My stay at the hotel coincided with the staging of the Rally Isle of Man and on the night of my arrival, a staff member informed me that my booking had been cancelled. A room was automatically made available to me with my only criticism being the sagging mattress on the bed. No tea and coffee making facilities and had to walk to the end of a corridor for toilet & bathing facilities. The hotel is antiquated and reaching the ground floor was a bit like working your way through a maze, but that wasn't a problem for me. Staff with whom I interacted during my five days there were pleasant and the proprietor should be complimented on the way she handled breakfast orders across a few very busy mornings. Many other establishments charge separately for breakfast, but here it was included as part of the price paid for the accommodation. My main concern here with this hotel was other guests prone to talking loudly at any time of the night, the furniture removal training school in the room above and people smoking right outside the entrance. The only other issue which I wish to raise is that many of the toilets situated outside rooms don't have a basin or other place where you can wash your hands. Trevelyan may not be one of the best hotels in Douglas and it is rare to see anybody on the reception desk, but for the price charged it represents quite good value for money

Would stay in this hotel again, got an upgrade to a sea view-room was lovely bright and spacious with a super view. Room at the back of the hotel was tiny so be warned.

Had a 3 night stay to visit the island. Spotlessly clean, attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble. Had an evening meal one night in the bar which was excellent. Room 9 highly recommended although it is on the top floor.

The hotel is nicely located by the seashore and sea room views are good. Breakfast in th verandah is fine and freshly cooked to order. The rooms are spacious and comfortable wih good shower facilities. The dining room serves good evening meals and you an get bar snacks. Friendly staff and good service in all areas

Although located 10-15 min walk from centre of town the hotel was very good value excellent friendly staff which mad emy stay very comfortable.

The location is great. Only 1 minute to the beach and bus station. The breakfast is yummy and stuff are kindly. The internet in some rooms is not quite good, but the bed is comfortable

This is a small family run hotel. It's about a 10 min walk (including a hill) to the town centre; closer to the beach. There are bus stops about 5 mins walk from the hotel (either up the hill or down the hill...). The room we had was pretty small and very tired. The bathroom door does not really shut properly and doesn't therefore give much privacy since if you are on the loo, someone in bed is about 2 feet away through the gap! The heating was adequate - but it never felt warm. Having said that, we come from a hot place and it was a particularly cold spell while we were there, so most people would not notice it. The room has everything you need - everything! Just all laid out slightly oddly. Breakfast was great. The best part of the hotel is the owner - he could not have been nicer, especially given we arrived without half our luggage thanks to the airline losing it at Manchester. He let us check in early and stay later and was just such a sweetie. I thought it was good value for the price and enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at The Edelweiss. We arrived before check-in time, so we simply left our bags with Shirley, the manager of this lovely hotel. As we wanted to explore as much of the island as we can, we weren't able to return to the hotel until very late in the evening (around 10:45PM). We were worried that nobody will be available to open the main door (we haven't checked in so we don't have a key/card to enter the premises). Fortunately, Shirley and another staff were still there waiting for us. The hotel location is ideal, right on Queens Promenade, very close to the electric railway and the ferry terminal. We had a cozy sea view room, which was a bargain for the price that we paid. We will definitely stay at The Edelweiss again the next time we visit Isle of Man.

Nice host with warm welcoming. I arrived early than expected time, but the room was already ready. So I could do the check in earlier. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices.

As a business traveller I'm often cautious about booking into what appears to be a seaside holiday hotel. The Welbeck removed all of these fears. The room was a very generous size and tastefully furnished and decorated. The bathroom was impeccably clean as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The restaurant provided a very pleasant dining experience with an interesting menu that was fresh, well prepared and tasty. As a business traveller I was amazed at the quality of the free wifi; possibly the best I have experienced in a hotel. Overall, the hotel, although just off the main Esplanade provided excellent value for money and I would happily use it again and recommend it highly.

Great few days, I was travelling alone, and the staff made me feel welcome, great atmosphere, good room - clean and tidy & plenty of hot water. Breakfast was amazing, all freshly cooked, and tasted great. I have to travel a lot, many places just ignore you, but every time I came downstairs at the At Caledonia, I always got a warm greeting and a little conversation, very impressed. Will definitely seek this place again if come back to Isle of Man.

We had a wonderful stay at Inglewood. The staff couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and ensure that we had everything we needed. The room was perfect with a wonderful sea view. Hope we can visit again next year.

The location was great, the staff was the friendliest and most helpful staff we've ever encountered. Even better, the mattress was very comfortable. The rooms were charming. You can't beat the price. Best value for money! We will stay again!
