"Staff was rude and unfriendly. Could not accommodate my family for an early check in after a 10 hour drive with a 92 year old passenger, kids, and dogs. They could not fulfill my reservation or needs and then couldn't even refund me by canceling because they could not accommodate us. They told me we would have to wait 5-8 hours to check in and then they left the desk and were not helpful in finding a solution. I waited for 15 min for them to come back and finally gave up dealing with them and decided to take the financial hit. I paid the cancellation fee and yet I am out 200 bucks. I will never use this website again or stay at a Pear tree Inn. "

"My wife and I traveled West on I-44. The motel is right at the exit. The desk clerk was very courteous and helped us locate a nice restaurant that serves wine. The hotel and room were in great shape - looking like recently completely remodeled. The room was large - it had a couch, a small table, a desk, a king bed, a refrigerator, two chairs. The TV had lots of options. The AC/heat unit was quiet and efficient, and you could leave the fan on continuously instead of cycling on and off. The bathroom was clean. The shower was hot and hearty. There was a sink outside the bathroom as well which came in handy since there were two of us traveling. Traffic noise from I-44? No! Not a bit - our room was on the back, shielded from the I-44 traffic noise. The breakfast room and free breakfast were very nice - sausages, omelets, waffles, fruits, juices, toast, cereal, sweet rolls, muffins, good coffee (hot)....more. Plenty of parking. If I could make one small criticism - there was only one luggage stand. When my wife and I travel, we each have a suitcase - so, a second luggage stand would be appreciated. But, really, I very rarely find two luggage stands at any hotel or motel. Why, I do not know. Overall, if you are traveling on I-44 and want a really pleasant, convenient, and comfortable place to stay, this is a great choice."
