Jacksonville (FL) hotels & places to stay

Beautiful hotel in downtown Jacksonville. Very nice, clean comfortable rooms. Because of the downtown location there was not a large variety of shops and restaurants in the area, other than at a close-by tourist area. A swimming pool would be a nice addition. Overall good value. I would stay here again.

Booked thru Agoda a smoking room. This hotel is 100% NON-smking. Also, parking costs an extra $20 per day! If I pay for a nice hotel, why do I have to pay even more for the facilities parking deck? Would have been nice to know ahead of time, probably would have stayed elsewhere.

You cannot beat the location of Ine Ocean and the immediate access to the beach. We didn’t have enough time to check out the spa, but it looked beautiful and LOTS of couples we enjoying it along with it’s amazing view on to the beach. The pool and it’s staff were wonderful. We enjoy a nice evening at the restaurant bar making friends one night and, the next morning, had delicious breakfast on the outdoor patio. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and came by our room several times throughout the day to spruce the room, bring us more free in-room treats and attend to us. When my wife and I go back to Jacksonville, this will be the only hotel we plan to stay at. Amazing.

Drove down from Charleston, SC for a concert. As I checked in there was a loud family in front of me. I asked the lady at the desk if I could get a quiet room. She gave me that "I understand" look and booked me on the top floor at the end of the hall. Perfect location. The rooms are not fancy, but mine was meticulously clean! The football stadium is less than 15 min from here. What more could you want for the price?!

We every much enjoyed our oceanfront room. Staff was attentive and room was cleaned every day. Someone was smoking excessively on the second floor and it smelled awful in the hall. Also, my only real complaint was the beds were very uncomfortable, hard. Everything else was wonderful.

Agoda sent us a confirmation number for one Econo lodge, but sent our money to another Econo lodge. We have the proof of it all and to top it off Agoda took the money out of our bank account and because it was their mistake will not refund our money. The hotel we stayed at was good. But the travel service we used caused a night mare. And left us without the money , we paid twice for our room, for two different hotels. Thanks to Agoda. We will never use that service or trip advisor again. If it's the way you run your business, I feel sorry for those who use your service.

Four of us 2 adults and two teens were comfortable in the room with two twin beds. We used two aero beds and it worked well. Nearby Zaxbys, Applebee’s Sonic, Waffle House and a nice Tex-Mex restaurant. Complimentary breakfast was nice. Quiet, clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. A few minutes outside of Jacksonville and 25 minutes north of St Augustine.

all is the best... nice place for living and nice place for the sea. love the sunrise and love the people.

It was a very nice place. Just off 95, but very easy to access. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with any inquiry. I will stay again when I travel through Jacksonville.

wanted a central location between the beach's and the zoo. We were about 20 min away from both locations. The staff was very friendly. The price was great compared to the hotels on the beach. The room were clean.

Loved the location. You can walk across the bridge to reach downtown in about 10 mins. The rivertaxi does a stop at the the dock at the back of the hotel. Airport drop off arranged by the hotel costs $45 which I thought was expensive. Especially when you can call an Uber or Lyft for about $25. The rooms were clean and has a nice view of the river and the city.

Enjoyed our stay here and staff was very friendly. The permanent guest treated us like family. I have never felt so welcomed at any home away from home.

Staff was very nice and accommodating and the room was extremely quiet with nice dark curtains to help support great sleep. The beds are the most comfortable beds and the pillows are perfect! Location was super convenient and I appreciated having a Starbucks in the hotel, as well.

Older Hotel, but decent room, nice foyer, friendly desk, enjoyable pool, nice cleaning gals & plenty of food spots nearby as well as frwy access. The breakfast was typical fare for "included" hotels, but nice booths. Awaiting for their restaurant to re-open. Fridge & microwave good in the rooms. Would be nice to keep the coffee out all day as many hotels do today. I came down after breakfast & it was gone. Otherwise, a good value when using discounts & enjoyed our relaxing time there.

There was a distinct smell. There were questionable looking people loitering in the parking lot. In the 5 minutes it took me to unload my bags and enter my room, a cop car slowly drove through the parking lot twice... clearly this is a place that gets unsavory clients.

1 overnight stay because we got tired on the road. Place was nice n clean. Breakfast was great, a good variety. Beds comfortable, lots of pillows. Room was decorated nicely with lots of room

Needed room for one night after hurricane Irma. Paid $150 for an "upgraded" room. Carpet and furniture in room had multiple stains. Dingy, dirty, old appearance. Front desk person was not manning the desk full time - getting breakfast or outside on her phone. Room card stopped working. Had it reprogrammed and it still didn't work. Will never stay at a Best Western again.

This was a one time visit to Jacksonville. Quality inn lefty wife and i wish we had stay at a higher quality inn.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean.great location. Close to Mayo and restaurants and shopping right down the street. Loved it all. Would definitely stay again.

This was my first to Hampton Inn, Jacksonville. Staff service was excellent, with check- in and check-out very efficient. The room was excellent, with all the facilities I required. Only thing they don’t have, is a room safe. They serve a breakfast, which is limited, but good....... good that this type of property provides a breakfast! The breakfast area does get busy at the peak time!! In summary good value, and I would certainly use this place again!!

I love that it sits right by the mall, once it parked my car I didn't had to move it until it was time to leave

This hotel is on the outskirts of a large city. A little difficult to find, but in a quiet area, dinner not available at the hotel but a short walk to Dave and Busters was worth while. Car paling available and free, a well presented hotel and a pleasant stay.

Very good location in walking distance to Steak House. Clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast (typical American but Coffee not too bad for European ;-)

I chose this hotel for the sauna, fitness room and business center. The sauna is no longer in use...looks like it hasn't been used in 20 years, but they still list it as an amenity and the staff has no idea whether they have one or not. The fitness room has no air conditioning and only the rowing machine works. The business center is one tiny hot room with one computer and a printer that takes 15 minutes to print a page. The hotel looks like it was really something 50 years ago, but hasn't been taken care of for the last 20. The smoke detector fell on me in the middle of the night. Staff didn't care. Front desk staff didn't know anything about taking a tax exempt form. When I called the manager later...sorry, can't do anything unless they take care of it when I checked in (when the manager isn't there and the staff didn't know how to do anything...great, thanks.) Internet would never work. Stay was very disappointing.

Absolutely got what I paid for. Room was just the right size, spotless and very comfortable for my one night stay. Would've loved to stay longer if I could! The front desk staff were all extremely kind and friendly (that was the best part!) and happily answered any questions I had. Breakfast was just right and the free airport transfer was a huge plus too, so I'd definitely recommend staying here if you have an early morning flight to catch! All in all, a wonderful stay and I'd definitely come back again!
