Best accom in Smithton but located some distance from the centre of town. Very quite and lovely lawn surrounds

Lovely cottage. Secluded and private. loved the outdoor bath. Fire was great for warming up the house. Generous amount of bacon for breakfast!

Comfortable room and bed. Bedding needs updated... higher grade sheets and a lightweight duvet would have been appreciated. We were in room 2, which is very noisy as it is on the main road and right opposite the late night pizza takeaway. Great shower with basic amenities. Breakfast was disappointing. It is advertised as a 'Bed and Breakfast, so we expected a cooked breakfast in the communal kitchen. What we got was a tray left in our room with cold cereal and milk, juice, fruit, coffee and tea. We never did receive any info about how to check in and there was no one on the premises when we arrived. When we called the number on the door, it was answered promptly and we were given instructions re keys. Compared to our other accommodation thus far, it wasn't the best. Note that the business/ building has' for sale' signs in the front yard, which might explain some of the above issues.

Exceeded our expectations. Located at the end of the street where the main town ship is, but privately located up a steep hill this bed and breakfast has the best views of Smithton and Duck River. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of sparkling wine, soft cheese and crackers on arrival which was a lovely and unexpected surprise. Views are available from every room, bedroom, bathroom and living area. Short distance to Stanley, walking distance to Smithton township. The accommodation is super clean, well appointed with everything that you could possibly want from your stay. Rooms are equipped with fans, heaters, heated towel rack, even down to magazines and green tea t’bags, there has been a lot of thought put into the fit out of rooms and accommodation and a tremendous amount of attention to detail. Nice toiletries, soft luxurious towels, lovely bed linen, well set out, spectacular views - Can’t fault in any way.

We stayed in Rosebank, a good sized two bedroom cottage, for two nights. Very homely and in a quiet, rural location. We appreciated the fresh, home made bread that was waiting for us on arrival and the comfortable good sized bed. The owner's house is close by but apart from at check in and a wave across the lovely lawn area, we didn't notice them. Situated between Smithton and Stanley the location is perfect for exploring the North West of Tasmania.

Just the best value meal, a fantastic variety of main courses, beautifully cooked and presented for just $10, sweets only $1.99 and also delicious. Very friendly helpful waitresses. Comfy bed.
