Have always travel to Guam during Thanksgiving and Black Friday as our purpose is always shopping. They have a Micronesia mall with Macys who offers a taste of US brand of thanksgiving shopping.
They have an outlet shop (GPO) although small is quite good. (Ross. Tommy Hill. nine west, Calvin,. levis etc) And the widest DFS whose Tory Burch branch always runs out of size 7 and 8 shoe sizes because of many Japanese and Korean ladiescompeting to buy the brabd.
good place to have vacation, shopping is good for the designer labels, very affordable for original brands.
GUAM IS A SMALL ISLAND,JUST A BIT 3HR MORE FROM ASIA(IS A US TERRITORY,SO NEED A US VISA TO ENTER),THE MAIN THING ARE ALL IN TUMON BAY, THE SOUTH IS MORE ON SITE SEEING.
GOOD PLACE TO RELAX,BEACH,FOODS,& DO SOME SHOPPING.
It is a beautiful island that has the warmest ocean waters I have ever experienced. The culture is Spanish-influenced.
They have a program called Welcome All Visitors Enthusiastically or WAVE. They wave at tourists walking down the street and at tour buses passing by. The food is an eclectic mix of countries from Korea to China, Brazil to Russia, Filipino to Local. The Wednesday Night Market in the Capitol of Hagatna is a must visit.
I love Guam. It's stunningly beautiful and a nature lovers' paradise. You need to rent a car , to drive around the island, which is easy and inexpensive.
Definitely go to Island Skin Spa for treatments and definitely attend yoga at the Sheraton, Tamuning. Local places are best for food! Try Pika's and the burger place on the left as you drive toward Pika's from Tamuning~ I forgot the name but wow, was it delish.
I wasn't impressed with Guam. They boost up the prices. I was in the store and I picked up a shirt looked at the price tag and noticed that the price tag was peeled off a little and come to find out, once I peeled that price tag off, the actual price was there meaning they boosted up there prices to make tourist pay more than the locals.
So be careful when buying things from Guam.
I think Guam need some new element since there's almost nothing change when I firstly visited here 8 years ago.
We went for 4 days / 3 nights. 1st day we slept until before 11am. Rest of afternoon finished the shopping 1st.
Kmart, Micronesia Mall, Outlet Mall. 2nd day spend most of the day at Water Park. Did some more small walk around the main street. 3rd day spend time at beach on water sports. Parasailing, Jet Ski, Banana Boat. Hotels can be have some updates. It is nice little getaway for 3 nights would be enough. We do not mind to go back there again.
Good for all kind of sports, from skydive to water sports, also for sightseeing for the ocean with dolphin and fishes.
An island unique, a people, a culture special. Guam has many things to offer from sightseeing, shopping, beaches, nightlife to the local and international cruisine.
A place one must definately visit.
Guam is like home. Warm and friendly people. Shopping at very low prices make all the walking worth it !
Very peaceful, no traffic, all shopping centers are just near especially if you have a car, you can tour the island of guam in just six hours.
I wasn't looking forward to a 4 day stop over in Guam but I had such a nice time I would go back for a holiday
Nothing beats luxury brand shopping in Guam. The only thing that will limit you is your credit card limit.
Definitely a place to visit from the usual busy schedule. The day tour around Guam is the best way to have a taste of what guam has to offer.
For a ride of 40 - 50 bucks, you can have a chance to see as many historical places in one day. Worth the try.
There's a little something for everyone in Guam. It's an island steeped in culture, history and tradition, but the people there are anything but simple.
The people of Guam are diverse and their interests vary as much as the international influence that steers the society. If you are contemplating a trip to Guam, by all means make the trip. Be sure to meet the locals, try new things and enjoy their hospitality.
Guam is a nice place but I would suggest to add more shopping malls like Target or even Walmart ....
Great island for water activities, beaches with blue clear water corals and tropical fishes swimming around you was awesome.
Guam is just a small island fit for those who are into sports, like golf, swimming, jogging, & and a lot more.
Its quiet and not so much traffic... you can go around Guam in 3 hours.. easy to get rental cars. Shopping is good.
. and food..
Everyhotel is close to airport. However, you have to rely on tour bus for transportation which is super slow and need to be patient.
If you have a car in Guam, there are a lot of places to see. Without a car, you can only do shopping and dining.
Came to Guam with wife on a "site visit" to determine if we should retire there. Liked the people, ate at some great restaurants, saw some great apartment options, great tropical coastal and inland scenery.
Guamanians tend to be non-confrontational. It helps to try to be that way with them. The downside for retirees is that civilian medical services are very limited and before retiring there, one needs to review one's down-the-road health issues with medical providers you know before making a decision to retire there.
Rent a car and get the car at the airport immediately no matter it is 5am in the morning(after landed).
Approx. USD200 for 4 days 3 nights. Park the car at the shopping mall's car park and then sleep in the car till noon time. Go for lunch beore check-in the hotel (example : Nikko Notel - early check-in is not allowed). Dinner : Long Star Steak House is highly recommended. It is far away from the area of Tumor (approx. 15 mins from Tumor) but they can arrange the car to pick up/send back to hotel.
nice, clean, and very relaxing. locals and foreigners who work here are all very friendly and happy to help! shopping here is also more affordable than other countries.
you can easily walk from one place to another, no need to ride a cab/bus
It's a very small island with lots of relaxation spots. Beautiful beaches and an extremely wide variety of restaurants to choose from.
Very beautiful city with nice hotel and wonderful ocean view in the room. I'd like to come here again with my baby.
Guam is a very small country. You can around the whole country in just a day. There's nothing much to do aside from lounging at the beach or shopping.
It's a good place for those travelers who just want to relax and enjoy the beach.
Nice place to relex and enjoy the sunny weather. Be sure to bring your sun glasses, sun tan lotion and Umbrella.
take noted for their public holiday since the nite market will closed. also u better walk by foot rather than transport by taxi or bus since cost is so expensive ( at least USD 4), also u can join the water activities such as diving.
and pls bring your own diving belongings although they provided.
