are packages for honeymoon, birthday, wedding here as well. For celebrating our 15 years wedding anniversary, they decorated for us a special table with flowers under stars. So romentic. Pick up and send to airport are free of charge. Also 1 time per day tuktuk will bring you to town. Don’t forget asking for ox-cart to bring you to village to see local life. It is free, too. This eco resort is helping villager from their profit. Such thoughtful. I highly recommend Angkor Rural resort for your stay in Angkor

Hotel service are great. ”
Only thing need to improve is the room is dark, no enough light. Other things are great, such as environment and hotel service. Will come back to here in future.
4 nights in paradise”
Really great here! We stayed for 4 nights and didn´t want to leave! Everything was perfect, Sokun (Manager) organized private driver and guide for us. We want to come here again!! If you like to stay in a quiet and so beautifulplace instead of mass tourism (in Siem Reap), I highly recommend Angkor Rural Boutique Resort !!
Tranquil and beautiful!”
We had the best time in this great boutique resort - friendly staff for whom nothing is a problem - really beautiful surroundings - fantastic tasty food - internet, cable, aircon - everything tasteful and classy - can't recommend enough - away from town and the airport so not for those wanting to shop or party - lovely and restful!
Fantastic example of Cambodian hospitality”
Our stay at the Angkor Rural Boutique Resort was a delight from start to finish. The resort was beautiful and the rooms fantastic. We were made to feel part of the family by our hosts who went above and beyond to ensure our trip to Siem Reap was a memorable one. Highly Recommended!!
Amazing sanctuary for total relaxation and wonderful hospitality”
My husband and I stayed here for one night for his birthday. From the very get go, Ang and her staff were very personable, warm and friendly. No detail was left out from the airport pick up, welcome drink, complimentary Ox cart tour around the village, just to mention a few. We had all our meals at the hotel, the food was simply delicious home cooked The staff even woke up early to pre-pack us breakfast to take with us when we went to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. The team went out of their way to set up dinner for us in the field, including candles and our own personal DJ. Overall a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again when we return to Siem Reap. A must stay, you won’t regret it!
Nice place to stay . Cycle around --lots of unexpected fun. Will come back.
A true gem”
We came from Bangkok and really appreciated being away from the crazy, noisy city. The place is really beautiful and the staff super nice. We spent four nights there. The tuktuk to town was free so we went to the old market for dinner most nights. The tuktuk driver was always available to us; he took us for the sunset and sunrise to Angkor Wat and drove us around to all the temples for a decent extra charge. Siem Reap is not pretty so it doesn't make sense to stay in town. The Old Market area is quite charming though apart from the Pub Street.
Friendly, Convenient and Unique”
We stayed Angkor Rural Boutique Resort for our base camp to tour the temples. Out room had a king bed, a single and a baby cot. The room was clean, and decorated in the spirit of Cambodia. All food is prepared fresh! We have an infant and a 3 year old- they loved the pool, and the staff was more than happy to prepare food to suit their diets. All booking for the temple tours was done through the Angkor Rural Boutique Resort- they book through a 5 star service. Very professional and inexpensive. They let us take the boys back in the afternoon for a nap- and then picked us back up for a late day tour. Great place. I would recommend to anyone.
