"Pros: great location, friendly staff, price was very good Cons: hotel needs a good, thorough cleaning and full repainting inside. Pros: You can see some improvements have been made, ie: bathroom counter and sink Cons: doors have water damage, you can see water damage around tub and mildew is needing taken care of. The cleaning staff needs to be retrained ie someone else’s coffee pod was left in coffee maker and there was only 1 coffee set up for the next guest (me). Also, you can tell that the room we were in was at one time a smoking room. Hence the need for thorough cleaning and repainting. Steam clean the carpets and repaint, clean the baseboards. Pros: As mentioned before, the Staff was wonderful and the breakfast was excellent "

"Dayton is a strange city to begin with. There is a main city which is nowhere near this hotel. But most things are far away from one another. It cots me $40 (plus tip) to taxi in, but I used Lyft to get back ($30), but still with tips and all almost $100 just getting to and from this place in the middle of nowhere. It's across the street from what appears to be a trucker's stop. Which is who I'm guessing this place services. I needed to visit someone in Dayton, and I think in the future it would be cheaper and easier to ship that person out of Dayton."

"While my room was adequate, I was surprised to learn that the pool has been removed and the fitness facility was closed due to construction. What really irritated me was that I was charged a parking fee of $10/night for my Fri/Sat stay, a recent policy change that is not explained on the website, at check-in or on the required parking permit form to be displayed in my vehicle. When I expressed my displeasure at the unwelcome charge, the desk manager apologized and said it was a 'management company' decision. I stayed at another Courtyard by Marriott in Newark OH a couple of months ago and there was no such fee; I won't be returning to the Dayton North location on Miller Lane. "

"We have stayed at other Hampton Inns and this was the best. The room was huge and included a whirlpool tub in the room in addition to the bathtub and shower, and there were plenty of towels. The bed was very comfortable and everything was generally clean -- not spotless, but plenty good enough. The heater/AC was very quiet and thermostat controlled so the room was always comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the lobby/eating area was very big and clean. Overall, the hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable, and there were fresh cookies in the lobby! We didn't use the pool this time, but it looked like it would be good. There is no Jacuzzi in the pool area, but we had the whirlpool tub in our room which felt good but only big enough for 1 at a time. My only complaint was that the check-in clerk said she'd sign us up for Hilton Honors and we'd get credit for our stay. This didn't happen even though I gave her all my information. We will stay here again next time we visit the area."
