Our stay was phenomenal. We had been traveling hard through Japan & were ready for a restful night at Fukinomori. Sadly, we had delays & took the wrong train which dropped us 40 mins past our destination & had to backtrack! Agoda was fantastic & contacted the hotel to notify them of our delay /late arrival. They were great about it & were actually worried for us! When we drove up in the cab, we immediately agreed we'd have to book a second night there for the full experience. We wanted to relax! We are so glad we did!! Breakfasts and dinner (12 courses!) were out of this world incredible! I couldn't have dreamed for a better experience. Loved the hotel grounds & amenities, and the outdoor onsen was so remarkable it almost brought me to tears. I felt such a peace up there. Fantastic guidance & shuttle to the Magome-Tsumago trail hike. That alone was a ridiculously wonderful experience! Large traditional rooms, fantastic traditional ryokan service. Our balcony view of the sunrise was absolutely moving, I'd never seen such beauty. We hated leaving but left there relaxed and ready to take on the second leg of our trip. We were very, very pleased and honored to be so cared for here. The epitome of Japanese hospitality here, for sure.

I booked here when unable to book in Tsumago - our main reason for coming to the area. It is a short distance away, but a beautiful drive to a beautiful area. Shuttle bus service was excellent. The guest house itself is basic but fine, but being able to use the excellent facilities of the hotel next door made for a memorable stay. There is nowhere else to eat or buy fo...

we particularly appreciate the helpful and cheerful staff, Ms. 平林. she is helpful and friendly, tried very hard to explain with google translate. thank you very much for her help in coordinating our trip and transportation to 天空樂園. we experienced the greatest starry night. she is always carrying a sweet smile to serve. the room is very cozy and comfortable with goo...

After hiking a section of the Postal Town walk we were looking for a hotel heading back towards Tokyo. Perfect find! Reasonably priced in Iida, a quite town in rural Japan. Good size room, better than average included breakfast and several restaurants within walking distance. Good choice

even though location was a little tricky as the closest train station is 30 min walk (and no other public transportation) the hotel has a free shuttle service you can just ask for - to the station and back! the room was very spacious traditional japanese style with amazing view of kiso valley. also is is a walk away fromatera gorge which is beautiful for a day trip. st...

rooms were large, clean and comfortable. onsen was the best we had used - large and clean with good facilities (hairdryers, shampoos etc). a bit of an effort using public transport but the shuttle bus and pick up from the station put a smile on our faces.
