Inverness hotels & places to stay

The hostel is basic, it looks a bit rough on the outside, but it's got all the essentials. I stayed in a 4 mixed room and it was ok. A little bit small and beds are noisy, but ok. Showers and toilets were clean. Staff was quick at check-in. The location is great, a 5 minutes walk from the centre and surrounded by shops, pubs and other amenities (bus station too). Recommended.

Location, price and service were great. Parking around the corner (3 min walk) was £4.50 for 24 hours. WiFi dropped out several times while I was doing some work in the evening, which was annoying. Overall, I'll book here again when I come back to Inverness.

room was fine, the bathroom tiny but couldn't beat the location. Staff was fairly non evident and definitely not chatty and required the balance to be paid in cash which was a minor hassle. Location was awesome being only a half block from the pedestrian bridge.

Although short, our stay at the Quaich was lovely -- The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the host was both friendly and helpful. The location is very good; within easy walking distance to the downtown area of Inverness, area parks and the castle. There are a number of restaurants and bars in the downtown area. Several options were available for breakfast and the portions left us satisfied for our onward journey.

This was a lovely property. The room was very spacious and furnished well. The hosts were very friendly and helpful , a good breakfast was supplied. The property was within walking distance of Inverness city centre. A very enjoyable stay.

Clean and friendly guest house 10 mins walk from the centre, easy to find with free parking which is very useful in Inverness. Hosts friendly and breakfast room was bright and sunny. I under-estimated how long it takes to drive the A9 to Inverness so arrived at 10pm (9pm is check-in close) but thankfully my host made nothing of it. Can find no fault and would recommend this guest house.

Had an excellent 2 nights stay at Pentahotel and would definitely return if I were to visit inverness again. The room was surprisingly huge with ample space for a table and lounge chair. The toilet and room were both well kept and clean. The hotel is located pretty near Inverness train station and just across the street from the bus station. Those travelling with kids however need to take note that the television provides access to adult channels for free but this access can be restricted with parental controls. So remember to restrict this access especially if your kids are staying on the own in a separate room.

The old house has a lot of charm whereas the newer part is very basic albeit clean and functional. Very good option as it has a large car part (which can be a challenge in Inverness!). Very nice staff, and in a very quiet area. Good comfort food for meals and breakfast.

The location is great, just opposite the Inverness castle at the other side of the river. The room is large and clean. The staffs are nice and friendly. The breakfast is full of everything you want!

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the smallest room, but the bed was comfortable! The bathroom and linens were clean and provided toiletries were nice. Susan and Richard are wonderful hosts--Susan is absolutely a treat to talk to and Richard makes a really nice breakfast! The portions are big, so you won't go hungry! Susan makes sure to keep her chalkboard updated with events going on in the city. We found this to be super helpful and easy to find "local" things to do. She also has a wealth of knowledge of the area with fantastic suggestions on what to do and where to eat. We were not disappointed with her suggestions! We were so sorry to leave at the end of our stay. Thanks Susan and Richard for the warm Scottish hospitality!!

Great location in the middle of Inverness, close to bus station & train station. Plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel. Professional and well trained staff who thoroughly explained hotel and options. Good bar and restaurant - the later has a nice view of the river. Double room was good. Desk, big modern tv, comfortable bed. Bathroom was good with hot shower with good water pressure. Wifi was good. Negatives: High room price which didn't include breakfast. From the room could hear doors closing loudly in corridore and people having conversations, thus not the best sound insulation. No fridge in the room.

We are a young couple who visited inverness as part of our journey to the highland. The stay was a decent one and glad that we booked this hotel. This hotel serve free english breakfast and therefore it was quite a value for money deal for us!

The Royal Highhland Hotel in Inverness, Scotland, is located immediately adjacent to the railway station. It is also in the centre of the highland capital. If you are seeking a central base for exploring, you have found it in the Royal Highland Hotel. Excellent facilities throughout.

The initial booking room has 2 beds and outside bathroom. Though it is only for our room, it is not very convenient. The bedroom is too small for 2 adults 2 children that I indicated in booking. Fortunately, the staff allowed us to change to bigger room with ensuite bathroom at the same price. It become good experience overall.

As soon as you enter the driveway and parking lot, you know that you have arrived at a special place with plenty of history and grounds. The check-in was easy, though write down your license #. Free parking. Room size was large in comparison to most European standards. We had a small sitting area (two wing chairs) near the bed. The bathroom was stunning: Marble everywhere from floor to wall. Nice fluffy towels. As with most European hotels, it does not supply body lotion or the face (small) towels. However, I was surprised to find a box containing shower cap.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel was beautiful, room was spacious & comfortable and very clean. Breakfast had plenty of choice & was great. Their are 3 different menus for 3 different areas to eat. We chose to eat in the bar area & have more of a snack dinner & it was lovely. Plenty of staff in the hotel too & they were all very friendly. Pool was nice & quiet for chilling out. Easy walking distance (abt 10 mins) to the centre of Inverness. Will definitely return.

Pearl's lovely tidy and modern accomodation is a gem amongst amongst a sea of old fashioned 'candle wick' competitors

B&B is just waking distance to the town center. Joan was a great host and was very nice. Our room was very clean and spacious and it was just unfortunate that we only could stay for 1 night. Will definitely recommend the place.

I love this B&B. The owners are lovely people, there is parking and the room is large and the wifi is strong. Breakfast is also very good. I would recommend Glasdair anytime!

It was Avery nice place. Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. We had room 10. The family room on the top floor. The beds were terrible. All had backs aching next day. There is some kind of water pump that makes a dreadful noise with the flushing or in the shower that will wake the dead.

We (a group of three) really enjoyed our stay at the Church St Apartment. It was a very clean, modern, spacious and well-furnished apartment with a clean functioning kitchenette and a bathroom. The heater and hot water worked well. Towels and bedsheets were clean. We didn't get to meet the owners, but they contacted and welcomed us prior to and on our arrival. Check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. We would most definitely stay here again!

We made the right decision to stay at Kenny's place (Silverstrand). Kenny made us experience Scottish hospitality, food (Haggis bfast😋) and comfort of home away from home. We loved our room and the sumptous breakfast! Best of all, Kenny's kind assistance. His place is walking distance to the lock and the Inverness Castle. Lovely views! Silverstrand is highly recommended for couples, families or individuals who wants to walk around and enjoy Inverness.

Very cute place and clean and big rooms. About 30 mins walk from the city. Disapointing when you read in the location city center... however nice little place if you dont want to pay too much. Not much to do in inverness...

The location of this place is prime! You literally walk out the front door to the bridge, river & cathedrals in the background! The host was very communicative and helpful. Beautiful space, everything we needed; Clean, quiet & comfortable. Safe and convenient location as well.

Absolutely fantastic lodge. Michael the owner was an outstanding host, he made every effort to make you feel welcome..The whole lodge is a Victorian setting with gold everywhere. Just stunning.

Need to get the address right. It is 56 A not 56. Otherwise it was easy to find and only a short walk from the railway station
