Cleaner and neater than most I’ve seen in Ecuador. The location is good not great, you’ll have to use taxis to go the beach and the center. I had business to do on Montecristi village, so for me it was actually convenient, since the hotel is on the way to Montecristi and the bus passes right in front. Overall, really good experience!

Has all the basics i.e. A bed, but had no hot water. The boy checking me in, I felt didn't really know what he was doing. Was glad I was there only one night.

I had a great stay here. The hotel looks amazing, and the view of the ocean is as well. It had a unique design with some rooms being below the lobby level, as the hotel is basically built into the side of a cliff. The ocean view room I had was very spacious and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly, too. The plaza also has many bars and clubs with great music for nightlife. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a good hotel, probably the best in Manta. Excellent food and service. Try and massage if you want pampered. The hotel is almost 15 years old now but has maintained a consistently higg standard. High quality conference facilities.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, one of the owners was particularly helpful and friendly and looked after me well. The dinner was huge and freshly cooked; the breakfast large and inviting. It was a bit deceptive that the hotel was not on the beach as that is what it looked like in the internet photos of the place. You can however see the ocean from rooms at a higher level. All in all I had a pleasant stay there.

The Perla Spondylus is a great hotel for a stop over in Manta. The hotel is located very near to the marina, is an easy walk to the malecon, the restaurants & vendors along the malecon, & to the beach. The hotel rooms are large, well-equipped with a big, comfortable bed, TV, mini-fridge, hair dryer, toiletries, lots of towels, etc. Wifi is reasonably strong, a/c is good (& needed!) The breakfast room is large with a nice view of the marina. Breakfast is chosen from a menu with a selection of five or six tasty choices. The best part about the Perla Spondylus is the staff! Always friendly, smiling & helpful. Maria speaks good English & can you arrange anything. :-)

they need to keep hot water for showers. it really is not a resort nothing was included no meals, drinks, you had to buy your water to drink and no ice. the hired personnel was excellent the cooks, security and waiters.
