"I booked a room with queen bed and an optional 2 twin beds. I was surprised and delighted that when I got into the hotel, I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. The staff was really friendly and accommodated us in everything that we need. Thank you mammoth mountain inn. We’ll definitely come back here. "

"I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but decided to give it a try. All in all we had a good stay. The room was big, clean and had a new A/C unit. The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable as well. We didn't have time to use the pool and hot tub but went in to check them out and they appeared to be clean, maybe next time. The overall condition of the building was mixed with some areas like hallway walls and carpet needing attention and others that seemed to have just been updated. Compared to other chain hotels in Mammoth this was definitely a step up and I would have no problem staying here again. "

"Very good hotel, not expensive for Mammoth Lakes, good breakfast, there was no eggs and potatoes, but they said they usually have it. They have a spa, but it was closed. Very nice, big and clean rooms. Hallways could be better, but you're staing in a room, not in a hallway:) good location, center of Mammoth Lakes. Overall recommend this hotel 10 of 10"

"We had 2 reservations, which resulted in 2 different 2-bedroom condos for the week in which we were guests. Both condos were very nice, but our first 3-night stay resulted in a condo that faced an interior area where a party/band/concert was going on late into the evening. It was very loud and difficult to sleep. Considering we were in Mammoth Lakes for work-related reasons, it was not conducive to a "peaceful and restful" night. Three days later we returned for our second stay. That was a perimeter 2-bedroom condo and was much better suited for our requirements even though another concert was scheduled for the Labor Day weekend. All-in-all, we would book here again but will check their events calendar and request our condo location accordingly."

"Basically Mammoth is a Ski and Ride town. So typically the hotels are a bit rough. This appears to be the best hotel in the area. The ski lift is also near here, but not operational during summer skiing."

"Tamarack Lodge is on the edge of Mammoth Lakes town but is easy to find and served by a shuttle bus to the town centre. The decor and atmosphere inside it nice. It doesn't feel like it's changed too much since it was built in the 1920's but without being too kitsch. The room was a little small but that didn't bother us at all; the lounge of the hotel is snug and inviting with a little bar serving bottled beer brewed in Mamoth Lakes - it's excellent. The restaurant very good (with a strong french influence on the menu), not cheap but reasonably priced given the standard of food and wine. We stayed in the summer although I can imagine it would be good for skiing in the winter. We were using the lodge as a base for walking in the area although it would also be a good retreat. We'll certainly stay there again"

"Our room was clean and comfortable. We usually stay in a condo/townhouse, but for a short 3 days stay this B & B was fine. Since the room does not have a small refrigerator or microwave, a longer stay would not work for us. Our only complaint was the bathroom showerhead was way too low. It would be okay if you were 5 foot or less."
