Puerto Iguazu hotels & places to stay

Bed was reasonably comfortable. I rated this hostel poorly as I was not impressed by the bathroom or kitchen. To be fair it is very cheap in a good location but I feel too many places think they can ignore other aspects of clean accomodation.

This place used to be called Hostel Inn. It's the perfect place to stay for your Iguazu experience. The guys at the reception will greet you with the warmest welcome and biggest smile, genuinely happy you have arrived safely to their place and will give you all the time to explain how everything works and what's around in excellent English. The place is big ,the rooms are good sized and the beds are comfortable. Big swimming pool. Ice Bar next door. Fresh cakes and fruit for breakfast. It was the cheapest and the nicest hostel I stayed in.

I wouldn't go there again! The 1st room they assigned me was flooded, I can back at the end of the day with wet bed sheets and everything in my backpack wet I ncluding a pool of water in my shoes. The staff was nice, they changed my room but the second room smelt like sewage so bad that I woke up at 2 am coughing, had to open the door and window for the whole night. I checked out that morning, everything in my backpack still smells like sewage now!

There is nothing to claim about!Good value for money (except the much too simple breakfast)

The owners of these appartments were great. They made me feel incredibly welcome and and were most helpful. The apartment it self was really clean and tidy with good facilities, and a few little extras (packets of sugar, salt, sauces for if you're cooking there. it's also in a position close to the bus station for the falls, Brazil or onward travel in Argentina. Also I arrived at 7am and they were happy to let me in despite the hour. Great stay, Thank you.

breakfast choice was limited and got rather tedious by 3rd day, bread was stale every day (although i found that argentina doesn't do good bread generally) staff were very friendly but spoke limited english so have a few phrases pre-translated prior to going. beds were comfortable & room/bathroom was good size

Very friendly staff, unfortunately not all of them spoke English but that wasn’t issue at all by using Google translate which they were very familiar with. Good location from which you could easily arrange a day trip to Iguazu Falls by taxi – don’t think I wold pay for travel agency again as is very easy to sort it on your own. Basic selection for breakfast but at least keeps you running in the morning.

The hotel is located on the main road and therefore easy access with bus to the falls, airport and city center. The food, although not top quality was still cheaper and better than what the city center offered. The staff were very friendly and very very helpful. The cocktails at the hotel pool were cheap too!

Owed and run by a family who recently purchased this guest house, it was perfect for us who didn't want to be in a giant hotel. Although it is several blocks off of the main road it is still walking distance to several great attractions and the son drives a taxi as well for longer excursions if you do not have a car of your own. We were allowed full use of the facilities and breakfast was included that we were asked to choose! There is free wifi and for us with limited spanish speaking abilities, the son was able to help us with all of our requests as well, he provided many suggestions for great things to do during our stay! Highly recommend for those who want a more authentic experience!

The room design is quite nice, clean room with the small kitchen. The hotel is just in front of the bus station that takes you to the iguazu fall both Argentina and Brazil side. There is also a supermarket and restaurant not so far.

very nice location and big apartment for 4 people. New bathroom. TV; kitchen with amenuties to cook. wonderful lndlord ththelped us booked taxis to the falls and advised us where to go and at wht time. I would strongly rcommend the place. close to supermarket, laundry and restaurant; try la Rueda- great food Debby

A decent hotel with everything you need for your stay at Iguazu. The staff was helpful and always ady to explain about the area and good places to eat. I liked that it is a walking distance to the small town, rather than one of the hotels along the road towards the Airport.

The staff didn't speak English but easy enough check in & out. I realise this is a budget hotel but you would probably get better value & comfort staying at a hostel and have change left over. Short walk to local shopping / restaurant areas and easy enough to book tours to the falls.

the rooms are large and clean, with air conditioning (ac). the staff was very friendly and helpful, offering to arrange a tour if i wanted one, but also trying their utmost to help me with everything i requested. the location is about 2 blocks from the main puerto iguazu bus terminal, with buses to iguazu falls, the airport, and elsewhere. things to be aware of: this hotel is extremely basic, with foam mattresses, briefly losing electric power a couple of times during my stay (which may be due to puerto iguazu rather than the hotel), no fridge, basic breakfast, etc. i was in a ground floor room with no bars on the window, although they may not be as necessary in puerto iguazu as in buenos aires. more thoughts: the hotel has a wonderful tropical feeling with a patio overlooking the very quiet street (quiet except for the music from one of the neighboring houses). my room was large and even though i am traveling alone, it had three beds in it. the wifi service is only available in the common areas, and they gave me a password other than the normal one (which did not work), so for me it worked very well. the room and bathroom were clean, though i did find some tropical insects in the bathroom (which may have been due to my leaving the window open). there is a pool and air conditioning, neither of which i used. the hotel is two blocks from the main bus terminal in puerto iguazu, from where there are buses to iguazu falls and the airport, and there are restaurants and stores nearby. the best thing about this hotel is the staff. i found them extremely helpful and friendly, happy to tell me where to find a laundry or, had i wanted, arrange a tour to the falls.

Lisi is an amazing host, she made us feel like family instead of just hotel guests. When we first arrived I left my bank card at the airport ATM. Lisi quickly called the airport police and within a short time she had located my card and had a taxi driver bring it to the hotel! I was so grateful! Throughout our stay she was always giving us great advise on how to get to places etc. Room was modern and very clean. We totally recommend Posada del Angu!

The hotel met my needs, but it ended up being comparatively quite expensive for what it was. It wasn't a great way to met people - as a solo traveller; better for couples or friends travelling together.

We felt like home, Lorena expected us and treated us as we were friends coming to visit. She even made dinner for us. Helped us with our trips to Iguazu, both the Argentinian and Brazilian side. Organised us the transfers and gave us tips what to do and don't do.

Outstanding stay! We had two nights in a beautiful hotel surrounded by jungle. The hotel is located in an indigenous reserve called 600 hectares. The area has small, secluded boutique hotels as well as an indigenous village with an artesan crafts market. We felt we were far from the town but were only ten minutes away. The hotel is near the bridge to Brazil or the ferry to Paraguay, and a 15 minute drive to Iguazu Falls. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and clean. The wooden paths kept us above the mud during a rain storm. We only had breakfast which included eggs and bacon, but the dinner menu looked reasonable and varied. All in all a great value.

Lovely. Small hotel with lovely helpful staff. Driver who picked us up from hotel rene was absolutely lovely and we used him to take us to iguazu falls and over the border to Brazil. Very knowledgeable and great value for money. Very close to one of the best restaurants in town with live music and great steaks. Would definetly stay here again

Located perfectly from the bus station, town supermarket, bars, restaurants and atm. Extremely convenient apartment with small things like usb sockets that really make a difference after a long day at the falls. The TV with netfix a cool touch and the bed is super comfortable. The apartment was genuinely nicer than some of the "4" star hotels we stayed in during our travels across Latin America.

poor service,poor wifi,just have wifi in lobby,but also disconnect.bathroom is dirty,the water is yellow in color,i suggest u need to buy water outside

The stay was really good. The staff were friendly and used google translate with the language barrier. One complaint would be that the taxes were not quoted from agoda at time of booking or on the confirmation. That extra 21% changed the total cost a good amount. Other than that a great stay.

I was simply shocked by the extra mile the hotel went for making us extra comfortable. It's a stone throwaway to the bus station terminal, and just 2 minutes walk to the main street where you will find restaurants. Supermarket? 30 seconds away Very comfortable room, nice shower, good (needed) AC, very clean, a nice pool and simply excellent breakfast. The constant help we received from the staff just made our stay flawless.

We liked the location of the place, but found the place relatively expensive. They did provide pretty nice breakfast & a rustic ambience to the whole place. We just weren't too satisfied with one of the service of the front desk, who literally slam down the phone & ignored us when we decided not to take the taxi from them.
