Simple wonderful view of the lake and the Church of Good Shepherd is a must go. Though nothing is in it, but you will just feel amazing in it.
The sunrise, sunset, and night sky are simply breathtaking. Try it yourself to prove my saying. Starry Starry night is waiting for you!
If you are not a big fun of astronomy, no need to stay here for a night. After lunch at Kohan, you may continue your travel to the next place.
Quaint little town right on lake. Very accessible to Mount Cook. Has observatory with stunning views.
Good Shepherd Church interesting. Good food choice for such a small town.
The church next to the lake tekapo is a must go, the view is so beautiful and amazing. I really wish I could live there, and don't forfeit to see the lovely starsss at night
Go for one of the late night Mt Cook Observatory tours. We did the 12:30AM - 2:30AM tour and got to see the moon set, among many other amazing astral objects.
Definitely one of the highlights of our NZ trip.
This place is beautiful! I would have use "paradise" to describe the stunning scenery of the Lake! I was very lucky to be able to catch the season of Lupin flowers.
The surrounding is so quiet and peaceful! I would definitely go back to visit Lake Tekapo again.
Hot pools, skating rink, ice tubing, fishing, star gazing and visit to planetarium are all great activities in a unique and beautiful setting.
the snow tubing and the hot pools are really their main attraction but next time we will visit the observatory.
Beautiful lake so bring cameras! Night star gazing (must do!) and the historic church is a must see in Lake Tekapo!
a very quiet place but very picturesque and a great location next to the lake and surrounded by snow covered mountains very close to Mount Cook and Twizzel (
The ice rink, hor pools and spa were a highlight of our visit. Plenty of good walks and amazing scenery
We went fishing and caught 6 fish from the canals which was great fun. The cafe at the top of MT John was locely with spectactular views of the area and a soak in the hot pools is very relaxing.
