"The inn is in a pretty secluded area, and there is nothing much around it. So it is better to get your groceries or food enroute there or if not, you will pretty much be going hungry for the night. The nearest town where you can get your groceries or food is about 18km away. Also, night drive to the inn can be pretty scary as it is really dark. Roads are winding too so do drive slowly if you are driving at night. These are pretty much the cons about this place. Other than that, the room is pretty good for a 3*star hotel. The management was pretty helpful too! It is also a drive away from the entrance of the Yosemite National Park, and about an hour drive to Yosemite valley. Although 1h is long, there is a lot of stop points enroute to Yosemite Valley for photo taking. And this is probably one of the hotels that is nearer to Yosemite if you wish to stay outside of the National Park."

"Everything about Tenaya is fantastic. The front desk staff are kind, knowledgeable, responsive, and thorough. The rooms and facilities are clean and sanitized. The grounds are lovely. My only complaint is the beds. I stayed in both the hotel and on the Explorer Cabins (two separate trips) and the beds in both were way too hard for me. If you like a suuuper firm mattress you’ll be thrilled. I have some back issues and the mattress didn’t help. Otherwise, I couldn’t recommend more highly! "

"Very basic but nice. First motel I've stayed at where it's totally quiet in the morning. Has mini fridge and microwave. Not much around in terms of stores and restaurants, especially at night."
