Find Hotels in Maputo, Mozambique

I stayed here for 3 nights while finishing up some work for a consultancy in Maputo. What a world away. The place is flawless, excellent everything. The breeze off the ocean is absolutely priceless and I left my windows open all day and night. The diving was great. Food and staff fantastic. Oh, and I got all my work done on time :) I will do my best to come back with my family.

It's not what used to be. Slow, uninterested service. Mediocre food. The rooms are not spotless, house keeping is not impeccable. Overrated, overcharged: not good value for money.

Really beautiful and peaceful place. Amazing staff, very serene, well done. Staff were very attentive and flexible to the traveler's needs. Not quite beachside but accessible to much of Maputo. Will be back.

Location is near port. Rather safe. Small kitchen, bath. Restraunt was nice. Stuffs are organized. Though it is ordinal hotel in other country, but if you think you are in Mozambique, Afrin Prestige is excellent and I can recommend.

I am from Singapore and I do carry the adaptor that can fit the Mozambique AC. I when to the reception to request for one that I can use, instead of providing one they told be that their hotel do not have this kind of adaptor and if I need one it will cost me Metical MZN300 + MZN200 (Taxi Service)to get. I really have no choice but to buy it. (no receipt was given)This is an four star hotel which I feel that if you are accommodating guest from around the world. This kind of adaptor should be make available. I don't think this will cost much.

This is an excellent hotel in Maputo. The cleanliness is great and the WiFi connection works fine inside the room. The official rating is 3 star, but I think that it is not far from a 4 star rating, the hotel is that good. The restaurant is excellent, the breakfast choices could be a little more versatile. There is a 10 minutes walk from the hotel location to an intersection where you can find restaurants and a bank ATM, so the basics for a longer stay are fine.

A very comfortable stay. Unfortunately one night was spoilt by EXCESSIVE noise from other events within the hotel. Management were willing to listen to my legitimate complaint and compensate accordingly. Still the most comfortable hotel in Maputo. Would definitely recommend the Polana to friends and business associates who visit Maputo

the hotel was advertised as 6.3km from the airport. the journey took 2 & a half hours!!! you have to take a taxi to the port, wait for a ferry travel to the island and the travel on a dirt track for 20 minutes. (the taxi driver on the island will try and rip you off, they will hold you to ransom as there is so little choice?) infact,unless you have specific reason to go to Maputo, don't go there!! its a dirty and dangerous place. not for the feint hearted.

We had a 3 nights stay at the Pestana Rovuma hotel. For easy walking access to Maputo you can't find a better hotel. Staff very courteous and pleasant. Nice bar, coffee shop and restaurant. Also several locations for sitting outside. Rooms were clean, comfortable beds, good bathroom and the TV had several international stations The only thing they need to work on is there WiFi.

Nunu - the owner greeted me. A friendly a welcoming meeting. The room was clean with tv and AC.. perfect for an overnight stay in maputo. Nunu gave me a tour of the sundeck, restaurant, pool and explained honesty bar policy. Hotel is a 20 min taxi ride from airport . Cant cpmment on location of guesthouse in relation to maputo sights... but a store, restaurant and Atm are all within a 5 min walk..

Room 325 spotlights shine in the window all night and hotel Aircon unit outside window. Service in bar and terrace terrible and very expensive

Bad attitude of staff and securities. Parking is a big problem ( on day of check out we received a morning call at 5am to remove vehicle) There seems to be only one iron in the entire hotel (received a call at 6am requesting the iron)

This is a very nice hotel with a great view. The architecture is superb. I would easily give it a 5 star except for a few minor things. The shower drain was very slow. We would end up in an overflowing puddle of we didn't turn off the tap now and then when we were showering. The toilet didn't flush properly. We reported this to one of the cleaners but when we came back it was stil the same. The sheets and towels were white and clean but had a stale smell. Other than that we loved the hotel
