"The hotel is located a few blocks from Bo-Kaap, near a hop on/off bus stop going to Table mountain and the other direction takes you to the waterfront. The staff and facilities were absolutely wonderful. The biggest surprise (we booked the suite) was the 3-level loft with full kitchen/ living room/ dining (level 1), the master bedroom (level 2) with larger closet area & master bathroom and then an absolutely beautiful balcony view. The loft (level 3) was a complete working office and sitting room with big leather chairs - awesome. Lastly the restaurant server most likely the best steaks in Cape Town - a must try for meat lovers..."

"We stayed here for 4 nights in December 2018. We were with my in-laws and all of us were very satisfied. My in laws arrived a few days earlier than we did, and they felt that the hotel staff were very helpful in getting them situated in CapeTown. I will say though, that the hotel did not respond to my emails about booking a car to pick us up from the airport, but once we phoned them it was sorted out very quickly. The location is very good, only 10 minutes to the heart of the Waterfront. They have a big parking lot, which was convenient as we had a rental for most of our stay. I didn't eat any of the food because there are so many great restaurants near by! Our room was a good size, modern, and clean. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Cape Town!"

"Great place to stay in Cape Town. Walking distance from all everything in the Waterfront. Rooms were comfortable, view is sublime, shower lovely. We were happy with everything except the rooftop pool. the rooftop is open to the public - and even though we were paying guests we could never get a table or lounger - day or night it was always full of no resident guests. A tad disappointing as we had plan to rest and swim in the afternoons."

"The hotel is amazing and located in a central location, however, it was very noisy and loud at night. The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. I was just unlucky as there was load shading in Cape town so there was several electricity cut throughout the day and the hotel generator just operates certain things. Breakfast menu is alright, nothing special about it. Its value for money and the rooms are spacious with the great table mountain and city view. Ill definitely consider staying there when i go back to Cape Town and I would recommend it to all my family and friends. "

"From the airport, the best way to go is by taxi as it is nearly the same price as shared transport to this location. It is from 240 to 260 Rand. You can get it prebooked online via bookings @ sport24hrs.co.za which is the service I used back to the airport. I used the service at the arrivals hall counter on the way in, but I think just to the taxi stand might be the same. Pre-book is best but ask for the big red car if you have lots of baggage. Now to the Kimbo. check-in was easy even at the late night arrival I had. There was a welcome drink in the bar area. This was not punch but rather a drink with a punch if you know what I mean (wink). Speaking of the bar, the locals and visitors like to mingle and relax together and drink into the early morning. The room was fine (I got the 3-bed dorm) and he wifi also worked well. This location is central to get where you need to be. What I really likes was the breakfast and the dinner. the dinner is not free, but well worth the price. The portions are large and tasty. I had the bangers and mash several times. There is no elevator so if you are mobility challenged or just hate stairs, you might want to skip this place. For everyone else, this is a perfect place to hang your hat for several days while checking out Capetown."

"Crash pad was perfect for a solo traveller with lots of plans in Cape Town! AMAZING value for money! A bed, full bathroom, and a but of space for a suitcase. Not super tiny (as they imply on their site) but just perfect for someone who literally just needs somewhere to sleep! Tons of common space throughout hotel as well. Whole place is super funky - amazing tile work and great murals throughout. All staff - from housekeeping to safe to reception and concierge - was amazingly accommodating and helpful! Free 1 hr bike rental with stay - take a ride along the beach! "

"Staff most welcoming and very helpful in planning your stay in Cape Town. A steep flight of stairs from the front door to the second floor reception. But the staff was very helpful in bringing luggage to your room. Included breakfast was from the menu and a good selection of items, although service was a little slow and cooked food could have been a little warmer. Would recommend hotel to fellow travellers but book early as the do not have many rooms."

"We booked Lagoon Beach for our first few nights in Cape Town on our South Africa holiday. The location is definately away from the action but if you are looking for a quiet spot to stroll on the beach and drink in the sunsets and the views of Cape Town and Table mountain this is the place. The 2 bedroon self catering suite was very nice and gave us lots of space. The beach in front of the hotel would not likely be your first choice to swin as the Atlantic is very chilly but it still provides a great place to stroll. There is a good Thai restaurant right in the hotel but downtown Cape Town is only about a 15 minute drive away for lots of other options."
