Just What I Wanted!”
The accommodation is somewhat dated and old fashioned. Don't expect a shiny new hotel but it has character. I found the "guest house feel" relaxing and homely. My room had a ceiling fan but no working aircon. The sea views from my balcony were fantastic. You can enter the sea from the property but it is not directly on a beach. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. However, the hotel is also conveniently located for car and scooter drivers. The housekeepers did a good job although, given the age, design and location of the property, the effect cannot be sparklingly clean looking. Overall, the hotel suited me very well.

Not for guests”
A nice couple run this but there is washing absolutely everywhere and it's very run down. Good seafront positioning and near airport. Needs massive work to be guest-ready.

Great for short airport stays”
I had a one day stop in Mauritius so I was looking for a place close to the airport. This place was ideal for this. There was a patio overlooking the sea. The staff arranged for a driver from a good local restaurant to come to pick me up as I arrived late. I spent the next day walking around the town. Everything's close so it was a nice relaxing day before heading back to the airport. PS - The maps show it on the wrong side of the street. It is on the ocean side of the road.

Nice place for a couple of nights but dont expect a warm welcome.”
I stayed here for 5 nights and the hotel itself is very nice. Big rooms and clean. The pool is on the small side but big enough for the needs of the guests as the sea isn't really suitable for swimming there. Its a 10 minute walk into town to the shops, market, bus station and other restaurants. The hotel doesnt serve any meals except breakfast which after a few days is a bit monotonous - large bread roll, banana, plain yoghurt, jam, cheese triangle, fruit juice out of a carton and tea or coffee. No variation in the 5 nights I was there. They also advertise a laundry service - on asking about it I was told no they don't and nor does anyone else in the town. When I suggested thet they take that out of the advert I was spoken to quite rudely by the man who seemed to be wandering around managing the place. I somehow got off on the wong foot with the owners very early on which made things tense but I noticed they weren't particularly friendly to anyone else either. Nice hotel, shame about the people running it.

Good choice I made ”
It is basicly the lowest price I can booked in Mauritius. The Coco provides breakfast with bread, yogurt, juice, coffee, they get swimming pool, sunrise that you can catch it around 5:30am, very nice ! I m also like the location, just 30mins from airport buy bus to Mahebourg. Less tourist in Mahebourg which is good for me as I was just run away from crowds.

Good value guest house”
Helpful & friendly staff, good value, sea view
This Guest House worked out well for what we wanted, being close to the airport and Mahebourg and we only stayed for 3 days before moving on as planned to other parts of the island. The place is starting to look a little jaded and needs some refurbishment, but apart from that it is fine and if you accept that you get what you pay for you will have a pleasant stay. Breakfast is basic, but the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful.

Slightly worn, but full of character”
Plunge pool, garden, views
I really enjoyed my stay at Coco Villa. It was only one night, but the location is great and the people very friendly. In some ways it feels more like a home stay than a hotel. It's definitely budget (and I think a little overpriced for what it offers), but it's full of local character and Mahebourg itself feels far more real than many other Mauritian towns.

Good Budget Hotel with very limited options”
Very Good Location and View from Hotel
I booked the Suit room which was on the 2nd floor with amazing view of the Sea. Room was OK but Geyser to get hot water in the Bathroom is an instance geyser and make a lot of noise and difficult to use. Bathing area is also little bit small but overall bathroom was OK. It seems they need to do the paste control for Ants. They were everywhere. Even near the pool area they didn't allow us to have food, they attacked on my beer also. Best part of the hotel is Sea view from hotel and its location which is very close to market. But market closes by 6 PM and its dark outside (Hardly any street light) so you don't have much to do there. Not so many options to have dinner but surrounding area is safe.

Beautiful aging hotel close to the sea”
Garden overlooking the sea - amazing location, especially for sunrise
Coco Villa is an aging hotel on the waterfront in Mahebourg, and it's fair to say that it is showing its age a bit. The price is relatively low, the hotel looks great, and the rooms are large, but the rooms are also a bit unloved (the ceiling was dripping, the bed was very hard). On the other hand, the garden and the views are incredible. Being in Mahebourg is nicer than being in a town mainly catering for tourists.
