Still a good place to go to. Cold, enjoyable view, friendly residents, a very organized city. However, it is slowly being developed, subdivisions/villages are being built, in some there are plans to build a high rise condominium or hotel.
When these projects are done, expect heavy traffic and noise, pollution even from air to trash. But I guess a city has to find ways to earn income other than tourism, especially now that Tagaytay City is well connected to Batangas; Cavite; Sta. Rosa, Laguna; and Calamba, Laguna. The roads to Laguna are not well used yet but when people move in it will be. To Tagaytay, I hope you can keep the place as it is now, a tourist destination with all the views. Don't copy your neighboring towns, making theirs look like the National Capital Region.
The views over the lake are spectacular, The traffic getting there was terrible! It took us over four hours on a Friday afternoon to go from Manila airport to Tagaytay, the traffic was nose-to-tail all the way.
During the day the roads were very busy and getting around was slow.
Overated as a tourist location. Once you've seen the view there is nothing much else to do. The roads are badly lit at night so driving is dangerous, the traffic was mainly at a stop as the roads are narrow.
It can take an hour to cover a mile in order to get too a restaurant.
There's an entrance fee to almost everything, from Sky Ranch, to Picnic Grove and Palace in the Sky. The entrance fee is just being pocketed as no developments or improvements are being done in the area.
Tagaytay is a nice place, EXCEPT the traffic jam! I hope government can do something about it. Its a down fall, I hope transportation in tagaytay can keep up with the progressive state of the city now.
Tagaytay used to be a place where people from Manila can escape the heat in the metro. However, in our recent trip, Tagaytay's climate is not as cold as it used to be.
Even with the rain and even during the evenings. Save your thick clothing for Baguio.
Tagaytay has been my weekend getaway everytime I'm in Manila. It's a short and easy drive from Metro Manila once the scenery changes from city to open spaces.
Tagaytay is a place to recharge, visit quaint gardens & organic farms, bed & breakfast, spa, meditation and religious retreats. The weather and tempo changes when you are in Tagaytay; the scenery promotes relaxation and the cool breeze refreshes the body. Fruit stands abound; food selection range from Filipino favorites to gourmet selection. Next time, I'll stay longer.
It is a relaxing place to go especially during the cold weather. There are places of interest for eating, relaxing, prayer and fun for the family.
Everything is nice in Tagaytay especially their Bulalo! The bad thing about this place is ----- moderate to heavy traffic regardless of the date.
Great weekend getaway and place to unwind. Very accessible and just an hour drive (or even less depending on traffic condition) from Manila.
Nice weather and lots of park and activity for the whole family, A romantic place for couples, excellent for sightseeing and dining.
It is a nice place to saty. Weather is good and people are friendly. Many stores where you can get souvenir items for gifts.
Restaurants are all around the place. You have various selections from carinderia ar the Mahogany market to fine dining restaurants. There are many places to visit and explore.
If you want to recuperate or just relax, this is a good place to stay. There are a lot places to visit and do activities with.
The people are great, but the traffic is building up so you have to be ready.
Tagaytay is a very nice city with friendly natives. A very ideal place for people looking for some time to retreat and unwind.
This is a beautiful place. People are very friendly, helpful, accommodating. Lots of quality restaurants to choose from.
Select those that are not available elsewhere. I feel safe and relaxed in this place. If you have the opportunity, go now before development (big hotel chains, condominiums, theme parks, etc. proliferates and cast a shade over the pure natural beauty of this place. Experience this place the way God made it before man-made developments give it a different face. Don't miss the splendor of the Museo Orlina just inside Hollywood Subd. Be amazed by Orlina's creative genius. Go! 😄
super city near Manila. nice climate, pleasant people, interesting dining areas and just right amount of recreation.
traffic is bad though
Fantastic! So close to Metro Manila yet gives an ambience of relaxation and renewal! Great place to unwind and relax
Family bonding is great with good food, nice weather and great for relaxation. Horrible traffic during holidays
I have been to Tagaytay for, I can say, hundreds of times, since I live just about an hour away from the place.
I've never grown tired of going here from time to time to relax and take a break from all the stress. There are still a couple of new places to try that are quite secluded and are perfect for those who'd want to spend some quality time with their special someone. 😊
Tagaytay is no longer Tagaytay. With the photobomber of condos and malls, this is not a place to relax anymore.
The place is hot now probably because of trees being cut to give way to the condos :(
Nice hill top with the view of crater lake. So many hotel option along the main road and facing the volcano.
One of the best vacation spots in the Philippines. There are a lot of places to go to and activities to do.
Not to mention a lot of good food places.
Tagaytay has to maintained in terms of its natural environment. Traffic has to be improved during weekends.
Not much of a night life. starting to be over crowded. I recommend to provide tourist assistance booths area for foreigners or 1st time goers. Need to improve street lights and traffic systems.
do not go during holidays or long weekends as the city tends to get overcrowded and traffic builds quickly.
best to go on regular days and/or at night to feel the cool breeze.
Good transportation terrible traffic, hotels over priced typical tourist trap without the infrastructure.
Great climate therefore tourist destination.
What a heart-warming stay. Can't get enough of Tagaytay. Every stay gets better. Love your sunflowers!
a nice getaway near the city. good and delectable food choices. relaxing weather. freshest market finds.
religious sanctuary. cozy spas. numerous overlooking hotels
A nice place to visit, lots of development in the area, good view of taal. Nice food and lots of resto.
