Traveler impressions of South Goa

More about South Goa

South Goa is located in the southern part of India’s Goa State, with coastlines along the Arabian Sea and enough beaches to last a long vacation. South Goa is served by Dabolim Airport, which is located near Bogmalo and within easy access of the rest of South Goa’s long stretch of beaches and coastline hotels.

Of course, the main activity when in South Goa is to mostly do nothing other than relax, but if the relaxing by the sea gets to be a little too boring, head to the small bit of excitement and entertainment often found at Palolem Beach, which offers some of South Goa’s most exciting nightlife.

South Goa is frequented by those seeking a much calmer and relaxed vacation than what is found on North Goa, and the area features some of the nicest beaches and luxury resorts in this region. Off the beach, there’s more to see around town in South Goa, including cultural centers such as the Ancestral Goa Museum, as well as important temples and a stunning waterfall at Dudhsagar Falls. The museum is definitely worth leaving the coastline to explore, as it houses some of the heritage and history of Goa, as well as showing off the current culture and craft of the area.
