Robe is a historical town on the South East coast of South Australia with spectacular, rugged coastline and beautiful long beach to walk or drive along.
The seafood caught by local fishermen is available in local restaurants and is delicious. A relaxing town to discover the history of Chinese Goldseekers in early years or just unwind from the stress of life.
We went in the off season and most things were closed and very little seafood Would go again but only between November and April
Robe is a very small town, just few kms to Kingston which is known for good lobster harvest when it is in good season (October to Dec) .
.beaches is nice ..best time to visit is summer,spring..
Robe is such a lovely little coastal town that I wish I had a holiday house there! And a boat! Seafood is absolutely fabulous (try the fish and chips shop near the 'Sails' restaurant and get value for money).
It is a coastal town with lots of beach access. It is very popular for families who like beach holidays.
In the summer holiday season it is a very busy place. For a relaxing getaway for a couple it is a very nice place to visit. There are also some other attractions within 2 hours drive close by underground caves mt Gambia blue lake and caves. If you prefer to stay by the sea but also like to do the odd day trip it is a good place to base yourself.
