Relaxing time here on a final nights stay in Brazil before heading back home. We stayed in Copacabana for the first part of our trip and that was much better situated to see and do everything in Rio.

This is a beautiful hotel, with friendly staff and great facilities. The location is perfect. Beautiful, central and safe. The only issue was the WiFi which was weak and spotty a lot of the time. My husband and I had a great stay. And would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to São Paulo.

I really can't say enough great things about this hotel. If you have a chance to stay here, do it! The only downfall was that we only booked one night and wish we could have stayed longer. The price per night of this hotel is high, but worth every penny. It is charming and offers all the services of a five-star hotel and spa without ever being pretentious. The food is exquisite....it is a true dining experience. The spa is wonderful and offers a wide range of services...you feel very well taken care of and the atmosphere is relaxing and calm. The pool is lovely and has tables set nearby for dining. The rooms are on the smaller side, but are nice and cozy with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is covered with beautiful blue tiles and has great bath products to use. We were upgraded to a room with a partial view because of availability, but most rooms with a view still have the falls partially hidden by trees. Internet is fast and included. Breakfast buffet has a wide array of options. The hotel is close to the airport. At most a 10 minute cab ride to the front park entrance and from there a shuttle from the hotel takes you the rest of the way. The location of the hotel is superb with a beautiful panorama of the falls just off the front entrance of the hotel. First thing in the morning, at sunrise, it is quiet, serene, and simply impressive. Check out the view first thing in the morning before tour buses arrive and at sunset after the tour buses leave. You will most likely be the only one out there to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the falls. I would stay here again in a heartbeat...for the charming hotel architecture and decor, the genuinely kind and hospitable service, the privacy to view the falls with few others around, the lovely spa, beautiful pool area, and the amazing food and drinks experienced at every meal. This hotel has it all....it is in a league of its own.

First time to comment on any hotel, Grand Hyatt São Paulo is great in so many ways: staff, location, the gym. However, the internet (WiFi) was not good during our stay, which could be embarrassing for business travelers. But, really appreciate all the staff that helped us to solve the WiFi issue.

Great, grat location for the New Year's evening, the fireworks were just in front of the hotel. Very kind, helpful and friendly staff, always ready to help you with anything. Gorgeous view of Copacabana and the surrounding beauties from the top of the hotel. Opulent and delicious breakfast. Most landmarks, grocery stores and gift shops are near by. Definitely will recommend the place and will come back again, despite the little higher New Year's eve rates, which is understandable since Copacabana is one of the most beautiful experiences in the world! Good area. Safe to walk around. Helpful well-trained staff. Beautiful lobby. Expensive hotel and irritatingly they charge for wifi. Also charge a fine if you take and lose an umbrella! Hotel Resto in beautiful space but food not great. Not awful, just rather mediocre. Lots of good Restos in Sao Paolo so better to eat out.

There is only one aspect I can be critical of at this hotel, and that is their charging an exorbitant price for wifi, this is a relic of days gone by and has no place today. All my friends staying at other hotels said they have free wifi. Otherwise, my stay there was excellent

Most of common corporate hotels are somewhat in safe segment of stay in a way. I've chosen Melia Paulista Hotel because of location but, was not sure about the service, quality, or any other informations. 1. Location is just perfect in the middle of Paulista avenue being able to be in walkable distant to all key areas; downtown, Jardine, and Penheiro...etc. Sao Paulo is one of utmost largest city but, you can definitely walk to all of key areas. 2. Starting off with cup of espresso at the lobby, all of sudden every hotel staffs are your friends. Yes, everyones are very nice. 3. Hotel room is very simple not fancy but, very clean and comfortable. Moreover, you can open the window to get a cool breath into your room. I mostly chose boutique hotels or business hotels among all corporate membership card but, I will always go back to Melia Paulista Hotel Sao Paulo for sure. Enjoy everyone.

This has been one of the best hotels I have stayed in Brasil. Tired of the old hotels in Rio and the to business-oriented ones in São Paulo, I went to Brasilia and stayed in the Melia 21. Very good, only disapointed with the swimming pool. all the rest was of excelent level.

The staff was super friendly. We arrived at 7 am and although checking wasn’t until noon, they accommodated us, and gave us a different room, since we had an overnight flight and were really tired. They were always willing to assist, and just super friendly. The hotel is more like an updated motel, in my opinion, it’s a little dated, but it did the job for our 4 nights/5 days in Rio.

this is my business trip, price is not cheap but Sheraton is a world wide hotel, so the services has guarantee, this is the first time i being this hotel, that is near by the beach, just the room a little bit small but it can accept, around the hotel place is beatiful, restaurant is very good!!

Breakfast was just Average for this Grade of the hotel. and I expected more English speaking staff than they actually had. The pool was too small but good relaxing and quiet. Other than that is was great they put us on the top floor and the room was good although it was not noise proof enough. The wind and sound from outside can get a bit annoying if you want a good night sleep sometimes. Nice Gym and Business Centre, Great Views of the ocean. the only 5 start Hotel in Town.

I visited Sao Paulo for a short city break and the InterContinental was recommended by a friend as she has stayed previously and enjoyed her stay. The hotel have friendly staff who were always willing to help, the hotel is clean and ht ebed is comfortable. Good location with easy access to the city centre, I would stay here again.

Location was good and price was reasonable. Meager amenities and even the promised facilities like fitness center were out of order for the duration of our stay. House keeping was slow and lacked attentiveness, if we didn’t make a special request at reception for our room to be cleaned we often got back to the hotel in the late afternoon/early evening to a room that hadn’t been cleaned.

Hotel is close to airport and close to Brazilian side of the Iguacu falls. Breakfast was excelent, room was clean, Wifi worked ok, there was a pool, agency where you can book a trip, a bar and a restaurant for dinner. It is hard to find someone who speak english (except at the reception). The problem is that you need a taxi to get anywhere (to the shops, other restaurants, city centre,...).

It was very good. The only let down was none of the staff or even reception could speak Fluent English. Expect more from a 4 star hotel located next to probably the most visited Tourist destination in Brazil. Room service was poor and it took 3 attempts to request and iron and board until a waiter turned up with a Menu card. At which point, I gave up and went out in crushed clothes. Service is at snail pace and not always with a smile. Then maybe I am just spoilt and this is the standard in Brazil. The room I had was clean but the bath room was dated. Beds are comfortable and common areas are clean (carpeted areas are looking tired). I would recommend this hotel for the location and it's peaceful surroundings. Will stay here again.

love this small intimate, romantic hotel with english speaking staff. service is excellent. staff in restaurant are a credit to the hotel management business and are an example of how to serve and please customers. can't praise them enough. hope the owners of this place take note and give credit where credit is due...they certainly deserve a good raise in salary!!! hotel price is way over what one would expect in this country. have travelled worldwide and can honestly say its over the top.

Don’t think twice about going to Rio, we never felt threatened or in any danger, on the contrary the people were the sweetest, most helpful you could hope to encounter. By booking with Agoda we saved a fortune compared with the hotels own website or travel agent prices and breakfast was included. (With others it would have been £50 per day for the two of us.) Copacobana palace is one of ‘The Leading Hotels of the World’ and part of the Orient Express group and although we booked a ‘standard’ grade room and therefore expected a view of the bins they did give us some sort of ‘upgrade.’ The room was hardly plush and not ‘posh’ as we had wanted. The only outstanding feature of the room was the remote controlled T.V. rising out of a unit at the foot of the bed, a comical 80’s throwback. There was limited hanging space, with no door in the huge bathroom so the damp air from the shower or bath got to all your clothes. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, a big buffet but not worth £50. We tried both the restaurants, the Pergula and the Cipriani. In the Pregula there wasn’t a great choice, as vegetarians we ended up with omelette and chips, and it was vastly over priced. The Cipriani did live up to expectations, the setting was beautiful and the staff were lovely. One, risotto, dish was very good but the other was a lifeless pasta parcel stuffed with tasteless mashed potato and cheese, a let down. The waiters were attentive and unobtrusive. The birthday celebration: ‘Happy Birthday’ on the piano with the arrival of a small cake and candle was just the right side of 'cringey.' It might have the largest pool in Rio and be available to guests 24 hours but it was not an attractive place to sit. All the staff were friendly but managed not to hover obviously waiting for tips although at breakfast once guests left their tables there was a race amongst the waiters to get to the table first hunting for cash.

The Sofittel Rio De Janeiro is an excellent hotel. It is located in the best spot you can ask for - just on the border btween Impanema beach and Copa Cabana. You can walk few minutes only in order to enjoy each one of them. The view from most of the roomms is stunning, the staff is very freindly and speaks perfect English. The breakfasr next to the pool and infront of the ocean are lovely.

The hotel is ideal if you have an event at the Conference Center. It is also opposite a shopping center. However it is far from the beach. Staff does not have second language skills and restaurant menu is quite simple

The hotel room wasnt ready. There was no towels in the bathroom as we had to request for it. Also, the bed wasnt well prepared as their blanket was just a sheet of thin linen without actual blanket. The blankets were in the closet. The hotel didnt provide any free bottles of water and they charged over priced, about USD 3-4 per bottle (approx 250ml).

My stay at the Atlante Plaza was very pleasant. I arrived late at night and was greeted by a courteous and kind staff. My check-in was processed quickly and I was escorted by the bell man to a room. When we arrived, I realized it was a smoking floor (they never asked my preference during check-in) but when I commented on the strong scent, the bell man was empowered to fix the situation quickly and moved me into a non-smoking floor. The hotel itself is very modest, but it is right across the street from the beach. I took advantage of the proximity to go for a jog along the sand in the morning and found that the hotel had a definite beach-y feel. This hotel is substantially akin in quality to other non-luxury hotels in beach towns where patrons are looking for a place to sleep but have no other expectations of comforts and pampering, aside from a great view and convenient access to the water.
