Excellent resort and great for the entire family. I would not settle for anything less. A definite 5 star facility. The hot springs were awesome and the Club Rio excursions were fun. Food was expensive though. I wish they offered an all inclusive price.

In our trip through Costa Rica, my dad and I repeated the place because we like it lots! the staff, the cleanliness, the facilities, the breakfast (included), the swimming pool area.... I would go again, thank you!

We ended our Costa Rica trip here, and loved coming to a modern, clean, beautiful place. The surrounding area is old, and a bit dirty (it's downtown San Jose), yet this is a little Oasis of greatness right in the middle of everything that you can see in San Jose (as there's not too much to see). Staff was very friendly, and the Hotel itself was quite nice.

Westin playa conchal Stay from 1/9-1/14 Room overrun by ants - asked them to spray but that didn't do anything. Ants were all over the sink and the wall. Tried to use our own spray which helped some but ants were back all over by the end of the week Got food poisoning on the first night that landed me in my room the whole next day. Didn't give us the Costa Rica resident rate even though we told them we were residents. It was $750 discount. Generally believe we were over charged but hope to hear from the hotel next Tuesday. Kids didn't get the things that were supposed to be included in the family suite like the kids bathrobes and slippers and kid amenity pack. Pizza lunch by the pool took 1 hour on Friday

It was not good the first night. We had to stay in the handicap room after we booked a suite. It was very awkward and we were there on our honeymoon, but for work at the Walmart Expo. We literally did not even want to be there the first night. We had a bunch of work to do before our event and were extremely tired and only had a small desk and did not even supply a pin to write with. Then the hangers could not be taken out of the closet so I could put it in the bathroom while I showered. Your staff was nice enough to bring us one when we requested and in the end I think it was just a very busy time in Costa Rica. I am not so upset though as I am pretty sure we will be reimbursed Today for the first night and it I am not sure whose fault it was we were given that room. After we got our suite we were fine as the staff was nice and the food was not bad. We were not even in the hotel very long as we were working most of the time so we did not get to see much.

Everything was excellent, except for the fact that we had phoned a day ahead to ask if we could leave some of our luggage at the hotel for 2 nights before our stay while we headed up to the volcanoes and were told that it definitely would not be a problem. Upon arriving we were told that was not true and that we would not be able to leave the luggage there. We did end up agreeing for us to leave a bit there. I believe the hotel should have upheld it’s original commitment.

I enjoyed the stay here! great views from the hills, and there is a driving path to the top of the property with amazing views. Good breakfast and the hot tubs and slides are alot of fun. Tiles in the bathroom were broken and the bathroom needs an update, not bad but old

They didn't have a standard room ready so they upgraded us to business class. The staff spoke good English and were helpful when we asked them for assistance. We ate at the resturant and the food was superb. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Pool was so freezing that our kids cried. We had reserved 2 nights based on the pool so was a major disappointment. The gym only had 3 pieces of equipment and a few weight balls. Would be nice to have another treadmill (we waited multiple times) and some free weights. The staff was amazing- very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is also one of the best I’ve seen as far as selection so it was nice to start out the day with a great meal. The location was nice in that it was close to the airport but terrible location in terms of being able to do anything within walking distance. If you just need a place to get to the airport I would recommend this hotel. If you are there to spend time in the pool with a family, I would look elsewhere.

This hotel was awesome except for one thing. It doesn't have a pool. Other than that it was great!

The rooms a spacious und very clean, we srayed with our two kids 9 and 12 at the 10th floor with a great view on San Jose. The highl for our boys was definitely the indoor pool on the third floor. Of all included breakfasts in Costa Rica during our three weeks journey this one was absolutely the best.

Thought a return to airport area eould alliw a smooth transport to jaco..so i chose the hilton...while there i was very impressed the most with guys out front...a a plus group Prfessional Treating you with concern care..a number one group... Even the guy in coffee shop...i am age 71 hard to walk and he saw me stopling ast the short ramp in the lobby..immediately he ran to help me..didnt stand and watch..he was there hto prevent me getting hurt..wow was i impressed and then bought two pastries from him Thanks hilton...

Highly recommend Relax Natural Village. It's a lovely little place with a group of beautiful bungalows. Very private, very clean. Breakfast was great every day and Christian was an amazing host.

FIRST time staying at Hotel Mango. Chose it because of close proximity to SJO Airport as my sister had an early morning flight the next day. We had stayed up the street at the Holiday Inn Express upon arrival to San Jose and liked the location but decided to find something more affordable. Hotel Mango is a smaller, gated property. Much more quaint and Tico style than the American chain two blocks away. The woman at front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The common areas and our room were clean and comfortable. Will recommend Hotel Mango.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay in Jaco for 4 night and we got lucky with the weather. Jaco Laguna Resort was only satisfactory compared to our hotel in Manuel Antonio. I thought that the JLR was okay, nothing great, nothing terrible. PROS: - SUNSET, SUNSET, SUNSET. Did I mention the SUNSET. - Location on south end of Jaco's beach with calmer waters and nice soft sand. You can walk from hotel to beach in seconds. - Friendly staff with nice bar/restaurant steps from the sand. CONS: - Cannot flush toilet paper. Not the end of the world, but just an adjustment. - Shared balconies. We were unable to hang some of our wet clothes. Hope this helps.

Hyatt Hotels are always nice, but I was truely empressed with this one. It was located in a great plaza with lots of nice restaurants and other facilities nearby. Everything was excellent except that the orange and pineapple juice at the breakfast bar was not made from fresh fruit and tasted terrible!

This place is a place you dont want to leave. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great view. Very good breakfast. Large rooms, good beds.... everything is perfect. But the best: They can take you on horseback riding tours, ATV tours, night walks with their own staff using their own facilities. One of the best hotels I stayed inn for many years. I recommend staying there and will do the same if back in CR.

Cannot beat the views - each room, situated at the base of the volcano offers stunning views. Rooms were much larger than appears in photos. Amazing service from staff - have never been treated so nicely and professionally. Very secure - gated security at entrance. Close to major attractions. Included buffet breakfast of tasty meats, egg station, fruits, along with lovely local cuisine. Though higher price point, you get what you pay for - perfect for a special splurge.

This hotel is located a good distance from the little town, however, the grounds are absolutely beautiful, lots of flowers, birds and butterflies and a great view of the Volcano. Breakfast is great with lots of choices and local dishes included. If you want to experience hot springs, you have to go to specialized hot springs locations like Ecothermales and Tabacon. The hot springs at the hotel Arenal Manoa is only a warm pool, nothing to write home about. The food at the restaurant is okay and reasonably priced. You need to take a taxi to get into the town where there are lots of restaurants, supermarkets, souvenir shops etc.

Unit was full of aunts. They were on the chairs, and bit us when we unknowingly sat down on the chairs. Worst was waking up with bed bug bites all over body.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. From the dedicated and outrageously helpful staff, to the fantastic little cottage with a massive clean bathroom with loads of space to put your toiletries.. the hot water was HOT and the pressure excellent. They proved a hair drier which was so helpful. I loved my room, two double beds and a good sized fridge and plenty of space to hang clothes and shelves so you could really feel at home. Having the pool and kitchen was great, and the space outside was comfortable. It felt so safe and as a single woman so protected. They have 3 lovely cats that are supper friendly and this just ads to the homely feeling of the place. I will stay here again

Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The staff is fantastic, helping us to arrange dinners and other things. Also the hotel is across the street from one of the best restaurants in San Jose.

We are huge fans of AM resorts (Dreams, Secrets, etc.) and Costa Rica. This is our 3rd visit to this beautiful country and its kind sweet people. . Imagine our disappointment... This resorts is incredibly mismanaged. The workers in their majority look unhappy which probably explains the poor quality of service we received. The food and liquor are below the company standard which we experienced in many visits in Mexico and Dominican Republic. Some of which include: - Poor service at the Worlds Cafe - Many family and others as well finished breakfast without getting our coffee. Some people just got up and left. - Closed restaurants without prior notice. We had reservations due to our large family group only to find out upon our arrival that management had decided to close 2 restaurants last minute for the evening. We received no call to warn us or gives up alternatives prior to us showing up which added a wait time of 1 1/2 hours. - Limited water sports equipmt. - Poor house keeping.

Brought our 1 and 3 year old and loved breakfast, walks to the beach and coming back to a refreshing pool. The staff more professional than at any establishment we've seen in Costa Rica. Restaurant had reservations! That's a great sign for a place off the beaten path. It is quite the scene. They could use an easier high chair, but that's all I can say! It was great!

My girlfriend and I stayed here after 5 days in Tamarindo. I read reviews and had heard good things but did not know what to expect. How happy I was that I booked at TRYP! Staff was attentive and friendly. Hotel location was relatively off the beaten path so there was no excess noise on a Friday night. The room was HUGE! Room service was good (but not billable to my room for some reason). International calls were free and so was the WIFI which was fast. Breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of options and went until 10AM. Checkout was at noon. The only critique I have is that an airport shuttle was not included in the price of the room. The front desk staff called us a cab for a charge of $27.00 US dollars and we made it to the airport quickly and with plenty of time to make our flight. All in all, a great experience all around!

If you're staying a night in Liberia to rest up from your travel day... it's perfect. they pick you up from the airport and the son was waiting for me at the outside gate. the family is very pleasant, the rooms very clean and had all the things you need for a night... a/c, fan, cable, hot showers... and the villa is only 1km from the central park area. they even have a coffee/breakfast spread for you in the morning and can book tours for you in the morning. i will definately be staying here when i fly back to canada
