"As I said in the pros of hotel the service was great and the hotel had a nice feel to it with not an intimate feeling with court yards and quiet rooms. The personnel were well trained and very friendly and went out of their way to help you. One of the top hotels in Cusco"

"We had a perfect stay at the Sonesta Hotel Cusco and would highly recommend it to anyone. The hotel, room, service, staff couldn't be better. Special thanks should go to Indira and Antonio who helped us and accompanied my boyfriend to the pharmacy when I was taken ill with food poisoning, in order to get some medication. The hotel and staff exceeded all of our expectations and we will be back."

Hotel Golden Inca
Cusco City Center,Cusco - View on map
"On our trip to Machupichu we found this gem of a hotel in Cusco. They provided a generous 11:30am checkin time so we left our luggage in our room and toured the Inca sites of the city. The free breakfast each morning was different but incuded egg omlets, fruit, yogurt, bread, cereal, chocolate milk, tea, crackers, and cold cuts. When we left for Machupichu the staff offered to store our luggage free for the day which allowed us to take a light backpack to Machupicchu. They spoke English and were amazingly helpful. Because the hotel is not on the main square it's quiet and we had a good sleep each night. Before going out to see the city we were able to fill our water bottles at the hotel because they have unlimited free water refills, saving us money, time and plastic bottles. Overall this is an amazing hotel for the price we paid."

Selina Plaza De Armas Cusco

"we've stayed in 3 hotels in cusco, and this is by far the best. rooms are nice and spacious with kettle, tea bags and a fridge. the rooms are also warm (not all are in cusco!). the breakfast is nice. the staff are helpful and professional - they brought an oxygen tank to our room when i had altitude sickness. the only reason we left was because they had no more available rooms at a cheap price. overall they are much more professional than the peruvian hotels, everything you'd expect from an american chain. JW Marriott El Convento Cusco

"Upon checkin they didn't recognized my AGODA reservation made and PAID weeks ago so it was an awkward checkin situation to check and recheck and recheck. Not professional at all. They should know how to do handle situations like this because that is their job. Meanwhile waiting they threated me like they were doing me a favour... "

More about Cusco

Located in the Southern Sierras in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Cuzco is an extremely important historical city in Peru and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Most of the regional airlines have regularly scheduled flights to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, so getting into Cuzco isn’t hard for international travelers.

Cuzco is one of the most visited cities in Peru, and it’s home to many landmarks and important sites that should not be missed by all experienced travelers. The city is surrounded by many impressive ruins from the time of the Incas, while some buildings from the Spanish colonization are built right on top of some of these ruins and today offer a physical representation of this country’s long history. One example of this Spanish superimposition on the ancient history of the Incas can be seen while visiting the Coricancha, which was original the Sun Temple. The Spanish conquistadors built a Christian church on top of the temple, and today visitors can see the remains of the temple beneath the church, certainly worth a few hours of exploration at the very least. The Plaza de Armas in the historic center is a great place to walk around and experience the current scene of Cuzco mingling with that of the past, while the Inca walls of the city are located right nearby.

The historic wealth of this city is really one that must be experienced firsthand, as there are cultural and architectural wonders at almost every corner. br>
