The border town of Dibba is found on the southeastern corner of Oman’s Musandam Peninsula. The area isn’t known for having any in-town attractions, but the unspoiled nature that makes up the area sets the scene for leisure and recreation. Dibba has an airfield, but entering by road makes for the best way to enter this town of around 5,000.
The natural landscape of Oman is what provides opportunity when looking for things to do in Dibba. Forming a natural harbor, the waters along the coast are filled with coral reefs and marine life. Many visitors choose to stay here while on a diving expedition. The mountains even boast diving opportunities in sinkholes which can be found within the region. The mountains also provide trekking opportunities, and gravel and dirt roads make for some exciting 4WD adventures. Deep water soloing is also popular here and involves scaling a rock wall or cliff set above a body of water. Dhow cruises, kayaking, and snorkeling are but a few more of the activities to be enjoyed while in Dibba.
