Behind the Times & Poorly Maintained Building: Behind the Times: In the room, no safe, no microwave, no refrigerator. Poorly Maintained: 1.) The skylight in the lobby above the fountain is filthy, dripping with dirt. 2.) The outside face of the doors to the pool need re-staining along with other outdoor wooden furniture (especially the side tables for the room patios off from the pool. 3.) The pool is closed and the water looks a unhealthy foggy green. 4.) The lighting in the lobby is shadowy and dim. 5.) The restaurant at breakfast had only one waitress - all food is cooked to order - no buffet - if you are in a hurry, forget it.

Me and my friend were traveling from LA to Houston and decided to stop in Las Cruces for the night! Our hosts Lori and Chris at the front desk WERE PHENOMENAL!!!!! They gave us such great recommendations and made our stay a pleasant one! They have amazing amenities and their beds had me and my friend sleeping like we were babies!

Staff at check-in was right on the ball with checking us in and suggesting places to eat. There are fast food places all over in the neighborhood. And a big super-center for shopping around the corner. The room was clean and comfortable and everything worked.

I was very pleased with my stay. First time I stay at Best Western and I will certainly select them on my next trip. Thank You.

My six-year old daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights as I had to do work in Las Cruces. We both enjoyed ourselves and were very pleased with the affordable rate. The pool isn't much to see but it serves its purpose and there's an indoor jacuzzi too. Wish they served breakfast a little later (ends at 9am).

Excellent for the price you have a nice clean room staff willing and going out of their ways to help and facilities wonderful close to FW to anything you need to do

The hotel and room looked nice when you first enter. But, we went into the which wasn't very clean. You could see the dirt pile up as you got into the deep end, there was a lot of soap scum and calcium build up on the tiles of the pool. We went to bed and I woke up to find I lost my earring while sleeping. Thankfully, I found it, but was also disgusted at not having clean bedding. I took the first sheet off and found yellow stains on the comforter and other stains on the sheet set. When I lifted the bed skirt to see if my earring was under the bed, there was trash as if they just moved everything to the side instead of actually clean the room. A friend was staying in another room and lifted the foam piece up from the bed as their sheets didn't fit the bed properly and found yellow stains on the actual mattress! Disgusting is all I can say!!! Never again.

The lemon water provided in the lobby smelled horrible and tasted like it went bad weeks ago. That was the only thing that stuck out to me. Otherwise the room was comfortable and service was nice.

I simply couldn't believe the pool policy. The pool didn't open until 10am, and checkout was at 11am. When, exactly, are you supposed to take your children swimming? It was obvious that they didn't want anyone to use their pool. I take my children to hotels with pools so that we can swim in the mornings. What a waste. This hotel also doesn't want people to eat breakfast. The breakfast offerings were good, however there wasn't enough for the # of guests. For example, there was only 1 waffle iron, meaning you could wait 20 min in line for the chance to make a waffle. The breakfast room is completely dominated by a huge television. The first morning, I walked into the breakfast room with my children, ages 4 and 5. We were greeted by a woman in a TV commercial telling us "Don't tolerate painful sex." WHAT?! My children have never even heard the word 'sex,' and the first time they hear it, it's coupled with the word 'painful' and described as something not to be 'tolerated'? Thank heavens they didn't ask me to explain that later. I asked the desk person to turn the TV off, and he did. The 2nd morning, there were several families already eating when we came. I went to each table to ask whether they minded if I asked for the TV to be turned off. They all said, "Oh, PLEASE do, we don't want it on." I asked that it be turned off, and it was. A half-hour later, a new staff person came in and turned the TV back on! Um... thanks. You really think all those people were sitting there eating breakfast thinking, gosh, I wish that TV were on? Doubtful. As soon as it was back on, the room started clearing out. Who wants a huge TV talking to them in the early morning? The desk person, apparently. People have TV's in their rooms and can take their food back there if they want to watch. There's no reason to do that to people. This hotel has amenities, but they are just for show. They don't actually want you to use them. Their star level should be reduced.

It has everything we need when we are in Las Cruces. Good location. New hotel, so updated to modern travel.

The claim of "Pet Friendly" is not how I define it. They wanted an extra $20/night for my small dog. The complimentary continental breakfast was pathetic.

It offers warm breakfast food, full entrees with complimentary drink (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), convenient location, pool, and 50% chance of friendly workers. The room was quiet and the beds were clean. The bathroom was nasty. There were old towels fried and shoved in random corners and places, hair in the sink, and when you showered you were gifted with heightened senses that allowed you to enjoy the locker room urine smell. Don't worry about whether or not they dusted. They didn't. Embrace it. Pretend your a CSI detective and search for fingerprints.

We stayed at Lundeen Inn for just one night during a road trip. It was a nice alternative to the sterile (more expensive) hotels. We were sorry we didn't know about it sooner. It is a restored, 100-year-old, large ranch home typical of SW. The owners have decorated it with hundreds of pieces of local art. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely arranged. The breakfast is more like a B&B with coffee, juice, some home style cooking, and cereal. We stayed in the room with two queen beds - had our college grad daughter with us. Friendly family runs the home. Sorry we were in a rush to keep going and could not enjoy the place more. It is located close to many good restaurants, but we arrived after 9 PM, and the surrounding town seems to close down early. Otherwise, the stay would have been perfect.

Only minor complaint was bathroom fan was a little noisy. No free breakfast, but those are never very good anyway. Was great for an inexpensive stay while traveling. Food/dining is rated 3 because they don't have a restaurant of any kind at the motel. Lots of good options nearby though.
