Mykonos is a great island. The town is awesome but a problem at night trying to park whether it be a car or bike as every inch is taken up so if you travel alone you would have to get the bus in, which is not a great problem.
You should explore the whole island. Kalo Livaldi is the best beach for swimming as no rocks to climb over to get into the water. Sunbeds vary from E10 to E12 per day which can be very expensive. Super Paradise Beach is very lively with lots of music playing. They have a self service restaurant at the beach which is very useful as the one at Pinky Beach is extremely expensive. The roads vary from dreadful to good!!
There are good restaurants with delicious sea food. There are also beautiful beach and good sight-seen for sunset from little venice and windmills of Kato Milli.
Mykonos is a beautiful city. The street and surrounding is very artful. Many shops are standing side by side in small isles.
The food is also awesome, especially the seafood.
1. Delos is a must to visit. 2. Flies are everywhere in the restaurant which make us very uncomfortable.
3. Foods are expensive with smaller portion
mykonos was so much fun and relaxing at the same time, food was amazing in platis gioallos and jacki o in super paridise.
the beaches are clean , fun and there is lots to do. we had a quad bike which made travelling around and seeing the town much easier. locals were very helpful and the nightlife is awesome.
Mykonos is not really a place for solo traveler and family. For couple, the romantic atmosphere is perhaps priceless, but for all those who are not affected by it, everything there seems overpriced.
Late June is a great time to visit. The weather is awesome and the crowds have not yet hit the scene.
Great place for photographers to visit, some awesome pics can be found by walking into town from the meandering streets.
A nice city with good nightlife and many small, good restaurants. Nice beaches. Nice sunset every night.
Mykonos city is a lovely coastal city with many restaurants, shops and beautiful scenery. Little Venice is particulary charming with the sea front restaurants and bars, and the great view of the wind mills.
My favourite restaurant is Opa which is inland in one of the Squares - great Greek food (try the platter of mixed seafood and rissoto).
We visited during end Sept/early Oct and it was the end of the travel season. The place was still packed with tourist and I guess during the summer, it would be even more crowded.
Minimum 2night stay to visit the town area and beaches.
