close to the cathedral and the promenade along the guaya river bank which is an important recreational area for the people of guayaquil. the hotel has a quite acceptable coffee-shop.

Wow, this hotel with a gallery within is so special. Everything was clean, comfortable and pleasant. Reception staff super helpful, kind and friendly. You can walk everywhere and enjoy your stay! I highly recommend!

I have been in Ecuador for 2 weeks and generally the standard of hotels is not great but this Wyndham is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable, staff very helpful and the location is very central. I would highly recommend.

Good location, just opposite the iguanas park. The building is very old. The first room they gave us was very smelly without windows. We asked for another room and it was better. Still not worth the value though.

If you're in Guayaquil for an overnight stay this is the place for you. Fast internet, many tv channels, new a/c The owners are a lovely bunch. Very helpful and very nice. Best value for money in the area

Perfect place for a night or two if catching a flight. Beds are huge and extremely comfy. Netflix on the TV is a nice addition. 10 minute walk to the airport.

We chose this accommodation because we had a flight to catch the following morning. It's about a 20 minute walk to the airport. The accommodation was very clean, secure, had great facilities and was only a 2 minute walk away from a shopping centre. Our host "Serena" was lovely and very organized. It was a pleasure to stay here.

I just used this as a transit location before and after Galapagos as many people do. My 6 bed dorm was spacious with clean ensure bathroom, breakfast was good, some hammocks too. The fan didn't really reach my bed though and it gets quite hot so shop around for a good bed location when entering. Staff were helpful with taxis, bus organization.

I found this hotel disappointing. My room was large but the beds were very firm and the pillows defy description. I had a tiny window looking out onto a lightwell and another tiny window. I had to have the light (yes, just the one) on all the time as well as the rattly air con on to have some air circulating. The walls were very dark as well so it was all a bit like being a cave dweller. On the plus side, arriving at 10:00 was no hassle, it was close to the main shopping and tourist areas and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'm not up to speed with the prices at Guayaquil, but this seemed expensive for what I got.

Good price for the location. Double rooms on 2nd floor nicer than twin rooms on upper floor. Helpfull staff.

Helpful staff, good size room, breakfast simple but OK. A little bit of noise from the street but if that worries you don't stay near an airport! Definitely recommend.

After 2 days of travelling by air and feeling dead tired, the Hotel DC was the perfect choice for a quiet and safe place to get rested up. David the proprietor was excellent waiting up until 1am for my arrival. He also drove me back to the airport the following morning. It was a bonus that he spoke English.

This hostel was a little out of the way, but Michael is wonderful! He's very friendly and interacts with guests. The atmosphere was very relaxed and Michael will cook food himself and sell it for dinner so you don't have to go out. Perfect for an overnight in Guayaquil.

We would recommend staying here! The owner and his son were so helpful and kind. The apartments are walking distance to downtown attractions. The room we had faces the street so gets the traffic noise, but we slept well, aircon helps!

It was under remodeling when I went a few days ago so it was a bit hard to find (look for the bright green building). Kind and attentive staff, simple and clean accomodation, good wifi, close to the bus terminal and airport so it’s perfect for a one night stay in Guayaquil. Taxis and ubers are cheap and fast to the Malecon, I took the bus for a quarter to the main avenue (9 de octubre) and it was fast too. Thanks North Star!

I first stayed here in 1989 - when it was the only 5* hotel in Guayaquil. Now there is bigger offer, but the Oro Verde maintains its standard and quality and is now very good value for money. The service is excellent and the food very good. No complaints whatsoever.

Had a very comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the reception staff and bell boys are extremely helpful. The restaurant downstairs serves great food. Breakfast only starts at 7am, which for a city hotel, is late. The staff were very kind to open the buffet 20 mins early for us as we had an early flight. You can't go wrong choosing this hotel. for your stay in Guayaquil.

Hotel is a $5 cab ride from the airport. Come out of the hotel front door, turn right, turn right again and on the corner (on the right is the place to get a $10 shuttle to Salinas. And the shuttle drops you at you condo or hotel. Yeah! Stop in to make a reservation, our van was full. Good breakfast included in the hotel stay. Would use this hotel again.

When we arrived at the hotel as we trying to check in, the staff told us the room was fully booked. He had put on in another hotel, which was pretty close to the original hotel we were booked, the room there was great.

We simply stayed here as we had a very early flight out of Guayaquil the next day at 0600. The room was decent, clean, and had a nice bathroom and airconditioner. The hotel is in a dark alley and does not seem like the safes area. There were no restaurants or shopping nearby. We took a cab from the hotel into the city for dinner. The staff were helpful and polite. They called us a cab in the morning to go to the airport which cost $4. I would only recomend this place for a short stay if you are flying out of the Guayaquil airport.

An amazing hotel. It doesn't have some of the amenities of other hotels around the same price, but the price is worth it for the building alone. I have never stayed in such a beautiful building. History positively eekes its way out of every corner. Furthermore, the owner and all the staff are amazingly friendly (not a lot of english, but that's fine by me) and the location is superb, sitting right in the old town. If you have the money, stay here--just to say you have.

Pleasent. The room was small. AC was noisy. People was great. This is a 3 star hotel for sure and its up to a 3 star hotel standard.

Good location, noisy if room faces street, rooms is air conditioned, but common areas are quite hot, reception good about getting taxis, but don't rely on a wake up call to get you to your flight on time.

Hotel served its purpose which was to get 6 hours sleep between flights. 5 dollar airport taxi to hotel and 3 bucks back. Minimal facilities, but sell basics like water. Breakfast inxluded but didn'start till 8, we had to leave at 7. They did supply a small snack to go which was nice

The Guayaquil Holiday Inn was within walking distance to the airport. However, if you let them know when your flight will arrive, they will have a shuttle van waiting for you! The bartender was AWESOME! Very friendly, a great sense of humor, and an all around great guy! His boss was wonderful as well! We started our vacation here and ended it here as well! Best decision ever!

We got a very basic room with no windows. The staff was friendly. Breakfast isn't included, costs $4 which is expensive for Ecuador, and they don't start serving until 8:30 (or at least that's what they said - we never saw anyone in the breakfast room the while time we were there). The nearest place was several blocks away. The hotel is close to the riverfront although it's in a somewhat sketchy area. All in all I didn't feel that this place was all that great, although the staff was friendly and the air conditioner in the room was powerful and quiet, a relief in Guayaquil's steamy climate. The room was pretty basic, but it was tiled and was very clean.
