Kamloops (BC) hotels & places to stay

The location is conveniently close to gas station, restaurants and grocery. The breakfast include 2 kinds of eggs (omellette & boiled), waffle, and an espresso/latte/cappuccino machine. Hero, the General Manager (Owner) cared enough to work weekends so staff can take a break. That is a wise way to ensure quality and get to know the clients. Smart little thing we noted: they put a magnet to the shower curtain so that it sticked to the bath-tub, keeping it in place. Thank you, Hero, for upgrading us to a suite. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly frequent your establishment for our next trips.

Very clean three star hotel with nice indoor pool and breakfast included. Great for young families looking for a clean and entertaining place to stop with the kids.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay ,this is our third time and will stay there anytime we go to Kamloops. Lovely friendly staff,clean rooms and a great location. Five stars in our opinion. Thank you so much.

Convenient location. No hassle check in and out. Friendly efficient staff. Coffee machine in lobby so guest could have a coffee any time.

By looking at the previous comment of this hotel, i have less confident. This hotel received a lot of negative comments few months/years ago. However, they amazed me. i found that they did a lot of improvements in terms of cleanliness, breakfast and etc The front desk staff is professional, friendly, helpful, and considerate. My room was upgraded and i was given a room near to the front desk, as i solo female traveler, i'm thankful for that arrangement, this made me feel much more comfortable and safe.

It had been a while since I stayed in a place in Canada so the price for what I got was ridiculous but good for being in Canada. My room was nice and the staff were great. Everything worked and it was very comfortable. There wasn't much around but I had a car so I was able to look around.

The room was really comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a simple continental and we didn't find it a hassle at all to collect it from reception. Only downside was the noise from the road but it wasn't too bad if you're used to some noise, e.g. towns/cities anyway.

No complaints. Good sized room, indoor heated pool, clean, decent basic breakfast. Ticked all our boxes.

Comfortable and pleasant stay. We spent an overnight stay in kamloops as part of our drive from Jasper to Vancouver.

The rooms are on a ridge overlooking the city, so it's a great view. There are 2 great indian restaurants nearby. Fast and efficient front desk.

Lovely well maintained rooms, great customer service and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The spa and pool were also excellent. If you want to be in the midst of the city centre this may not be the right location but it was a perfect stopover on the way to Vancouver. Would definitely stay here again if in Kamloops.

it is exremely American stlye, and there is dust on the shelves & table of the room. so, it is cleaned directly.

This hotel overlooks the river at Kamloops but only those favoured get a room with a view. We booked 6 months in advance and I was disappointed to overlook the highway and not the river. When I asked reception said they are saved for regulars. Breakfast mediocre, room too small for seating to be available and the staff member has to stand amongst the food available as she washes dishes or unloads the oven. I had to ask if there was any fresh fruit. And I am amazed at how many hotels offer fruit loops as a cereal choice.

Great host. Help me to check in late. Clean and comfortable room. It is worth recommending to everyone.

The hotel is very clean. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The location in excellent for people travelling by private vehicle. The lot is not suitable for ‘big rigs’.

We have had to stay in hotels in Kamloops for several years, and try to get budget accommodation. We will look no further now, as I am sure we have found the best value for a very economical rate. The service was great and the whole stay very enjoyable.

front reception staff were helpful and nice. room was large and clean (only downfall was the noise from HWY)

On arriving at the reception, the service was delivered by less than polite man. Next day, we saw the woman owner/employee being unfriendly to a man with a guide dog -- he obviously needed his dog as he had physical disability. He was told that other visitors would not like the dog in the breakfast room. NO! We actually said "Hi" to the dog. The food was spartan: no cheese , no bacon, no sausages and there were no eggs. I went to the office to report that there were no eggs and not enough bread. She responded that she had just placed some bread. To be honest I had not seen the bread being placed. To be fair to her, she did place some bread in the time between my seeing the empty bread storage area, going detour to my car to pick up things and then going to the office.. She did rifle though the fridge and placed 5 boiled eggs at the time -- about 8.30 am. Later on, a couple arrived and there was hardly eggs for two people. She was RATIONING eggs as also other items. REALLY BAD !

There is a small kitchenette & fridge in the suite which is good to store some snacks, milk etc. Manager on duty was helpful too.

Read some negative reviews on this place and after staying I'm wondering why. Room was super clean. Updated. Everything you need was there. I do think my room phone may have been on the fritz though. Not one complaint, I had a wonderful stay. Didnt get a chance to eat the breakfast so I have no opinions on that.

The fresh lime water dispenser, biscuits and at times popcorn in the lobby , the location of the hotel which is walking distance from aberdeen mall and the bus stops which are situated very close to the hotel were the pros. The only thing that I personally did not like is the absence of spoon and mugs in the room for the coffee/tea making . Otherwise everything was perfect.

Hotel looks new. Room not large but still reasonable size and well appointed. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Free covered parking. Facility-wise it was good value at Agoda's rate. However, what most travellers want most is a good night's sleep, and the railway right next to the hotel made this very difficult to achieve. All through the night trains passed by, and an old hard of hearing guy like me could hear the rumbling and clattering clearly. Hotel did provide ear plugs. There was also a "white noise machine" on the night table, which supposedly would cancel out the outside noise. The machine itself emitted humming noise which was quite annoying itself, so I didn't keep it on. To sum up, I would not stay with this one again.

We planned a getaway to Kamloops. Being the long weekend, there wasn’t much left to choose from. I found a 2 bedroom suite for almost $200/night. We didn’t need that much room, but we decided to take it. The first issue was that we couldn’t find it. You see they have 2 addresses. The navigation system took us all over the area, but not there. There are no signs. Secondly, we check in, and there’s an additional fee of $75. The icing on the cake though, was when we got to the room. It had 2 “full sized” but actually double beds in 2 separate rooms with a small kitchen area. The booking page had even asked what bed-size we preferred. We went down to the desk, because there are no phones in the rooms. We asked is there was something with at least queen beds and were rudely told that it was a university residence and very full. I said there was not one word about it being a campus dorm or I would not have booked it. He said we’ve had 400 people check in today. Nothing I can do.
