Best hotels & accommodations in Santa Barbara (CA)

Perfectly located along the waterfront of Santa’s Barbara, this place is beautiful, with complimentary bikes, rooms tucked away in Spanish-like villa corridors and close to The Funk Zone as well as State street (Main Street). You can do everything you want to do in Santa Barbara while staying at Hotel Milo!

Stayed at this hotel for one night with my partner whilst in Santa Barbara. The location is perfect and right on sea front near the marina and within walking distance to nice restaurants and bars. We didn’t get a chance to go but I believe the main shopping area is a short drive/long walk away. We especially loved the free hour of both paddlebording and bike hire that...

Great place and always priced reasonably. Great staff. The hotel could use a little bit of an upgrade at this point, and the food was not what I would expect from this hotel. But the staff was excellent and accommodating and you can't beat being across the street from the beach with amazing views from the grounds and your room. Got married here over 9 year ago and the ...

Quality Inn was an ideal hotel for a one night stay in Santa Barbara. The room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. There was ample parking, a pool (although we didn't have time to try it) and the breakfast was nice, with lots of options. Downtown Santa Barbara was a little out of walking distance but a very simple drive down State Street.

This was our third time staying at the Eagle Inn. It holds a special place in our hearts since we celebrated my birthday here and got engaged while staying here. The staff at Eagle Inn are always super nice and accommodating. They let us upgrade to a room with a tub, which was wonderful. There's always little treats in the lobby area like chocolate covered strawberries...

Gorgeous small hotel rooms in beautifully kept grounds, in a lovely location in Santa Barbara (although be prepared for a 40 minute walk through downtown to the seafront). The staff are really lovely and super attentive, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in Plumstead Cottage, which is one of the little cabin style houses in the grounds. It’s small, but perfectly f...

We stayed at the Presidio for a couple of nights. It was in a great location, easy to get down to the restaurants on State St. The room was clean and comfy - though the bed felt more like a Double/Full than a queen. The sundeck was a nice touch. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Great location - walking distance from the beach/ wharf Very clean, cozy, and homey. I appreciate the little details that they made (folded towels and tissue) Vibrant courtyard Nice and friendly reception - thank you so much for the upgrade! Made our stay and my mom’s birthday more memorable. Value for money

hotel was great, location was awesome! there was a lot of loud music playing outside till after dark. but the room was ok and clean. breakfast was ok! the receptionist i had when i checked out was very friendly, i could store my luggage there for two hours as i had to wait for an amtrak train to la (which would depart in 3 hours).

Santa Barbara got some really expensive hotels, we was looking for a cheaper one and this was what we found. It was still kind of expensive I think because it was'nt really affordable for that kind of price. The hotel is a budgetplace and kind of old, but still clean. Nice, friendly staff, owned by a family,.

We loved Santa Barbara and this place was perfect for us. It was well located only about a 2 min walk from the waterfront. State street is probably a 10-15 min walk so super easy to get to. Although quickest route involves quite a few dark roads but even so, very easy to get everywhere. The man and woman on reception were so lovely. We loved them!! Room was nice and cl...

You can't really beat the location of this property. So classical California and with a Spanish twist and easy walking distance into the old downtown with good restaurants and funky shopping. Love the history of this place with the old train station nearby. The property is beautiful (as you would expect for a Four Seasons). Every single staff member obviously loved ...

The hostess is very attentive, she was cooking (and serving) breakfast for guests herself and also made sure to suggest places to see in Santa Barbara. The cottage rooms are nice, very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. Our stay was brief, only one night, but we had a good time at this charming B&B.

A loyal fan of the brand. But this location is rather disappointing! Even rooms at densely populated Hong Kong and Shanghai locations have more square footage than Santa Barbara property! And no central air conditioning either! Wouldn't recommend this hotel considering the price you would pay for

If you are looking for charming bed and breakfast like Inn near pier and wine streets in Santa Barbra, this is it. Bit pricy but lots of character and charm..... Good: santa barbra rustic style, friendly staff, great location, nice balcony Bad: bit pricy, no air conditioning. there was a tall slim fan. Nice romantic place...I would go back

This is really difficult to find a hotel in Santa Barbara. They are quite expensive and not suitable for a large family. La Quinta Inn & Suites Santa Barbara Downtown is the best as it has rooms with two queen beds and located in 20 minutes walk from downtown. When we were in this hotel it was pretty dirty due to the fire around Santa Barbara, so I can't judge about ho...

The room was smaller than I expected but very clean and comfy. A very quaint place with pleasant décor outside. What made this worthwhile is there was a glitch with booking but the manager worked it out and discounted me on my price as a way to make amends. Service like that is well praised and appreciated. My only con is being about 5 miles away from the action on st...

My wife and I were visiting our daughter in SB, and decided to spend the night rather than drive back to OC. The hotel was nice and comfortable. It is reasonably close to State Street and just off the 101. I gave it 3 stars for value for value for money only because I find hotels in SB to be higher priced than comparable CA cities. Overall, clean, comfortable, fri...

Traveler impressions of Santa Barbara (CA)
It was a wonderful place to relax. The State street is filled with so many restaurants and shops. I spent hours going into different shops and had so much fun! The people are generally friendly and kind! But the most importantly, the beach was so close from the city center, it was wonderful to spend time shopping and going to the beach to relax!
The city is not crowded and hectic, its a great place to study. But they have nice beaches that you might want to use as your jogging track.
My favorite European city in California ! Santa Barbara is a quaint, absolutely beautiful, artistic and fun city that can be done on foot.
Santa Barbara is a little city with beautiful views, a very good place to relax but not a place for excitements.
The downtown area where restuarants and shopping places are located. Lots of fun to walk around and not far from the beach.
