Sarasota (FL) hotels & places to stay

I would recommend this hotel to anyone!! The staff was so friendly the room was clean the pool area was amazing!! I will be returning to this exact place!

Paul the hospitable, friendly and happy employee, made me feel excited to stay there. He bumped our room up to a very newly renovated, room, with granite countertops for bathroom vanity, it had new full size microwave and refrigerater, with lots of room, it held a week's worth of food. The new bed provided both of us an amazing nights sleep. My back is broken in 2 spots and I woke pain free after crying myself to sleep. They serve an amazing full hot and cold breakfast, lots of choices and very tasty, and as much as you wanted, by a very friendly staff. They gave us a newly renovated room, with beautiful furnishings and a view out of the pretty window treatment, to step outside to another pretty view of the pool, nicely heated and immaculate, and a tiki hut full bar and restaurant, serving a good variety of cuisine, both American, and seafood, and signature appetizers with great music and dancing. Swimming in the wonderful pool permitted til 12am, under tiki torches! The best stay!!!

I would recommend it to a friend SORT OF! Negative points: 1. I had the ocean/swimming pool/harbor side, 10th floor with balcony and king bed. Basic room was fine, but bathroom sure was dated and pressure from shower pretty meek. 2. This quality of room and cost should have a mini bar. 3. The main floor bar is way too small for a hotel this size and especially if you are holding a convention. It closes at midnight which was ridiculous and it sure dissapointed a large grtoup of our conference and you lost a lot of income. When asked the manager apprently refused or ignored to change the hours. 4. Our conference was in the lower lobby area and rooms. The airconditioning made it too cold as most people had to wear sweaters or jackets and women complained they were "freezing". We asked the front desk if they would get it toned down and they said they would get the engineer to do it. They never did even when mentioned again or several times.

We have visited Lido Beach Resort many times. It is a wonderful location. However it seems to be becoming more and more expensive. Resort tax of $29 per day and parking at $15 per day. these are unwelcome extras now. The front of house staff are excellent and very helpful and the rooms are spacious but they are becoming less affordable if you want to spend any length of time there.

The room was very clean, stuff was great, breakfast was great, the guys who cook and work the breakfast buffet really care and are so friendly. The hotel is close to the main drag and makes everything convenient. For the price, this hotel is unbeatable

Building screaming for exterior painting, needs renovation soon. Please get rid of carpet in rooms and install some waterproof laminate, occupancy will double! Other than that it is perfect for my family scape to Sarasota for the weekend. I’ll be back soon

The best thing about the Sleep Inn is the location!! I could even walk to the airport! It's very convenience fot business person. Their service is excellent. At first, my room is leaking, she immediatly change a room for us.

The entrance to the hotel is a bit weird but once you figure it out it’s okay...inconvenient but okay. At check in, the staff didn’t know I had free breakfast nor that I already paid the resort fee. They made me feel tad uncomfortable but luckily I had enough foresight to print and highlights the booking details. Other than that, it was smooth sailing. The hotel is in the perfect location! My husband and I walked a ton. There is also a shuttle that takes you up to 3 miles from the hotel. Another great perk is the workout gear rental. I forgot my running shoes and was able to rent a nice pair for $5.

One of the best beds I've been during our road trip! King size room was wide and clean, great hotel at some minutes by car from Siesta key. Great value, totally recommended

The hotel and our room were very clean and spacious. The employees were so friendly, polite , and helpful. Nice outdoor sitting area by the pool. Great place !

Decided we wanted to stay at Siesta Key last minute but did not want to pay $400 and up per room. This was a good option as it was not far from Siesta Key and there weren’t many frills but it was a nice hotel at a good price.

The hotel never received our reservation from Agoda, even though Agoda sent an email confirmation to me. Agoda also didnt process the payment, even though they said they would. Despite all this, the manager found us a room at the right rate. It was clean, and comfortable, right in the middle of all our activities. Even though there is some renovation going on, it didn't affect us too much. The pool was nice, however the fitness room only had a few pieces of equipment and there was no control for the tv in that room. All in all, I would recommend the hotel, just not through agoda.

Very friendly staff, Rooms are good size for every need with comfy beds. Enjoy a day at the pool after free buffet breakfast. The place is very clean and has everything you maybe forgot.. Thank You Staff great work

This hotel is in a good location.. siesta key , longboat key Anna Marie island all only half hour or less away . Nice pool and staff friendly.. Rooms need upgrading . Overall good value for the money

Excellent location, facilities, staff. The usual niceties I always find at a Hampton Inn. One recommendation I have: More waffle irons needed for breakfast. Only one present. It made a long waiting annoying line. Very exasperating to many guests, including me.

A little to far out of town, but excellent hotel. You need a car to get around. There is a bus into town which is on time. Good room rates for the area.

Hotel was very expensive when booked for early March but the hotel is very modern and staff is attentive. Room was a king bed with nice shower, desk, coach and small frig. Pillows were very soft and made for an uncomfortable sleep for two nights.

The vacation we had planned was interrupted by red tide, Dead fish washing up on the shore. My wife and I spent 5 days at Lido Beach during this time with the option of turning back and going home. At the end of our stay we were checking out and presented a bill for $150.00 extra than or agreed price. My wife spoke with a manager and explained thet we were not informed of the new charges. The manager huffed and said that all guest of the hotel were charged this fee and we should have known. Nowhere in the hotel were signs of this charge and what they were used for. The manager said he would waive it this time but we would have to pay next time. I called corporate and they assigned a case number but no one has called. I have never posted a bad review for any business but this is no right. The charge was not explained until the last minute. My wife and I have been staying at this particular hotel for the last 10 years. We booked on Agoda and feel as though we were second class citizens.

Not a beach front hotel so get that out of the way. Very easy access to theaters, St Armands key and old town Sarasota. Hotel spotless, rooms comfortable and quiet. Good restaurant for breakfast. Free and ample parking. Fast free wifi...very friendly, concierge level staff. This is a gem and we will stay here again.

I'm a former artist (made my living as an artist for many years). I gave that up for a career in technology. I rarely stay in hotels, but the art did, in fact, draw me in. And it will again. The hotel staff are wonderful, noticeably more chipper and engaging that most places I visit though. Rooms are great, each with a little flair most hotels don't have.

Nice bedding,clean and location was perfect. Only complaint was noise in the middle of the night but not the Hotels fault, it was Spring Break.

Pros: Great price, nice amenities, there was a large mini fridge and a microwave, good location, clean facilities free WiFi, and a complimentary breakfast. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Cons: Old building, worn out trim and ceiling insulation.

Sign said newly remodeled and rooms were neat and clean. The breakfast , included, was a little light compared to some but more than adequate. Prices were way better than others in the area, we were there 4 nights to catch some Spring Training games. With some of the higher priced chains wanting over$200/night, the Super 8 was a great bargain at$99 and gave us exactly what we needed. I’ll definately try them again next year.
